Excellent location close to but away from the tourist area. Nice large room, good air conditioning, good refrigerator. Good shower, hot water - lovely old building - super nice staff - we were very happy with it.

For our 7 night stay I had to buy a coffee pot and a couple of cups, but the pluses of this really nice hotel more than made up for the lack of a few amenities.

It’s a good location but if you are not familiar with Mexico it might feel a bit shady at night. The crew is super super nice though. We were lucky to be in the ground floor otherwise carrying suitcases up would’ve been tricky.

It was odd that the room for two people was the smallest one, we were very tight meanwhile the two single rooms were double the size. For the price not having breakfast felt a bit weird. More than a hotel it feels like a guest house. The parking is a bit tricky as well, rather tight.

Everything at the hotel was great, the place is beautiful and the staff is nice; but it’s important to consider its location. It’s surrounded by the busy streets of Progreso and there’s a bar (very lively and loud) nearby. In the mornings there were all kinds of activities around, music, people selling stuff, locals and tourists all around, etc and at night again loud music and partying which is ok, but we did not get any rest because of the noise at all times, day and night.

It’s a great hotel, but maybe bring your earplugs.

Far away from the party scene as to avoid the noise, but close enough to walk to it. Very quiet at night. Nice comfortable bed for a good night sleep. Everyone working there is so nice! They go the extra mile to make us feel great

A bit old and in dire need of maintenance. Bathroom smells and toilet leaks. WiFi is lacking

Wonderdul 100y old house rwnovated, with great size rooms, high 12 ft ceilings, parking at the back. Service was super good. one block from shore and 2 blocls from the MALECON PROGRESO, main plave for enjoying sunsets, great views, restaurants, marquesitas street cars, the meteor museum.... !!! The hotel has a small pool clean and fresh. Very recommended place in the nice and old Progreso town (founded in 1871 !!!)

Water pression at the shower is a little weak.

The staff were exceptional. There was a problem with our room. (Leaky bathroom sink.) We were provided an upgrade without hesitation. Loved the tall ceilings and old architecture. Location was fairly good.

We were only provided with two small bottles of water per day. I'm used to having a large jug of water at my disposal when I stay elsewhere. The first one being free. Then pay for any additional jugs beyond that.

A grand old house with high ceilings, cool and clean. The young lady manager is a priceless asset, full of local information and a willingness to make your stay perfect

There was nothing for me to complain about and normally I like to point out failings, they didn’t fail

The chef's level of attention to us was incredible. He absolutely could not do enough for us as well as the desk staff. We ate breakfast there 4 days of our stay and dinner once and the meals and presentation were fabulous. Best coconut shrimp I ever ate.

The was no hot water in the mornings so we had to request it be turned on however this was taken care of promptly.

First thing that stood out once I settled in, was how friendly the staff was. I have to give a shout out to Isaac, who is truly a joy and a brilliant chef. And I would eat his food any day of the week. Everything was immaculate and well-maintained. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you to all the staff.

Nothing comes to mind.
