We reached the red roof at 10 pm and the only room that was left was upstairs and my mom is handicapped. So I expressed my concern in that fact plus every place from there past buffalo were booked and he said to me, hold on let me work my magic. He found a room that was dirty downstairs and went over to clean it for us! He made a long day of travel bareable. He was godsend. The room was clean and comfortable!

Clean, comfortable room, good air-conditioning, polite and helpful staff, surrounding green areas with picnic benches, small but excellent bagel/breakfast restaurant at the end of the parking lot.

No hairdryer in room, no mini-fridge, vending machine malfunctioned and the hotel could not provide a refund. Of course, this is not a great issue, as you're probably better off buying drinks from one of the nearby gas stations or shops.

Good facilities, dog friendly, lots of lawn space.

My only problem was that I called ahead to assure I was getting a 1st floor room and that I was in the same room both nights and although the worker on the phone said they would make sure that was accommodated, and that I needed to pay more for the double bed 1st floor room, so I did pay extra, and when I arrived they only gave me a 2nd floor room and separated the room stays. My mom cannot visit or go upstairs easily. Later they said I can stay in the room both nights if I ask at the desk next day but that I had to take the second floor since they were full. So I paid extra for nothing. Basically they said they couldn't help me because I booked through a third party, booking.com. at the desk and during my stay they were very nice though.

Clean room Bed was excellent - best one I had on this trip. Nice and firm. Room was very quiet, especially considering there was a family with young children right next door & I did not hear them at all throughout the night. Several good restaurants were nearby.

Price - but it was one of the better prices for a motel/hotel room in the area.

We had a lovely stay. Exceeded our expectations. Very clean and quiet. Perfect one night stay!

The staff was friendly; but I felt that they could have been more attentive; the girls were talking with each other when we came in. But the lady did come to make sure the new card she gave us worked. (The first time we tried to get in our room, the card didn’t work!)

The room was spacious and clean. There was a frig and microwave to use. Supplies were provided. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom is very small. As an older building, the soundproofing is not the best. Some students in the next room were loud. I could have asked for another room, but I always travel with earplugs, so it was fine.

I booked at the Red Roof Inn because evaluations on Booking.com rated it higher than several competing hotels. I was not disappointed, and management helped with rescheduling my visit.

Reception was slow, due to multiple customers appearing at about the same time with complicated issues. Just the luck of the day.

It was well maintained. They had a picnic table on the lawn where you could smoke away from the rooms. Also had a couple of benches outside the rooms for smokers.

Everything was fine. Location was close to the thruway and downtown Utica.

The room smelled freshly cleaned and everything worked. The bed truly was king size, thank you.

No refrigerator in room. Unfortunately we were traveling a long distance and we had food that could have been put in a fridge overnight. We got ice from the machine for our cooler, so we were able to keep everything cool.

The staff was really pleasant and the facilities were clean and easy to use

The location for a traveler is a bit far from the main bus station other than that everything was perfect
