The room was very comfortable. I slept all night without waking up. I especially appreciated that the refrigerator had a small freezer which accommodated my 2 small ice packs. The window seat with the cushion was a nice touch.

The TV was uncooperative. Did not eat anything at the breakfast. I would've eaten yogurt if it wasn't the "light" variety (artificial sweeteners) or even regular instant oatmeal if there was some honey. The "omelette want-a-bes" were less than appetizing. I didn't go hungry though as I don't usually eat until noon anyway.

As usual Baymont by Wyndham in Gaylord comes through with a great value stay. We stay in Gaylord at least twice a year and have been tempted to try other newer hotels however this has become our old reliable. You cannot beat the price/value for stay. Especially welcome the cheaper rates as a Canadian traveller who also has to contend with the exchange rate. The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast choices are adequate and the area is well kept. The pool is warm and we love that it is shallow as it is perfect for our 7 year old. The location is also great, nearby to all you need to do/see.

Smaller room/bathroom. Older hotel/facilities although they seem to work at maintaining things well. The bottom of pool looked a little dirty this stay but nothing offensive. Could have been from previous users in the same day.

Sarah was fantastic. When I arrived she was friendly and accommodating. She was patient through my questions and handled every one with professionalism. I requested a peaceful space and she made that possible. I loved the window seat in my room and having dove products was a reminder of home.

Beyond control of the staff: One thing I didn't like which was the failed courteousness of my neighbor. From about 9 pm until 1:00 am he continued to let the door slam, I don't know if it was his room door or the one leading to the stairs on the second floor, making it extremely difficult to sleep. Wondering if their is some bumper that can be applied for a gentle close or post quiet hours like 10 pm until 6am. I'm an early riser and had a day long conference ahead of me-that was a bit unnerving. Suggestion: Please put a courtesy plastic laundry bag in the closets for your guests. These are helpful for keeping suitcase clean, sanitary and separate.

We were able to have our dogs with us. When we arrived, we had an upper floor room and no elevator. When the desk lady found out the dogs were dachshunds, she immediately started to look and got us a 1st floor room. She had concerns of us having to carry them upstairs and possible back problems for the dogs. .

I was ex ited to first see the laminated floor as we entered but only in the area in front of the bathroom. Our favorite place we have stayed has a several fully laminated floors. Our dogs are potty trained but we still will put down a potty paper "just incase." With full laminated floors, it's peace of mind for any pet owner and sometimes with small children

We have stayed here before and appreciate the location (nice and close to downtown area). It is reasonably clean and comfortable for the value. Cheap and cheerful stay! The pool area was perfect for our 6 year old with the whole pool being 3.5 ft deep and we LOVED how warm/heated the pool was. There was a small fitness room with treadmill, bike and elliptical which we made use of (wouldn't have expected one to be there). The staff was friendly. Breakfast ok. Again for the price we really couldn't have asked for much more. Also check out the brewery/steak house beside it. It is pretty nice inside, beer was good and the food was decent.

The hotel itself is a bit old but they do a nice job maintaining it for the most part. It is generally pretty clean but I always check the mattresses and I did notice the mattress covers were stained in places. They are covered with a double layer of fitted sheets/sheets which were clean so I didn't fuss about it. They appear to be pet friendly which is nice but unfortunately that came with areas like the carpeted stairwell smelling like a wet dog. There are newer and likely nicer hotels nearby however we are aware and comfortable with the small negatives to trade off for the positives including the location and price for stay... Especially for a quick weekend.

Loved the "reading nook" by the window in the room. Bathroom was spacious and had a night light, so no turning on bright lights at 2am! Bed very comfy, room well appointed.

I had asked for an accessible room, as I have minor mobility and balance issues. There were no grab bars in the bathroom, no tub seat. There is a gap in the insulation around the a/c unit, making for a cold draft in the room. Breakfast was ok, fruit cups should be chilled, no sausages available until we were leaving the hotel!

Was staying overnight because spouse had surgery very early the next morning in this town. Asked if there was a medical stay discount and was told NO, but back in January 2025 when I stayed for medical reasons when husband was in hospital for several days, I was given a medical discount

Everything about the room, facility and staff was great including the breakfast.

The person that parked next to me completely blocked me from getting into my driver's side door, she parked like 1 inch from hitting my mirror. When I asked her if she could make a little room so I could at least get in my door she got attitude and said something in another language and walked away. Not the fault of the facility or staff by all means. Then someone sounded like a herd of elephants running around above our room until 1:47 AM. Again not the fault of facility nor staff. Just wanted to voice my concerns.

We left Mackinaw City for home, but wanted to stop in Gaylord for the night just because. I made the reservation on the road, got confirmed and was in our room 1/2 hour later. Other than stopping last year to see the Elk Park, I had never really seen much of Gaylord. It was a busy little town, with restaurants and parks and shopping and things to do all contained in just a few miles. The hotel was lovely, updated, clean, the staff was friendly & check-in was a breeze. They offered a full breakfast and the price of the room blew me away...$93!! That NEVER happens. Thank you for a lovely visit. We WILL be back next year for a longer stay.
