Room: The room was compact, which is typical for hotels in this price range in Singapore. It was clean and well-maintained, with basic amenities like a comfortable bed, a small desk, and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom, while small, was functional, with a decent shower and fresh towels provided daily. However, the lack of storage space made it a bit challenging to organize our belongings, especially for a longer stay. Pool: One of the pleasant surprises was the outdoor pool. Though not very large, it was clean and well-kept, offering a refreshing break after a day of sightseeing. The pool area also had some loungers where you could relax, although it did get crowded at times. Location: The hotel's location is both a strength and a potential drawback, depending on your needs. It’s situated in a residential area, so it’s quiet, but it’s also not in the heart of the action. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, which made it easy to get around, and the nearest MRT station is about a 10-15 minute walk away. There are a few local eateries and convenience stores nearby, but for more dining options or shopping, you’ll need to head into the city center. Overall, Value Hotel Thomson is a good choice if you’re looking for an affordable stay in Singapore and don’t mind the trade-offs in room size and location. The pool is a nice bonus, and the staff were friendly and efficient, making for a pleasant experience.

The main downside of my stay was the poor soundproofing of the room. I could clearly hear conversations and noises from the adjacent rooms and hallway, which disrupted my sleep on a few occasions. If you're a light sleeper, this might be a significant issue, so bringing earplugs could be a good idea.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the room though small was perfect for a holiday stay. The sofa bed for a third person was convenient. The room was cleaned well by the staff, and the in-house coin-operated laundry on the second floor was very convenient. Having a restaurant and convenience store on the ground floor was useful. The hotel has a small swimming pool and gym which is a nice option. Zhongshang mall which was a short walk away had good meal options and a good supermarket.

The hotel was convenient for the buses (2 bus stops close by and others further away). At the time there was a lot of road construction going on so getting to some of the other stops required extra walking. Getting to the MRT was not very convenient, needing either catching a bus or doing a long (15-20 min) walk.

What I really appreciated was the cleanliness of the facilities and the convenient location. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable. The hotel’s location also made it easy to get around and access nearby amenities—definitely a strong point.

Unfortunately, I found the attitude of the helpdesk staff to be quite unwelcoming. There was a noticeable lack of warmth or effort to assist, which made the interaction feel transactional rather than hospitable. Additionally, the lady managing the breakfast area (Chinese nationality, as observed) showed poor communication and seemed impatient when approached for help. Her reaction came across as dismissive when i cant understand her, which was disappointing and unexpected from a guest-facing role.

It's a convenient location, near the MRT, bus stops, church, hospital, shopping malls. The neighborhood is peaceful and it's really pretty. The staff are very accommodating and they clean the room and change towels everyday :) This was our very first trip abroad and we're very glad to have discovered Value Hotel Thomson. My daughter said we can come back here when we get the chance to visit Singapore again.

Hopefully, they can provide at least 2pillows per guest (we only got one pillow each) and electrical sockets near the bed. Other than that, all good :)

I love the staffs. They were all nice polite and helpful. Not like you expected when in Singapore especially 3 stars hotel. I also like how it was a quiet stay. Again not something i would have expected because it was a small hallway to the rooms Overall the staffs made my stay not too bad despite some minus in the room

The room was small, and it made it a bit cold at nght because of the big aircod in the room. There was no chair or even a bed side table to put your things on One of the lights kept blinking even when you turned them all off A lot of dust in the room and everywhere. I didnt dare using the cups or even the water kettle as they wete so dusty. The phone in the room was not working, so i did not bother to make any complain..as i was so tired.

The hotel is located where we have easy access to hawkers, convenience stores and bus stops. Just a few minutes away from the mall as well, and the staff were really accommodating. We had to change rooms twice because some of the fixtures were not working properly i.e. bidet and in the next room the AC was emitting something that smelt like cigarettes. The last room where we stayed in until our check out date was really good although on a lower floor. I forgot the name of the receptionist but be was really accommodating and made sure all our concerns were addressed immediately. No other major concerns than the ones mentioned.

Some fixtures were not working properly like the bidet and the AC but the staff were very accommodating and will resolve it immediately.

Room was clean. The bed booked for us was 1 single bed and 1 large double bed. The beds were movable so we family and I were able to combine them for one big bed and sleep beside each other. Rooms were cleaned every day.

The toilet had only one drain so the entire floor would get wet when taking a bath. There were only sanitary bags inside the toilet, no trash bin, so it was a bit difficult to dispose of trash. The walls were also not sound-proof so you could hear the occupants in the nearby room, especially if their noise was too loud.

The location is perfect! The bus stop is just a few steps away. The room is okay. But the room service is exceptional. They do housekeeping everyday in a way that they still respect your privacy. They also change and refill items like toiletries, towels, and tea/coffee.

Nothing really, maybe just needs improvement with making sure the mirror is also clean.

The aircond was not functioning properly, not cold at all, there's a noise throughout the day which left me and my wife unable to sleep at all. It's my mistake to never address the issue with front office staff. It's not a complaint but feedback for fixing it so it's easy for the next person to stay. I'm from fnb too so not here to complain just areas we can improve. . Many thanks

Shout out to the Assistant manager he's thoughtful and front desk personnel i think rose is her name she's nice they helped us in transferring to different rooms and they are very accommodating and all the staff there are great 👍 there's free water refill ,clean bedsings and room cleaning every day
