George & Jan were most gracious! A hot English breakfast prepared fresh by George each morning (extra £10, worth every penny!) & anything ya need & local recommendations offered by Jan will make your stay full of English hospitality. Our room was spotlessly clean. Like most European rooms, it was small and cozy and had a couple flights of stairs, so pack light! The guest house is older, so it has lots of character with separate hot & cold faucets at the sink and corners that aren’t quite square anymore. Right across from the train station, it’s a very convenient location. If you’d like a live band on Friday and Saturday nights, just open your window to let in the sea breeze & relax to the drumbeat (or cross the road for a pint)!

The water pressure on the third floor shower could be improved.

close to the Dover Priory Station only a 100 yard walk , nice warm welcome from the hosts, wonderful full cooked breakfast , very helpful with the luggage down the stairs , standard room with a small shower ensuite, tea & coffee supplies in the room , only 20 min walk to the centre of town and all restaurants and shops. It was only a 30 min stroll down to the car hire company premises to pick up a rental car. Hosts were extremely helpful with directions and recommendations for hotels in town to have a meal etc and made us feel at home. Conveniently located close to a local hotel as well. Provides free parking if you have a car. I'd be happy to stay there again.

theres 5 flight of stairs to the room but was manageable with small suitcases, its an old house built in the 1860s which gives it its charm , not suitable for travellers that have mobility issues , shower in the ensuite very small but adequate.

The property is located right across the street from the train station, just a short walk to the quaint town and Dover Castle, as well as only 2 miles to the cruise port. Perfect location!! The exterior was adorable and the interior was very clean and well cared for. It’s obvious George, the owner, takes a lot of pride in his home. The icing on the cake was the delicious traditional English breakfast, prepared by George. Jan, a caretaker there, was so sweet and welcoming as well. She made sure we had everything we needed. The two of them really went above and beyond We definitely recommend this beautiful B&B.

We had an overnight stay travelling back from France. A 5 minute drive from the port and we were there. Jan was on hand to assist us and advise with parking. George cooked a fab breakfast the next morning, just the start we needed before setting off for home.

There was nothing we didn't like. We stayed for on night, facilities were ok, the location in the town was spot on and we could have easily found a nearby restaurant if we needed to.

We had a really lovely stay! We weren’t expecting someone to greet us on arrival, so it was a pleasant surprise and made us feel very welcome right from the start. The place was clean, well-kept, and had a warm, homey feel to it — not like a typical hotel. It genuinely felt like we were guests in someone’s home rather than just customers. The bed was comfy, everything was nicely maintained, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing — a real highlight of our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel is located right by the train station so it was easy to transport our luggage. We contacted them ahead of time and George was there to take our bags so we could explore Dover before checking in. He had some excellent tips for navigating the town and told us about the military resources nearby which was a great way to stretch our legs after the train ride. Our room was clean and cozy. Jan was delightful and helped us get a cab to the cruise terminal. We are so glad we decided to go to Dover a day early.

I had some trouble navigating the phone system on my cell to contact the cab, but that's more operator error than anything else.

Wonderful hosts! Travelled from NZ with and 8yo, being able to check in early, I was sooo greatful. (I did reach out and asked before arriving if it was possible to give them time) We did a lot of outings and had plenty of concerned/ care emails checking we were ok and safe, which is beyond caring and I really appreciated. Travelling on your own with a child in a strange world can be overwhelming, but we were made to feel safe. Can’t wait to come back and stay again 😊

Everything was perfect, the location is beautiful, staff were so friendly, lovely room with kettle and biscuits, comfortable bed, quiet in the evening, we stayed over Easter weekend and they had music and fun for the kids. The breakfast was our favorite of our trip and we had dinner there one evening and it was delicious. We cannot wait to come back!

Our hosts, especially George, were very accomodating to us during our whole stay. Went out of his way to receive our backpacks even before check in time so we could spend our long walks comfortably without our heavy backpacks. Location is very convenient, as it's just across the road right outside the train station. Our room were very cozy and comfortable, really good deal for the price. Very clean and tidy too. :) would definitely book again someday when we come back :)

The location was perfect for our cruise. Had we been more knowledgeable about how the trains run through London, we could have taken one to this hotel/flat from London, as the Train station is directly across the street. The owner had given me some Taxi numbers to reserve to take us to the Port but after reserving and paying in advance, it did not show up. (Not the owners' fault by any means) BUT - Bonus for us, we were able to walk across the street and take a bus to the Port for a fraction of the cost of the taxi. It was a private bus - not the city bus. The lady that greeted us at the door was very nice and thorough explaining everything about the place. She told us where and how to get to town (within walking distance) and where to go once we got there. Check out is at 1000 but our cruise transfer/taxi was not until 1130. The owner was willing to let us store our luggage on site until our taxi time. This meant that he would have to come back to let us in to get it because he and the management do not stay on site. You need to schedule your check in time so that they are.

Our room faced the street, and because we were across the street from the Train Station, it was noisy with traffic all night. STAIRS... be prepared to climb stairs to the lobby and rooms. No elevators. It wasn't terrible, but with luggage and bad knees it was a bit tiring.
