I liked everything about this super hotel. It has an ideal central location with a secure car park. My room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and everything is beautifully maintained and cared for. Entering the breakfast room brought a smile to my face; crisp white tablecloths, linen napkins, gleaming cutlery and crockery, just delightful! Breakfast was of a very high standard (starting with the delicious french press coffee) and carefully presented. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a fabulous experience.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Chantry Hotel. The breakfasts were very nicely cooked, plentiful and delicious; the staff were very friendly and attentive; and the bed was comfortable. Having private onsite parking was an added bonus, as was the hotel's location, within a few minutes walk of the town centre.

We were in room 1, and as the weather was hot needed the windows open at the front and back of the room, so we did have some traffic noise at night from the front, which is on a one-way system.

We were given a cup of tea on arrival after we had been shown our room. The room itself was comfortable, clean and warm. The hotel is close to the town centre and has parking, which was very convenient. The table service at breakfast was prompt and excellent and the breakfast itself was delicious with plenty of choice. We had keys to the room and the front door so we could get in late when we wanted to. The staff were helpful and on the last day they said it was no problem if we wanted to keep the car in the car park if we wanted to go back into town.

There was a cupboard in the room, which was just inside the door and not used for anything. However it wasn't clean and tidy inside and could do with a bit of a clear out. Having said that, it didn't affect our stay in any way.

All I needed, but not really 4-star in the Tudor annexe. I wondered if the rooms in the main building offered more. I feel most people would say/wonder this. But it was quiet when I was there and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff were very pleasant. I did not use any of the other services on offer.

A few cobwebs on ceiling above the bed. Bottom of the radiator in the bathroom a bit tatty with some rust coming through peeling paint. The shelf above the sink slopes, so it is fairly useless, and the shower wand holder slips. The shower screen needed constant readjusting to ensure you were not flooding the floor. With regard to water on the bathroom floor, I would recommend some form of beading along the bottom of the bath panel to prevent water running under the bath, something you have to take care to avoid.

Lovely hotel - Clean and Comfortabke - had everything needs for a stay - including iron and ironing board! Which is something I always need when travelling for work! Fan, Hairdryer, Tea/Coffee and Water - comfortable bed (even changed the duvet to a summer tog! Very thoughtful) Lounge and Breakfast Room looked lovely too (I didn’t use as departed before breakfast) Would stay again :) Thank you

It’s not a dislike in any way - but I guess the only thing that didn’t work well (fast) was the WiFi

Lovely breakfast but would have liked the option of muesli with fresh fruit and yogurt but it was an either or situation so a bit restrictive. Staff welcoming and helpful. Tea-making facility in room although a decent sized mug would have been preferable to tiny cups. Quiet location and pleasant interior and handy off-street car park. Excellent shower.

Bed mattress was U-shaped, hard and uncomfortable so back ached after 2 nights on that. Curtains didn't block the light so hard to sleep. Quite dusty especially in wardrobe.

Everything about this charming hotel was great. We felt welcome from the second we arrived. The person who checked us in gave us lots of details about the town, where to go what to see, good restaurants etc. The room was lovely with comfortable beds and everything you need. Breakfast was superb with a wide choice and personal table service which is much preferably to the help yourself buffet style breakfast Parking was included at no extra cost

We had showers and my wife had a bath and at the end of the day the water was luke warm. Next morning it was fine.

The hotel itself was lovely. Very old fashioned furniture but it was like that throughout the hotel so it was beautiful. The breakfast choices were exceptional, the cooked, English breakfast was delicious and hot. The location was also excellent, close to the shopping centre and the cathedral and gardens.

The room was a very creaky room, from the floor to the bed! The room itself looked very clean but when we arrived I was looking for a plug next to the bed on the right side, I found a very dirty tissue behind the bedside unit and it was still there when we left even though I mentioned it to a member of staff. Overall though I would definitely recommend.

This is a beautiful and charming hotel. It is clean, comfortable and quiet and it has all the lovely wood floor creaks that an old home should have 😉. It is conveniently located to all the Bury sites, shops and restaurants. Also their Breakfast is amazing!!! Coffee is great and I loved the fresh berries and yogurt. If you are looking for a modern hotel with an elevator, gym and swimming pool, this place is not for you. But if you love charm, amazing staff and a great breakfast every morning then you have the right place !!!

It is quite difficult getting large bags up the spiral stairs but the staff are kind enough to help 😀

The breakfast was fantastic. It was very delicious and so nice to have a full breakfast and not just a continental breakfast. Thank You. The location was perfect for me- walking distance to town and all shops. The room was so quaint. Only thing I wish it would would have was a regular chair in the room and not just a stool under the desk. A chair would have provided support for me. The Hotel was so quaint and charming. I loved it.

Nothing. it was so quaint. Maybe an elevator. But not a compliant - The host took my luggage upstairs to my room. Very Very accommodating.
