I wanted to express my appreciation for the wonderful staff. The lady at the front desk during check-in was incredibly helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond to assist with a special request. Carmen, who was managing the busy breakfast area on her own, did an amazing job keeping things running smoothly. She kindly helped my son make a waffle and maintained a warm, positive attitude despite the rush. Thank you for the excellent service!

I would recommend considering a slight change in the layout or adding a bit more space to the dining area. The food station is quite close to the tables, making it feel congested—especially during busy times. It can be tricky to get out once you have your food, as you need to navigate around closely placed tables where others are eating. A bit more space would really help improve the flow and comfort for everyone.

Generally a very nice hotel experience. Clean, very pretty breakfast room, everything I needed was in the room including comfortable chair with footrest. Everything worked. No hesitation when I asked for extra towels. Thank you to the staff. Breakfast had all the usual items, including hot food (although some items like the danishes were low quality).

I would personally like to thank Devin! I had a wedding to attend by 3 PM and check-in was at three. I called an hour prior. I had been calling all that morning. He made sure that the room was ready when I got there for early check-in at two so I made it to the wedding on time I just want to thank him because if it was for him I would’ve been really behind. Thanks again to Devin. Everything was really nice and clean, staff were very nice and polite, breakfast was on point as well. Thanks again for the stay, we will come back again!

Was convenient to Indiana Dunes National Park, West Beach. Had lots of close food choices, dinner and breakfast.

The security lock on the side door was broken and mgmt was aware of it. Hotel was busy and the breakfast room was too crowded for us to eat in our schedule. Not really the fault of the hotel. Put in for upgrade from queen to king room, app didn’t let us know it wasn’t available so we were surprised to be put in a queen room. Again, not the fault of the hotel.

It was okay, a basic accommodation on my way east. Clean. Front desk was exceptionally patient with guest whose credit card had expired. Not too far from State and National Parks.

Not run down, but it's in need of new paint. Not fault of property, but motorcycles traveling on road property faced were loud throughout the night -- Ask for a room in back. Restaurants and stores a short drive.

It was very comfortable. It is a great location for us. Close to family.

They didn't clean our room. They didn't change or make the bed. Didn't vacuum or take out the trash. Didn't get our towels or give us fresh towels. Didn't give is cups or trash bags. We were very disappointed with housekeeping

The room was great it was quite. Greeting was awesome. Breakfast was still hot and full at 925am when Breakfast is over at 930am. I've stayed in all the hotel in portage and usually dread booking again, but I will definitely stay here again. Thank you keep up the great work.

Need a few extra towels in the room

We are up early and we were such in a rush relying on family picking us up and dropping us off. it was great being able to eat breakfast before heading to my aunts services and burial.

they accidentally only keyed us for one night and not both nights. After several tries we returned to the front desk to get access to our room. I had booked an accessible room and had to remind at check in so he changed our room. I had a total knee replacement recently and have severe PTSD so anxiety hits pretty quick for me after being a survivor of the largest mass shooting in the United States on October 1, 2017. I was glad an accessible room was available but since that’s what I booked it would have been pretty bad if one wasn’t available.

Pet friendly.. I think all hotels should prohibit any type of animals. Ppl are allergic & it’s all in the air. They even brought dogs to the dining area during breakfast!

The lady in the dining area was very nice to regularly clean tables. She also kindly helped us and other guests with waffle makers.

1. The noise of the heater in the room is a bit loud. 2. The water in the shower though is hot but is a bit small.
