Lovely warm welcome from the worker on reception. The motel/room perhaps was a little old fashioned but very clean and looked like it had been recently refurbished lots of money, time, and effort to make it the best possible.

There only seems to be 2 motel choices in the area and so we probably paid a little more than we would have preferred, we were travelling on 21 night road trip so cost is important. However the welcome was great, and we felt very safe and the motel was beautifully clean so no complaints.

It's an older place that is being updated. Very clean! The staff was very friendly. It's just a place to stay & relax, no pool, no gym etc. which was just fine for us! :-) The town itself didn't have much to offer, but again, just fine for 2 friends to drive around, chat & catch up. Best of luck to the new owners & staff on this new adventure. I wish you nothing but the best, It's a very completive business to be in.

Everything was just fine, no negative issues with the property. The town didn't offer much in the way for breakfast dinning. When we did eat, no mater what meal, the food was good & portions were very fair! :-)

We thought it would be in the countryside near water, and it was not----we were naive, just going by the name of the place. However, it was good looking, clean, had a fireplace! Gave us a good recommendation for supper and breakfast.

The staff was WONDERFUL. They provided extra bags for collecting cans, extra bathroom and shower supplies, and extra coffee and supplies since many in our guests in our party(18) drink STRONG coffee. The outside amenities were also EXCEPTIONAL. They had padded chairs and benches around the fire pit , there was also a concrete circular pathway around the pit, and utensils to make s'more's. They also provided the wood for the fires. There was a commercial grade charcoal grill and they provided charcoal, lighter fluid, and utensils to use. We will definitely stay here again if in this area. 😊💚😊

The staff was all so helpful and friendly. The rooms were spot less.

The place was great. The new owners are very invested in making improvements and pleasing the guests. Great location to town and attractions. Highly recommend.

I love the location of it; not even a two minute drive to get into downtown Indian River. It was definitely a spacious room. The beds were comfortable and the AC cooled the room down fairly quickly.

While we were sleeping, we were awakened with the person in the next room over taking a shower. The walls could be a little bit more insulated; especially with the beds being right up against the wall of where the shower might be in the next room is what it seemed like.

The woman behind the counter was cheerful and welcoming and our room was very clean and large. We were only there for a night but we would definitely stay there again!

We booked on a busy weekend and this was the last available room around. Our event was in Petoskey and I didn't know what kind of state our room or the motel would be in. We were very impressed and pleased with our choice. The woman at the front desk was more than accommodating, and the room was clean and spacious. Several of our friends staying elsewhere complained about what they ended up with, but we were quite happy. We slept well which was also more than they could say.

When I booked, the only room left was 2 double beds. I was interested in anything at that point. After this weekend, it has come to my attention that I have outgrown a double bed. (Lol) My wife and I slept in separate beds for comfort purposes. That's never happened before, so we had a good laugh.
