Kath is an absolute diamond - the jewel of the place. All staff are friendly and attentive, but she remembers everyone's name at will and is the jack in the box that boosts the energy levels first thing when you arrive and at breakfast each morning. The breakfast was stunning, and a great choice, nothing too much trouble. We had the four poster room, which was cosy and the bed was very comfortable too. Even though the tv was not meant to be able to source Netflix seemingly, it did, which was great for us to log in to our own netflix as freeview TV is rubbish so it was nice to access decent television through streaming. The location to the centre of the town is great also as it is not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle and is quite quiet outside, being on the main road.
Not a criticism, just an option for improvement. Maybe allowing guests to eat some take away food in the room would be nice - still charge for excessive smells/stains etc. Just that with all pubs etc stopping serving food around half 8, there is no option to eat really (unless a trip to the spar or co op for a pasty or crisps etc), so maybe just relaxing this rule. But that is a miniscule thing as we like to source a chippy or chinese takeaway when we are away to enjoy the rooms we stay in after a day of sight seeing.

Cath the owner was so friendly, after booking our breakfast time we were shown to our room. The room was lovely, a great size with a comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate plus flavoured tea & biscuits. Fresh milk in the fridge in the breakfast area. Our bathroom was across from our room in a totally private area, with a lovely shower, toiletries & fluffy towels. We were given our key, WiFi & emergency contact number. We were able to leave our car on check out day so we could explore the village. You can book direct with the hotel for a better rate
Everything was great 😃

The hotel was very well situated for all of Llangollen's facilities. Cathy was very helpful with details of buses and transport. As I had a very early on Saturday morning, Cathy had done a very nice picnic breakfast bag with lost of goodies. This was much appreciated. The room was very clean and tidy and the TV worked for a change. On Sunday, the choice of cereals was massive. I had a cooked breakfast and this was good. The staff were all very friendly and I would stay again.
The only problem was that my room was at the front and overlooked the A5. This is a busy road and although ear plugs were provided, I did not use them in case I over slept and did not hear my alarm clock.

The Owner Cath was lovely and very welcoming chatty and bubbly and lovely staff. nothing to much fir them. Room very homely and warming. clean fresh linen clean towels with little touches such as shower gels shampoos and a lovely hot power shower. Endless amounts of tea coffee and biscuits in the room. Bed was comfy and cosy.. lovely cooked breakfast with also a choice of fruit cereals and toast with preserves. Highly recomend a nice experience in the cambrian house. And walking distance to town centre. Cath in full of knowledge of where is nice to go around the area. We have throughly enjoyed our break away in llangollen. Thankyou Cath and Staff for your wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back to see you in the summer. Thanks again Kerry and Brian
The location the Cambrian house is a stones throw away from the lovely town with plenty of bars and places to eat.

Cath is a great host with good knowledge of the local areas. I took her advice for two restaurants nearby for evening meals and they were both good recommendations. There was an plentiful supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. in the room or available if extras were needed - unlike to miserly couple of teabags other hotels tend to supply. The location was perfectly located for my intention to walk in the Berwyn mountains. It was also very easy to find. Just stay on the A5 through Llangollen, if you miss it you need an optician.

Good communication with Cath the owner before arriving. Arranged parking and met me at the car. My room was up two floors, so she carried my case up for me. She explained all the house rules and left me to it till morning. Comfy single bed, a power shower that is better than the one I have at home, TV and enough tea and coffee to cater for 50! Everything spotlessly clean. Absolutely dead quiet and I slept well. Came down in the morning and had a modest cooked breakfast (I could have had the works plus cereals) with toast and jam plus plenty of tea. I've stayed in B and Bs that charge double what I paid but are half as good. Cath makes the place in my opinion. Funny, kind and welcoming. You'd be nuts to stay anywhere else!
The only thing was that I could only stay one night.

We loved everything about Cambrian House. The room was spotless and really comfortable. It was well stocked daily with a variety of teas, coffees and biscuits, The staff were lovely and Cath the owner was so friendly and made our stay there so pleasant, nothing was too much for her. The breakfast was fab too! It's really well situated within the lovely town, just a short walk to the shops, steam railway, and the River and with plenty of great places to eat. We would definitely return.

A great welcome from Cathy on arrival. Communication regarding car parking spaces was helpful and necessary. I stayed in room 7, a single room, for 1 night. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the power shower was lovely. With no shortage of hot water. I've never seen so much tea and coffee in a room. If you have a caffeine addiction, there's more left out for the guests downstairs. There are complimentary boiled sweets in the room as well as biscuits. The staff were lovely, chatty, friendly, and helpful. It's a homely B&B
I had one small issue with the room. There is a large gap at the bottom of the room door. With the lights being on in the outside corridor overnight. I found that there was too much light coming into the room. A simple draught excluder would solve the problem, as did the bath mat that evening.

The owner Cath was extremely hospitable & friendly & nothing was too much trouble. She met us on arrival & allocated us our parking space. The staff, Rachel, Laura & the 2 young girls were all brilliant as well. The room was spotless, beds were comfortable & a very nice room with all the things you need (a great choice of hot drinks & biscuits). The breakfast was superb with lots of choices & plenty of it. It was ideally situated in Llangollen & within easy walking distance to the restaurants & shops etc. A great place to stop & highly recommended. A little gem of an old coaching house.

Great location Quiet first floor bedroom on the side away from the road Good breakfast in bright and sunny room Clean bedroom and ensuite shower room Recommendation to book a table at the Cornmill restaurant- had a great dinner there
Yoghurt with breakfast would have just sealed the deal! A shame that the House rules are so shouty. Worth considering relaying out the poster design to be less 1970s Faulty Towers Guest housey/ in your face. But did mean all the other residents (it was full) were quiet and considerate to us . 2 small armchairs in the breakfast room would have been good to relax away from your bedroom as there is no guest lounge Loose bedhead on the single bed in Room 10 needs tightening
