The decor of the inn was very homey. We stayed at the suite. The room was very clean and cozy. Plenty of space for us to relax and put things. Homemade chocolate chip cookies were a good welcome touch. Made to order breakfast was great and delicious. Shirley and the staff were very nice and helpful.

The staircase to the second floor suite was a bit high and steep. The bed was little small for two people and could be sturdier. The breakfast could have more selection like the pictures on their website.

Shelley, the innkeeper, was really nice, pleasant and accommodating. Rooms are very quaint. Walking distance to a fantastic coffee shop, a really cool store that makes wooden bowls and a bakery. But there is no sidewalk, so be careful. Innkeepers live in the inn.

From my phone conversation prior to my arrival all the way up until check out everything was top notch the staff, the amenities, my breakfast, and all of the little details that were put into the nutmeg!!!! I’ve already told several people, and I definitely will be back. They definitely set the bar pretty high! Hats off to everybody again and thank you respectfully Robert, Sean Cunningham

The atmosphere, clientele and management people were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was delicious and personally served. Felt very much at home. Bathroom was outdated but it is an old home and you need to expect this. Lovely location and time there.

Driveway and access to the property via automobile. Poor lighting in the parking area. Just like living in an older, vintage home.

Beautiful old building, charming, lovely interior design, comfy common seating areas. A la carte breakfast included in room rate and was of high quality and made to order. Very nice staff. Close to the main road, but very quiet. Comfortable large bed. Homemade cookies waited for us in the room when we arrived. A very thoughtful touch :-)

A bit outside of Wilmington, yet only a 2 minute drive. Our room got a bit cold, as we were only there to sleep, we didn't ask for help with the heating to be fair.

I loved my stay at the Nutmeg. This place has a great New England cottage feel to it. The bed and room were quite nice and the breakfast is amazing. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Definitely will be staying here again!

Management was rarely seen. Few opportunities to ask questions and get recommendations about things to do and restaurants in the area.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and creative. Lovely spaces to read and lounge . Lots of board games, books and magazines for the guests.
