Staff were very friendly and upon arrival, we were shown around and given the right amount of housekeeping. The sit out area in front of the bird feeder was perfect as the sun was setting. The area was quiet. The hotel was warm and inviting, decor was good. Toiletries were divine. Staff were knowledgeable about dietary requirements and the breakfast was fab.

These aren't so much what we didn't like but defintely more of what could be done better. The corridor/stairs/landing could have been a little cleaner, console table needed cleaning and so did the large windowsill to the large window (debris and insects). Crumbs/food in the corners of my chair at breakfast. Curtains in our room were torn.

Beautiful location. Lovely staff and owners. Fabulous food. Hotel a little shabby in places. Poor approach to the front door with awkward steps. There is a ramp to the side of the hotel. Very dog friendly. We changed rooms due to a very noisy extractor fan, to an outside room with a small patio, which was ideal for us and our dog. May not suit everyone as had steps up to this and no internal corridor or cover to get to this area. Lots of nice walks locally and an exercise field for the dog. Super breakfast included in the price , and 5* dining at a set rate for four courses. Local area very beautiful with lots to see and do. Hotel has maps and walks available to borrow. Dog washing area. Overall a very nice short break. Lots of free parking

Breakfast was amazing, the small grounds to walk in was beautiful, the Summer House to observe the wild life & birds was lovely.

Our Sirloin Steak was very disappointing…. There was a lot of talk from the staff about us booking with Booking.com and made to feel slightly less welcome because we booked with them…in the room the info says “all our guests are welcomed with Warm Scones and Teas” however we had to ask for ours and the reason given for not being ‘offered’ it on arrival was that it was because we booked with booking.com and not directly with them…..we thought this was very un welcoming and we felt judged because of this….so we suggest booking.com immediately take this up with the hotel…..

In a lovely countryside location with great views , beautiful gardens with lots of gazebos & places to sit to enjoy a drink. The evening meal was exceptional as was the Welsh Rarebit for breakfast. It was obvious the staff wanted us to enjoy the place, with advice on walks & info about the area. Our room had a little outdoor space with table & chairs with a view.

The mattress would benefit from a topper , but a very minor issue.

Beautiful building, gardens, views and location. Food was top notch, it wasn't cheap but you could see why when it came. The chef and kitchen staff must be very good. You felt like the Lord of the Manor, and were treated as though you were. Staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Could do with signs on both sides of the entrance drive so muppets like me who get lost on their sat nav know they've reached it, lol.

We did not expect the beautiful place to be so lovely - open log fires - attentive cheerful staff - THE FOOD ( evening meal & breakfast - what can I say apart from AMAZING - i have eaten in top london resturants and this matched them in every way, locally sourced suppliers - absolutely divine almost forgot about the bar which is well stock with delicious wines - i just wish it was closer to home so i could sample the whole menue!!! Room was spacious lovely powerful shower over bath - everything i needed in my room - fantastic countryside - great walking area. We will be back !!! lovely to support small business, with there outstanding service and attention to detail. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all.

that i only got to stay for 1 night !!!!!!! would have loved to chill out and stay for a week . such a relaxing house. tried to uplaod pics error message - shame

Lovely hotel in the middle of beautiful hills. The staff is very friendly too. We had dinner with them and it was very very good! Our superior room had a big jacuzzi, fantastic. In the morning they prepare leaflets with recommendations, weather forecast.. a lovely touch. And they are dog friendly ;)

The night stay with dinner and wine can be a bit expensive ; I guess it depends on what you are looking for .

Beautiful hotel in a stunning, rural setting with breathtaking views. We stayed in the Pink Room, which had everything we needed. It was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Wonderful, friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one. Would definitely love to return here again one day.

Location brilliant , very quiet perfect outlook over the hills and garden , met the owner lovely Lady.staff so efficient bar restuarant very nice and the staff serving you like a well oiled train, room very comfortable, excellent for older couples to get away from everyday life

Great location for rural break. Staff were helpful from the getgo. Great views from walk out from hotel. Dinner was delicious. Good wine selection. Room was comfortable with private aspect. Lots to do in area, Llangollan, walks, and waterfalls. Loved the lack of road noise and being able to hear all the birdsong in the morning.

That we could not stay longer ;). I do not usually stay in hotels, or I go abroad where prices are less, so with all meal bills included just for one night this did feel like stretching the budget for me though I understand this was reasonable for the UK and worth it as a treat. (We were very tempted by offer at breakfast table of an additional night with food included - unfortunately had plans to be elsewhere). Ps. You could do with some heating lamps in the and working lights in the summer house would be nice.
