The room was very comfortable and clean. It had a DVD player, and there was a room which contained shelving with a selection of books, DVD's and CD's, which you could use. The room was spacious and well equipped

We was sent a code for the front door, as well as the room number, we entered the and headed to the room, the room key, front door key fob and parking permit was on the table in the room. There was no interaction with the owners or the staff. There was a bar, but there was no one around to ask if we could use it, times of opening and closing etc. so because it was New Years Eve, we ended up in the town instead

Great location. The room was also larger than we expected even though it's described as "small". Very much appreciated the fan that was provided in the hot weather, and the complimentary tea and biscuits. Didn't get to try the food sadly as we were busy but the restaurant looked beautiful also.

The bed wasn't very comfortable (the mattress specifically wasn't firm) and there were some cobwebs but they were high-up in the room though so may have been hard to reach.

Lovely room, comfortable and clean. A parking permit is provided for local spaces. Well situated for the town and its amenities. I would recommend a stay here and if I am in the area again I would choose to stay here again.

I couldn’t comment on the staff as I didn’t see or speak to anyone while I was there, which I felt was a shame. Other guests woke me in the middle of the night being noisy which is no fault of the property/its owners. Bathroom was a little odd with the sink external to the bathroom. For me the checking out was a little disjointed as I vacated the room by the required time, took my belongings to the car two streets away, then had to return to the property to return the parking permit to the room. I have to stress this is a preference rather than an issue because it’s lovely that they provide the permits in the first place. Perhaps this could be addressed with a discreet drop box and the room number written on the back of the permit sheet (maybe there is one that I wasn’t aware of).

The communication with the owners is great regards checking in & out. 11am check out is later than a lot of other hotels/B&Bs. Fab central location with ( a free parking permit )parking literally 3 minutes away. Our room was modern, clean, well furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had an issue with the heating in our room, called Gavin and he sorted the problem promptly. We will definitely try and book The Manorhaus next time we stay in Ruthin.

Great location and very comfortable. Good quality coffee and tea available in the room that was replenished everyday. Girlfriend loved the library room.

I'm personally not a massive fan of self chevk-in and also think 4pm is a little late. Didn't really see any staff and didn't bother ordering food as you had to do so 24hrs in advance via email. No menus in the room and felt they weren't interested in doing food.

Very comfortable room with two nice easy chairs. Heater was very efficient and easy to operate. Cafetiere for making proper ground coffee was a bonus.

Could have had more choice of cereals for breakfast. A buffet with fresh fruit etc would have been good. Breakfast coffee would have been better in a cafetiere as we had in our room.

Well designed and creatively decorated, the manorhaus was an absolute treat to us pair of walkers on nearby Offa’s Dyke. Instructions are very clear on how to access the property by the keypad. The room and bed were extremely comfortable and quiet. Best of all was meeting the hospitable Gavin, the proprietor, who not only sets a chic atmosphere, but cooks up a fantastic breakfast. We’d happily stay here again!

Only thing I could think of would be no on site parking, but so many options nearby that it wasn’t a problem. Proprietors supplied parking permit for the nearby car parks. Such a beautiful historic little town and it just added to the charm!

Gorgeous property, just been refurbished. Very welcoming owners. Lovely decor. Good location. Our dog was made very welcome too, a dog bed and bowls were provided too. There were some nice touches in the room, bathrobes, a fan ( it was a very hot day) the bathroom even had little jars with cotton buds and cotton wool pads. The towels were lovely and big. Breakfast choice was good and the ingredients were freshly cooked and of good quality. There is a lovely little bar area and they even have their own mini cinema in the cellar! The owners have obviously worked hard to make this a lovely place to stay. There is also a nice garden with seating. It’s well located and only 2 minutes walk up to the town - which is very pretty.

The only downside we found was you can’t park outside to drop off due to double yellow lines. However the hotel does kindly provide a free parking permit to the car park behind the police station. It’s a short walk.

We had the suite and would have found it helpful to be able to keep a few items cold plus keep fresh milk for tea and coffee. The step up into the toilet and bath area would benefit from a little illumination at night.
