Brilliant location and easy to get to, and even though we're only there for 1 night, the rooms were spotless, staff were super friendly, and a full day in the spa to top off included in our stay which was superb !!

The entrance is right on the bypass so getting in is easy, however exiting when it's busy you can be waiting a while, no fault of the hotel at all but just a heads up for anyone whose a nervous driver

The hotel and resort were excellent. We ate in the restaurant which was quite reasonable and the breakfast buffet was great. Staff were amazing. We specifically asked for a canal view and were not disappointed. Being able to open double doors to sit and relax. Watching canal boats going up and down, they moored boats by the bar/dining area. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa, sauna, gym available free to hotel guests. Treatments and package deals available. I had a lovely pedicure

Bathroom was a little small and handle kept banging against the glass shower wall. (We put a towel on handle which helped)

The overall feel of the resort was veryrelaxed and friendly and just what we wanted. Breakfast buffet was great , everything you could ask for and all hot food hot. Room was basically enough a bit tired looking decor but did what we wanted. Great location, although getting out of resort onto main road was horrible often took ages waiting for an opportunity to join main flow of traffic, the main road out of resort was very busy. Facilities good. Grounds good. Overall very pleasant stay.

I needed to be on ground floor really as I am not very mobile. I use a walking stick and being on the 1st floor was a bit awkward.

Food was great, the restaurant/bar was a really lovely space to relax

I read some comments prior to travelling about the hotel needing a full refurb. My opinion is it could really just do with a deep clean in places and a better regular maintenance program. The bedrooms and pool facilities were excellent, real value for money but tiles missing in places(pool side showers in particular) and discoloured grout are nothing a bottle of limelight wouldn’t sort..same with limescale on the showers and men’s changing room showers also.. The restaurant chairs again really nice, certainly don’t need replacing but some are stained and there are so many that these should be set aside for cleaning. Just some small touches here and there to take your eyes off the wear and tear hotels experience and this would be excellent.

Good value for money as you can use the facilities Matthew pm reception is really nice and made the booking in experience good and very friendly . Good breakfast nice view from room . Beautiful location

Needs lights in the spa pool they used to have lights in a few years ago ..it's very dark now The sauna and steam were not working at the pool side so we used the ones in the spa area ..staff were fine with this apart from one spa worker a lady with blond hair She came on and threw select people out which was quite embarrassing , considering the facilities were out of order at poolside I'm not sure why she would do this when it wasn't that busy and everyone was relaxing with on issues ..on the sat when we used the spa the staff had no problem it was just on the Sunday

The canal view. Food was great. Leisure facilities were perfect. Location spot on for where we were visiting.

Needed more signage, for example we walked from hotel to spa and ended up walking round the back way. Just a simple sign pointing us in the right direction would have been ideal. Also, there was no sign on the jacuzzi about the age limit, so my daughter was asked to get out, which isn't an issue, but a sign would have prevented this. Also, I didn't see a pool depth sign but could have missed it, so we didn't know if there was a shallow end before entering. Signs are a great form of communication, and improvement could be made.

Good breakfast. Good leisure facilities. Everything we needed was provided in the bedroom. The lovely 🍾 bottle in our room as a gift was a real treat.

On arrival - it’s strange to see an office type room where there used to be a small lounge. At least use blackout windows so guests arriving don’t see a room full of computers! Rather strange. Better lighting needed in bedroom and bathroom. Some bulbs weren’t working - maintenance should repair this as also with the broken chain for bath plug. A mirror or mirrors needed in bedroom.

Breakfast was really good. Lots to choose from. Restaurant was very comfortable. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Heating was easy to control. In Room dinner service was very efficient. We were really pleased that we were able to order In Room. Food was very good and the person who delivered our meal was professional and polite. We used the pool facilities which was lovely and the sauna was great. Access to the canal tow path was easy and we enjoyed a long walk up to Chirk Castle without having to get into the car.

When we arrived it was very cold and the car park and paths were very icy, including near to the entrances to the spa building and the hotel. We think more attention should have been paid to ensuring paths were safe to walk on. A lot of people were struggling to cross these areas and scared of slipping over. Not having been before, we unloaded our bags near the spa building and walked across the icy paths only to find we were at the wrong building. Signage was not clear. Some of the aspects in the bathroom were a bit shabby. Bottom of door was rotting due to water damage. Sealing around base of sink was very unsightly. Tiles on base of shower looked a bit grubby. Room 129.

I like the area where it is Situated. I love the kindness of the Staffs. I like the facilities, jacuzzi, Sauna, pool and indeed the breakfast restaurant. Very beautiful and Christmas Spirit special decorations. Polite and helpful staffs. Good hosts. Overall I rate all of them 8/10.

I was a bit confused what was discussed before I proceed with my payments of booking the place, regarding the use of the facilities as different staffs told me different timing the facilities closed, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm. But I confirmed with, I believe a Senior confident conseige staff make sure what time the facilities closed. On a second, note I asked to change an iron but I was given another broken iron. That's it. Thanks
