Room was spacious, firm mattress which I prefer, conservatory bar was good, nice 10 minute along the river into the town.

Made a booking for the spa for 8 people which they put in the wrong day so when we arrived to use it they were fully booked so that was very disappointing for everyone.

We didn’t have breakfast or use the spa so can’t comment on those things. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet at this hotel, no noise from the road etc. The location is excellent as it is only a short walk to the river-promenade from where you can walk to the centre of Llangollen in around 10 minutes over all. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and there is a pond with a small bridge across from the car park to the outside seating area. There is a bar that provides a different menu to the restaurant if preferred. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for a longer stay next time. Very reasonably priced.

Great location - quiet but very near Llangollen and its attractions. Building with character, perfectly maintained and florally charming. Staff wonderful at all levels and facilities, and could not be more helpful. Food excellent - great quality fresh ingredients, and well presented and served. Plenty of space in clusters and snugs for quiet time or small group chatting. Great rural view from room. Ample car parking, and also good bus service - unusual for a country hotel to be so easily accessible by public transport.

Bed and mattress were rather 'tired'. Bed was double bed size, but room could easily have taken a queen or king size - for type of hotel this would be a reasonable expectation. No EV charging facility, though available reasonably nearby. Hotel locally managed superbly with lots of character and personalisation, but some external aspects of ownership chain negatively intrusive, such as computer not being able to issue keys ahead of check-in time even though room available and check-in completed; secret bidding process for room upgrade option conducted through third party system rather than in-house. In-house review system digitally cumbersome and not user friendly.

Lovely hotel just a 10 mins walk to the centre on Llangollen (it's also possible to walk along the Riverbank path which starts almost opposite the hotel, rather than walking alongside the main road). The staff were friendly and helpful and made a fuss of my dog. The standard double room was a very generous size and mine had a very comfortable super king bed. It had a nice outlook onto the small courtyard and was very quiet at night. The grounds around the hotel are landscaped beautifully and there is also a small pond with a bridge over. I didn't eat at the hotel as I prefer to use local restaurants etc. , but the restaurant often looked full .

I had an issue is the beginning, in that after i had made my non refundable booking on booking.com, I then had an email from the hotel saying that I would also need to pay £30 per night for my dog. The booking.com website states that any additional amounts to pay must be shown within booking conditions. For whatever reason, when I booked , the dog charges were not shown (and i checked all the 'dropdowns'). Happily, I reached a compromise with the lady on reception when I arrived, and had a great stay . I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place and very dog friendly. We've not stayed in a hotel with our dog before. Staff did so much to make everything simple.

Disappointed that there was such a large charge to add our dog to the booking. £30 per night seems steep when the rooms aren't cleaned daily.

Breakfast had a wide selection of options to suit every palette which were delicious and plentiful. Staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Left dining room feeling satisfied in body and mind having enjoyed a very pleasant experience and enjoying the feeling of being well taken care of. Evening meals were equally good, delicious, nutritious and sumptuous and tasty. The Receptionist was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and added to the unpleasantness of the overall stay. And being able to ask for more supplies of tea and milk there was a bonus. My friend made most of spa facilities and thought they were excellent. We felt spoiled, taken care of and will be recommending to others as well as staying again ourselves. Thank you.

Little thing but in bathroom toilet roll holder too far away from the toilet but other than that nothing.

Location for a wedding we attended. Helpful staff in hotel and restaurant. Good selection for breakfast. The room was immaculately clean.

Uncomfortable bed. Duvet and room too hot, even with windows fully open. Staff in The Glasshouse were very busy with a wedding and we waited a long time (20 mins) to have the system for the bistro explained to us. We had a reservation but no one came forward when we told them this. Because we had the windows fully open and were overlooking the front of the hotel, wedding guests were noisy when leaving, past midnight.

Breakfast was very good, good choice and well cooked with a good variety .The standard room was good with enough storage, just that the bed was a bit too soft.as I was only staying for two nights it was fine, any longer and I would have asked if they had any rooms with a firmer mattress (for my back) that is my only gripe. I had fish and chips for an evening meal and it was delicious, possibly the best tartar sauce I’ve had, very tasty fish with chunky chips. Service was excellent and all with a smile,.great location for the area too.

The bed was too soft, my back prefers a firmer mattress.

The ambience of the entrance was nice. The receptionists on Sunday and on Monday was very welcoming and informative about the area. The staff in the restaurant (breakfast), very attentive and ensured personal needs were met. And was ready on the table (soya milk). The beds, quilt and sheets. The darkness of the room at night. Even though we got the last room which was stated as 2 single beds. We thought it was a room with 2 double beds and surprised at the size of the single. But we were ok. The bed was comfortable and we moved them together…..whoops! The room was quite dark, during the day and not much light coming in from outside. The view was very nice but for the one night it was ok. There was a consistent noise throughout the night that caused us to take a while to fall asleep. In room 212. Made you feel you was in a back room . Highly recommend descaling your kettles regularly, concentrated lemon works well.

The hotel is based on lovely grounds with lovely little features around the grounds. We booked a two hour spa (spa has to be booked can’t just turn up) the spa has a swimming pool that is warm with jets that you can turn on by pressing a button it has a sauna and steam room the spa isn’t as big as we thought does have places to sit also The changing rooms are not so much changing rooms there is lockers to store away your belongings that requires £1 and showers and a toilet no we’re to actually get changed you can rent towels at the spa for £2 each and robes for £7.50 each I’d suggest wearing your swim wear under your clothes if your not comfortable in getting changed infront of people or can get changed in the toilet but it is small There is also a treatment part but we didn’t use this We didn’t dine in the restaurant but it looked like it was a lovely place to eat We booked the king suite it was lovely and spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable the room comes with a kettle and items to make tea and coffee and hot chocolate there is also an iron in the wardrobe Staff are really friendly and helpful We was really happy with our stay and will be coming back :)
