Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Huge range of foods to choose from. Made me wish I had more than one stomach. 😂

When I was checking in the guy at reception was insisting that I give him my credit card details in case we used the minibar in the room. When I refused he said I could pay a 500 baht cash deposit instead. I paid that and then he asked if he could swipe my credit card anyway. I refused again and explained that the last time I did that my credit card was maxed out in less than 12 hours. Then he said it was fine if I didn't want to. Very suspicious behaviour indeed.

Good location, close BTS, Sukhumvit easy to navigate. Comfortable beds, good breakfast, many options. Staff very friendly.

Breakfast was very busy and crowded this time I stayed. Especially as it was low season. Personally!.. I found the large amount of Chinese guests at breakfast very loud, obnoxious and rude, and unable to wait in turn to be served. This isn't the hotels fault obviously...

Loved my room - I was on the 28th floor with the best view of the sunrise and sunset across the city. Had the best sleep of my life in the beds and the shower was perfect! Also, the subway is right across the street so it made it getting around the city a lot easier.

I would skip the breakfast - i think there is better in the neighbourhood depending what you're looking for. Tried to go for a walk around the neighbourhood but that was before I realized that Bangkok is not a walkable city and for a single female felt unsafe (not just the neighbourhood where the hotel is but all of Bangkok in general).

The bed, the toiletries, the cleanliness, the view towards the city, the location close to the On Nut station (Skytrain)

The connecting door to the neighbour’s room, that’s a total no-no. We were lucky enough to have neighbours only on the second night, but when they were in the room, we could hear everything they talked/did. I assume it was the same thing for them, they could hear any sound coming from our room.

Good location with BTS just outside the hotel. Large breakfast spread with a lot of choice. Really friendly staff. Great hotel.

Had to change room to pool view at the back due to traffic noise on the front side of the hotel, even in the Skyline room. Had requested quiet room on my booking. Due to single pain windows, the rooms cannot be described as fully sound-proof.

Clean, modern and quiet room. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Staff were helpful and very welcoming. 10/10 breakfast buffet.

Staff was great. The location was very convenient, you could go right into the mall or the BTS without having to even go outside. The gym was really good for a hotel gym. The connected mall had lots of food options and even a movie cinema (although most of the movies were Thai). Everything was very clean and no part of the hotel felt worn down.

The TV wasn’t a smart TV. For international guest watching thai network TV without subtitles or trying to watch movies on your phone isn’t the ideal way to relax in your room. For a hotel as nice as Avani you would think they would upgraded their TVs. A smart TV that would have allowed for me to cast to the TV or directly access netflix, youtube etc would have been a game changer.

We stayed here twice. One at the beginning of our trip to Thailand and a week at the end of our trip. During our first stay the bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows. On our second stay the bed was much harder. That was disappointing. There is a small rooftop pool which was overrun by children during our second stay, with only a few lounge chairs and a foul odor coming from the pool. The hotel is conveniently located next to a sky train stop making it easy to get around. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. There is a mall attached to the hotel with many shops and restaurants. The lobby is very small for a hotel this size making it difficult at times to sit and relax. Overall a comfortable and clean hotel.

The bed was too hard! Too few longe chairs at pool and pool had a foul odor. Furniture in lobby in need of a good cleaning!

The best pillows I’ve ever slept on. I wanted to buy them .. fabulous breakfast selection.

Wasn’t too fond of the floor to ceiling glass window on the bathroom, thankfully it had a blind 😜
