Heartside Inn is a great B&B, was given the choice between savory and sweet meal options and food sensitivities were taken into account. There's also a lovely tea time snack and coffee/tea throughout the day. I stayed in the room on the main floor with a nice jacuzzi tub and small private porch. My innkeeper Julianne was great for finding fun things to do and providing options. I would stay again! Bed was comfy, water was hot, and I could not hear others moving about the house or on the street.

Nothing, everything was great. I could see how in the busy season parking would be extremely tight.

The Hearthside was the perfect choice for our 4 day stay near Acadia! The host Juliana, and all of her staff were warm, welcoming and absolutely dedicated to everyone's needs and comfort. The sweet or savory breakfast options were delicious, filling and made with wonderful (what seemed like local) ingredients. There were baked snacks and some drinks available throughout the day as well. The Common areas and our room was immaculate and the mattress and bedding were so comfy. Plus as a bonus, our bathroom had been recently renovated. The location was perfect! Located on a quiet side street but just a few minutes walk to all of the shops, restaurants and the beautiful harbor and activities. We even picked up our Acadia tour bus and bike rentals just a few blocks away. The restaurants in town were excellent. Recommendations: —Walk the sandbar at low tide to Bar Island and walk the inland island trail. —Take the Classic 2.5 hr Acadia tour with Acadia national Park Tours, to get the history of the park and area and this also takes you to the top of the mountain. —4 hour E-Bike rental was a highlight for us, riding on the many miles of graveled carriage roads throughout the park. —Our best dinner was the stuffed pork chop at Galyn's on Main Street. Also had Squash cakes which were nice. I'd also recommend for gin and tonic drinkers to order yours with Cold River Gin (made in Maine). It is a botanical Gin and was amazing!! Julianna was amazing! So friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. She gave me her hiking boots to use because mine were too small! I loved all the attention to detail, the tulips on the table, the gluten free options and breakfast. Katherine was great, very friendly, and Jason made excellent breakfasts. Julianna felt like a friend by the time we left and we will 100% return! We travel a ton and stay in many B&B's and this by far was the best! Julianna goes above and beyond and we felt it!

The coffee selection would be better if you could order a cappucino or a fresh cup vs. the pre-made thermoses. The pillows would be better if they were down.

The Hearthside Inn exceeded our expectations! The house is beautifully decorated and so warm and inviting! Our room waa so cute, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely AMAZING as well as the mid-day treats!! The staff was very friendly and Katherine was so helpful and kind. Location was perfect and super convenient to easily walk to area shops and restaurants. We highly recommend staying at The Hearthside Inn, I wish we could have stayed longer!

This hotel was so welcoming. When we arrived, someone gave us a tour of the hotel. Subsequently, she suggested places to visit or eat, and remained available for our questions. plus there was always freshly prepared food on the table. it was very warm. in addition to the smell of the hotel which was very pleasant. Ultimately, the meals were very good. it was homemade food made with love. they were very respectful of my gluten allergy. If we visit again, this hotel is gonna be our first choice!

Beautiful space, terrific staff, and comfortable. I never sleep well traveling EXCEPT here, the bed was so comfy! Food was good and it’s close to Bar Harbor shopping.

Totally my mistake for not understanding detached bathroom which was down the hall. It was private for just our room so not a huge deal and I don’t get up in the night but my hubby wouldn’t have been pleased if he had been on this trip and my bestie wasn’t thrilled but made do.

Great location (you can walk to all the shops & restaurants), clean comfortable and cozy. Staff were very lovely and the breakfast was off the scale delicious. Easy parking outside terrific WiFi, nice touch of afternoon tea and sweets whenever you fancied them too. We only booked one night, but extended our stay.

They fed us too well we were bursting after the breakfast.

Wonderful staff, excellent location around the block from many restaurants shops, and a charming inn. Great breakfast.

Would recommend changing up the seating in the dining area to account for more parties of two so that more people can have breakfast at the same time. We (and a few other parties of two) had to wait quite a while because two groups of two and one party of one were each taking up the only three tables, which are all set up for four. Also, would strongly recommend blackout curtains. I did not sleep well with the sun streaming in at 4:30am.

The breakfast was great! And the beds were comfortable. We ran into an issue where loud maintenance/contract work was being done right outside of our door, and were nicely accommodated with an upgraded room on another floor. Julianna and Brittney are incredibly friendly and gave wonderful recommendations on everything from food, to hiking trails, to little shops/services in town. We totally recommend!!!

Breakfast was one of our favorite parts of the trip! It was very good, Julianna was very nice, gave us info on things to do, hikes to see, etc. The room was very nice, the bathroom was great, with a spa tub! The bed was comfortable and the heat worked well (necessary in November in Maine)

There could be some more parking I guess? But there's really nothing that we didn't like about this bed and breakfast!
