Beautiful! Lots for families/kids to do. Rooms were very nice and clean. People/staff were very friendly. This was our 3rd stay and will come again in spring. However need to check elsewhere for summer.
Would be nice to have a restaurant/bar on premises or closer . Then it would be perfect. Also, wish prices could stay same or close to it for summer. We’d stay there more often for sporting events for our grandkids.150-$200 more is a big jump plus tax etc. I do know however, that most places do Raise their prices for summer rates. It’s just deceiving when you read one price online and then have it so much more when you get there.

The staff was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating at all hours of the day. The free breakfast was perfect and so convenient. The bonus lounge/game area was amazing for our large group to hang out together. The pool and hot tub area was clean and so much fun. And the bonus little perks like hot cocoa and popcorn for the kids available all day every day was the cherry on top!!!
The room was SO hot at night. We had to turn the heat off and open the window (in the winter!) to make it comfortable to sleep.

Loved the freebies; popcorn, tea, water, coco, coffee. Pool was clean. The loft with the pole table and family friendly games is amazing! 99% of the staff was AMAZING! So clean! I read a book in the boat house while some of the family took the row boat out. It had chandlers and comfy chairs. The fire pit with the hot coco was so nice early in the morning and late at night. We used their grills for lunch and dinner. So much to do on the property! Highly recommend!
The chef left something to be desired. My son has egg and nut allergies. The hotels we have been to in the past are happy to answer questions and let you read labels to see what is safe. He told us, “if he has allergies then consider everything not safe!” He let us read label on one bread package after we insisted. There were options he could have, you just have to read the labels. We purposefully went at 7am when no one was there yet. When we asked about the biscuits and gravy he mockingly said, “consider it all contaminated!” Then said, “you don’t have to ask about the eggs too. They have egg in it.” My son was near tears from the man’s remarks. It’s hard being different, then have someone act like you aren’t worth their time.

We love everything about Crookred River Lodge! The rooms, staff, great pool and hot tub, location...the breakfast is always delicious with so many options! We especially enjoy the big firepit!! We have met many interesting people sitting around the fire. We try to stay there a couple times a year and have brought many friends wiith us. We always recommend it to anyone heading north. Keep up the good work!

The facilities were beautiful and the property clean. We enjoyed use of the pool, bikes and Kayaks. The staff behind the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the view from the deck was peaceful. The tea and water in the front room was great and the furniture very comfortable.
The bathroom arrangement was very small for two adults. The breakfast was just ok (much like a holiday inn express) and it was the same every morning with not many healthy options.

this location is absolutely stunning and so comforting. went on a quick trip with my partner, and the room exceeded our expectations. very comfortable, and the spa bath that came with our room was just wonderful. the indoor pool and hot tub were also amazing. only a 15 min drive to petoskey, where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. just overall we had an incredible time !!!!!
we did not have any problems or complaints !

Staff was so cheerful and helpful! All of the amenities really made this stay amazing. We loved being able to kayak, fish, and have the nature trail right on site. We didn't end up using the later adult only swim hours but love that you have this. This was one of our favorite hotels ever! Looking forward to visiting again soon, and for a longer stay.
I can't think of anything that I would change! Everything was amazing. Breakfast could be better, but was good all in all. Good variety of options.

The room they had reserved for us had the spa jet tub out of service so they moved us to a different room. The room was great, tub was relaxing, but the shower water was chilly—we let them know. Loved the outdoor gas fire pit and the country feel of the place. Would love to come back in the summer and kayak the river. Very peaceful place, staff very friendly. Breakfast was great!!

Very clean hotel with beautiful main lodge room--loved reading by the fireplace and also sitting outside at the firepit at night. Don't miss a relaxing swing by the river nor the delicious, ample breakfast every morning. There are lots of choices at breakfast, including hot, freshly made items. Also, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and iced tea are freely offered downstairs 24/7, plus there are taps with artesian well water near the side entrances that you can use to refill water bottles. We loved our room and found the beds super comfortable and the balcony a lovely place to relax. They also have a game room/library on the 2nd floor that had a lot of great options, but we didn't have time to enjoy them on this trip. We can't wait for our next stay at the lodge--fingers crossed for next summer!
The room carpet looked like it perhaps needed a good steam cleaning

Staff so helpful, place is clean, has a warmth to the lobby I don't see in most places. Peaceful & quiet...except for the small elephant in the room directly above us. Note to self, ask for 3rd floor next visit! Pool & hot tub felt perfect temperature.
Not happy about the extra 20% that was held with our booking, because it caught us by surprise. I didn't plan for that and had withdrawn cash from my account prior to coming, to use while out. That cut us really close and eliminated me being able to use what I did keep in the account because it locked it up. This needs to be stated upfront when booking and I've looked, see it nowhere.
