Check-in easy, spacious room and en-suite. Comfortable bed. Pleasant grounds. Hotel was very busy and the breakfast staff seemed to be struggling to keep the self service breakfast items topped up. Having said that the breakfast was excellent, all fresh produce, and there was no problem if you wanted, say scrambled eggs rather than the fried that were already there. Cannot comment on dinner as we had other plans.

Had to ask for more than two teabags in room. Also room was very noisy when there was wedding in the afternoon. Thankfully it had finished by 5/6 pm. However at 10pm had to request that the music, which was playing on a constant loop, in the now empty wedding reception room, be turned off! This was done immediately and was apologised for. Would still come again but would specifically ask for a quiet room away from any wedding or function rooms.

Our room was big and airy with queen size bed, two chairs at a table, tea and coffee facilities and a large en-suite. As a pet friendly room we were also very impressed with the large dog bed and two large dog bowls that were provided. It showed that the room was also prepared for a dog not just a normal room where the dog was allowed. Breakfast was excellent. A full range of cereal, cooked English, toast fruit and special eggs at request, eg poached. The reception staff couldn't have been more cheerful, friendly and helpful. Milk for the baby at night (our son's room), extra towels, extra room keys! There were a number staff changes with the shifts overnight and everyone was lovely. We were very late arrivals, after a wedding, but there was no hint of a problem and the advance on-line check in proved very helpful. The staff at breakfast were also excellent. Replenishing the buffet constantly and always with a smile. (The dog was alo able to join us in the breakfast room). We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend.

Some of the chairs in the dining room are looking a bit tired. (But that's a very minor pick, except that the hotel is considered as one of the better hotels in the area).

Hotel very well situated. Plenty of parking. Check in was swift. Hotel and grounds very clean, tidy and well presented. Staff friendly and efficient. Room was very spacious, exceptionally clean and well furnished.

The mattress and pillows were very, very firm so might be worth asking for a softer pillow. The TV picture was of poor quality and I was unable to brighten it. (Only an issue because I couldn't sleep on the hard pillow). I only stayed for one night so didn't raise these issues with the hotel as they are personal preference. I would have done if I had been staying longer and I am sure they would have been resolved. Some road noise for rooms at the front of the hotel if you prefer to keep your window open. This also affected the outdoor wedding we attended as we could not hear the ceremony. Perhaps a PA system would resolve this. Lots of stairs up to the suites on the third floor might be an issue but I expect anyone with mobility issues would check this before booking.

Website and Booking.com misleading. Photos don’t show that hotel backs right onto a busy (daytime) B Road between Wrexham and Chester. Check Google Earth ! But if room not close then little traffic noise. Bed rather soft. Needs upgrading to Premier Inn standard. Overall vibe of hotel more geared to corporate and wedding events - visibly promoted in lobby and public areas. etc So hotel less suited as a quiet , country house 24 hr day retreat

Breakfast Staff did not clear away dishes, we had to put them on another table. Waited ages by the “please wait here to be seated” sign, so did other guests. In the end we sat at a table and helped ourselves. Spilt cereal not cleared away. No croissants or pastries on the days we stayed. No pleasantries from breakfast staff… no “good morning”. The tinned fruit cocktail was below standard. Every hotel we stay in has far better quality and choice of fresh berries, nuts, seeds etc.

..A lovely hotel, ideal for our needs as we were going to a family party at The Golden Lion Pub, a 5 minute walk away. The staff in the hotel were efficient and friendly, the room (s) very comfortable, quiet and warm. Plenty of hot water and Elemis products provided in the bathroom, also a bath - bliss ! (not just a shower) perfect on a cold winter evening ! Breakfast served in Oscars was very good - hot buffet and all the other usual breakfast items: juice, fruit, croissants, toast, cereal , muesli etc. The bar also looked very inviting though we didn't visit as we were out for the evening. We would stay again if the price was the same ☺️

A spa would be the icing on the cake, but the lack of spa facilities didn't spoil our stay.

There was a party on (which we were informed about as soon as we booked) until 1am and the music was very loud considering it is a hotel. They did try to accommodate us as best as they could but it was still enough to keep me awake due to the location of our room being at the front by the function room and where people were smoking. There was also apparently leaking in the room below us so either the broken sealant around the bath or the overflow leak. No inconvenience for us really but the room below would have been.

Lovely setting and a good location for exploring NE Wales. Bedroom was large and airy. Staff were accommodating and friendly. The village of Rossett had some options for eating out.

Attention to cleanliness (dust accumulations) could be improved eg all the drawer handles had a recessed groove that was full of ? Level of service at breakfast varied upon the duty 'Crew'; on 2 of the 4 mornings we had to go and ask for our choice from the menu and tables were not being cleared and cleaned. The stay was not even by mid September but the hotel had a semi 'closed-up for the winter' feel.

I recently stayed at Rossett Hall Hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. The bedrooms are incredibly spacious, beautifully designed, and clean, offering a sense of comfort and luxury. Slow breakfast service

The room was gorgeous. Very nicely decorated. Breakfast was nice. Dinner was excellent. The grounds were kept very nice. The bed was very comfortable.

First lady on reception was a bit blunt and we felt judged! I wasn't offered a room on the ground floor even though I am disabled and no lift. The corridors and window sills needed cleaning. There were events going on so we couldn't use the seating outside. No USB charging ports. The staff at dinner were very distant and we had to go to the bar to ask for the bill.
