Booked as it was a studio and I just wanted a place to lay my head and break a long journey. The room was very well appointed, clean with a very nice bathroom. Croissants, Jame and butter left for breakfast and a microwave and tea making facilities. The big surprise was the pub itself. It’s a community pub with a decent range of beers and spirits. I arrived around 7:30pm on a Wednesday and it was busy and a felt so welcome staying chatting for several hours.

Not much, getting to the room is a bit of a phaff with a low ceiling but that’s nitpicking.

The Raven Inn, like the village shop, is community owned and run. Our room was equipped to self cater had we wished to; the fridge was stocked with continental breakfast for the first day, and the pub is now serving food on some days. The evening meal we had the first night was simple pub grub but plentiful, well presented and tasty. We took our cocker spaniel with us (£10/nt extra) & a footpath through open fields led literally right past the pub. Also Loggerheads Country Park is a short drive away and the amenities of Ruthin and Mold were in easy reach. All told we had a great 2 night stay & would stay at the Raven again.

The only minor niggle we had was that the refrigerator in the room was a little noisy at night, but the usefulness of a kitchenette far outweighed this small inconvenience.

Great community run pub and rooms. We were there on one of the hottest days of the year - a small fan was provided. Croissants (individually wrapped), coffee, juice etc was provided in the room for breakfast along with a fridge and microwave. We ate in the pub and the food and service were great especially as the pub was exceptionally busy.

Being vegetarian I'm always disappointed with the choice - or lack of - in most pubs and restaurants. I had risotto but it's hardly an inspired choice (and very cheap to make!).

Room was clean and had coffee/ fridge/ basic complimentary breakfast as pub only open evenings. Nice atmosphere as well attended by locals as a community run pub. Food offer over weekends which was nicely presented.

Very difficult to get in and out of village due to roadworks effectively cutting it off. Strange dinner arrangement if you go at beginning of week..ie there isn't any and you have to get a takeaway delivered to pub unless you want to drive. Nothing else in village.

Lovely room, had heater and self-controlled heated towel rail, microwave, fridge, sink, crockery, etc. Pub downstairs was busy on a Sunday afternoon - a real community hub. Steak. & Fries van outside on a Sunday when the pub kitchen was closed. Friendly staff and locals.

Bed had seen better days - very soft and unsupportive. Continental breakfast was just a long life croissant and jam. Better to advertise as room only, I think.

Very friendly staff and a lovely comfy room. Well equipped and with a nice view out over the front of the pub. Unfortunately didn’t have time to try the food as we were out for the evening, but the menu and food being served looked very good. A great community asset.

We struggled slightly with parking when we first arrived, but it was a fine Saturday afternoon and the pub was pretty busy ( which is obviously a good thing ), but we didn’t wait too long for a space.

Location. Very friendly locals. A real buzz in the pub. Good food. Helpful, friendly staff. Comfy beds. Good shower. Could cater a ready meal in the microwave on the days the pub's not catering. The community shop sells a range of food. (But shuts at 4.00, before check in time)

Breakfast was limited, but you're essentially paying a room only price anyway! But you could offer: porridge pots, cereal packs, fruit, bread, yoghurt maybe.

Great little apartment above a community owned pub. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The pub has limited hours outside of Thursday to Sunday, but someone was available to let us in. Breakfast is very limited, but there's a small community shop next door for supplies and snacks. We stopped there while hiking Offa's Dyke and were very happy with our choice.

Breakfast supplies could be a little better especially if catering to hikers on Offa's Dyke. Luckily we were able to pick up some extra items at the shop next door (opens at 8am).

Good kitchen facilities with hob oven and fridge. Very comfy bed. have stayed many times. All staff/volunteers (it is a community pub) very helpful and friendly. In a delightful setting in the middle of a village and opposite the church. Highly recommended.

Crockery was a little limited but we could ask at the bar for more. Some problems with the wifi being slow but it may have been our computer. There is a steep staircase to the rooms and this may be difficult for some people.

Beautiful village location nestled in the Clwyd hills, with a wonderful village pub atmosphere. The room was excellent; very spacious with a nice big and super comfortable bed, and also a sofa and very well equipped kitchenette. We ate dinner in the pub and the food was excellent. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Being able to have the dogs with us was a real bonus

There was a lot of noise which went on quite late from the pub below. I think there was a function on.
