The room we had for a family was superb. Top floor, big, spacious and very very comformtable. The view along the canal and over the rooftops was nice. It is a short and very nice walk to the main central area. You don't want to be staying in there though due to the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was very good quality. Good food, served hot and decent coffee. The staff we met were exceptionally friendly and nice. They helped us with everything and were so welcoming. I hope the owners of this place treat them well as they deserve to be treated well. There are some nice canal side bars up from the canal next to the hotel. Perfect for an evening drink and then a light stroll back. There is a launderette just opposite but we couldn't use it as we left all the dirty clothes in the car. There is a smell of waffles and chocolate sauce round every corner.

The cost suggested for parking was really high. It was a 5 minute walk too. I went with a different option at Interparking. The walk was a little long (15 mins) but there are worse places to walk through. I quite enjoyed it actually.

The hotel is nice, beds very comfortable. Nice small hotel with everything you need for a short stay in Bruges. Excellent location about a 5 minute taxi journey to Bruges train station, and a 10 minute stroll along the scenic canal to the main "Markt" square. Located out of the hustle and bustle of the busier city streets. Quiet and calm neighbourhood making for a nice relaxing stay. Staff were friendly. Luggage storage room available.

To point out something, the shower was within the bathtub and connected to taps on the left hand side of the wall with the pipe running around you to the shower head on the back wall making it a little awkward, otherwise our stay was very good.

Our room overlooked the canal directly so we could observe the Great Crested Grebes courting. Just over the bridge immediately opposite was a great little bistro (Der Schaar) which saved us dashing around looking for a dinner venue when we arrived late afternoon/ early evening but it has limited opening. Breakfast was varied and completely satisfactory for us. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly as were the breakfast room staff. The rooms were spotlessly clean and plenty big enough for the two of us.

I really cannot think of anything that we did not like about the hotel or its environs. One tip when walking in towards the centre is to turn left out of the hotel onto Schaarstraat and walk down it to find the park down there and walk through it rather than following the canal every day. It's a nice diversion and cuts off the corner.

The comfortable room, the friendly very helpful staff, the tasty breakfast available in a mood lifting attractive breakfast room. As we arrived early for our room they stored our luggage for us until room was ready, allowing us to enjoy exploring Bruges until late afternoon on our return. They called a taxi for us when leaving after our stay.

In our particular unit, there was a step down from the bed area to the rest of the unit and we were worried that we would forget it was there and fall. However thankfully that did not eventuate. We felt it needed a painted yellow strip or a night light to show the different level. It is on the edge of the inner area of Bruges, so may be an issue that is not keen on the walk into the centre.

Quiet location, comfortable bed, hotel parking few minutes walk away, friendly staff, huge room, water cooker in the room. Clean.

If you know some other 4* hotels you may be disappointed. If you treat it as 3* you would like it. The reception, a lobby and the only restaurant was a bit combined. The restaurant opens only for breakfast. Breakfast was tasty, but nothing sophisticated. Room furniture looks like from 80s-90s. Still good in shape but a bit tired. Our bathroom very basic, white like in a hospital. A very weak hear dryer, which doesn’t do the job. Noisy neighbor.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is excellent—just a short 5-10 minute walk to the city center, and both the railway and bus stations are easily accessible on foot. The building itself is old but beautifully maintained and modernized, combining historic charm with contemporary comfort. The hotel is very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise—diverse, filling, and delicious. The staff was exceptionally attentive, making sure every guest felt welcome and well cared for. Considering the great service, comfort, and location, the price was very reasonable. My expectations were fully met, and I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient—just a 5-10 minute walk to the city center, and both the railway and bus stations are within walking distance. The building is old but well-maintained and thoughtfully modernized. The hotel is very quiet, making it ideal for a peaceful stay. One of the highlights was the spacious veranda overlooking a lovely courtyard—perfect for relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere Breakfast was varied and satisfying, offering plenty of options to start the day. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, which made my stay even more pleasant. The price was very reasonable for the quality of service provided. Everything met my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The room was excellent. The view was wonderful, overlooking the canal, the trees, flower boxes, and boats. Having the lift was most welcome, especially as I was on the third floor. The ease of walking into the really beautiful old centre was terrific. There wasn’t much traffic noise, which allowed for a good sleep. The gentleman at check-out was lovely. He allowed me to leave my suitcase & backpack in the meeting room while I walked once more around town. I was leaving the station around midday.

The only negative was the attitude of the young woman on duty on my first morning. I went down for breakfast, and asked her for a table for one. She began getting things ready for service. I have always been shown to a table, or have one indicated to me. Eventually she told me to just go in and take a table.

This was such a fabulous find of a hotel! It was brilliantly located only 10 min walk from the centre along the canal so a pretty walk. The location was also quiet and we had a lovely view out of the window over the rooftops and canal. The staff were extremely friendly and welcomed us with a warm smile every time. The room was huge - plenty large enough for a family of four with 2 tall teenagers! We had a family room, so two enormous twin/double beds, sofa, table, chairs desk etc. It was up in the roof so cosy feeling. Bathroom was excellent and all clean. Breakfast was a good spread for the size of hotel and excellent range of food and tasty too! I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone, most especially families. It was excellent value as well.

Absolutely nothing!
