The fact that you were able to use the bath alone/privately was a big pro. I was able to relax and use my phone as i was the only one in the bath. The dinner and breakfast were really great and the staff was very professional and helpful. Considering that everything in that town closes around 5pm, i recommend you sign up for the food service

Nothing really but the walk from the station was around 1km. I had no problem walking the distance.

1) location - just a few mins drive from the Floral Village, and within walking distance to the train station. 2) parking - available parking space in front of the hotel. Free. 3) onsen - there are a few for men and ladies. 4) breakfast - delicious. Must order their dinner in advance. Limited restaurants around the area and they close early. 5) staff - very helpful and courteous, though limited English. Helped us to call to a few restaurants for our dinner, because we didn't book our dinner at their place,in advance.

Nothing that we didn't like. It meets our expectation.

We really liked the onsen system which allowed us to check online which baths were in use or not and there were plenty of options (and for families, one of them even had a baby cot near the onsen so you could swim while keeping your baby nearby, safe). We also liked the location of this accommodation and the car park which was free and nearby.

The bedroom was the smallest we stayed in, in Kyushu but one of the most expensive in terms of size/value. But we were happy nonetheless.

Beautiful place. Loved it a lot. There were 5 private onsen and I love how progressive this place was and you could track if the onsesn was free or occupied online! I got to use only 3 out of 5 on the first night coz of next day I got the "time of the month" haha. Very embarrassing... and such a pitty! The food was amazing and the staff was very lovely! There was Taiwanese lady who spoke amazing English which was a bonus. Only few minutes walking to the train station and the main street. Great location and 1000% would recommend. Also it was really super cheap for what you get! Even I got a basic room, it was good enough.

That I didn't stay longer! Love this place. The only thing to keep in mind is that the rooms don't have bathrooms but it's a very minor thing as you can take a shower at the private onsen so it's not as big deal as I though originally

The service of the counter staff. And the outdoor onsen was great. We were able to cycle leisurely along the canal to Lake Kinrin.

The room given on 1st night was so noisy that we were given ear plugs . But they were kind enough to change our room for the 2nd night stay, which we really appreciate. And that saved the day as everything else was great.

We had the Sumi room, with the private bath. It was beautiful and relaxing. The beds were comfortable ( if you are used to a futon) the hotel was immaculate. The bath was the absolute highlight of the trip. We were quite happy being slightly outside of the main drag. Made for a good walk in the morning to see the surrounds and evrything was so much more peaceful.

We didn't sign up for the food and we definitely missed out. Unfortunately you can't ask for it after booking as they take time to prepare the food (days). Make sure you get the food package!

Our stay in Yufuin was the highlight of our two week stay in Japan. The value for money of our stay was unbeatable - we stayed in a room without bathroom, but the outlook was beautiful and it was traditional and rustic. Despite not having a bathroom you have the benefit of the private use of one of four of the onsens at no extra cost on a first come first served basis. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh, innovative and local - and the staff all super friendly. I'd travel out of my way to go here again!

the staff are very accommodating, especially JR cancelled our train to YuFU, we need to find another alternative way (bus)to reach , therefore we are late, however they still honoured the late dinner due to this reason, we are grateful

we had our own personal toilet but there is an unpleasant odour in the toilet, please do look into it

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The environment is really nice and relaxing. The private onsen is first come first serve, so you can check the availability on their website.

The train and bus stations are a bit of a walk, and there's no convenience store nearby.

There are private hot springs available, and you can check for vacant rooms by scanning a QR code. The dinner and breakfast are very delicious.

The room's windows do not let in much light, so it's basically impossible to open the curtains, which is a bit unfortunate.
