Beautiful restored home turned into a hotel. Our room had a balcony overlooking a square where we could sit at night for a drink and watch the city and castle walls begin to glow with lights as the night set in.

We had stunning views from our room and one of the largest balconies in Nafplio. The hotel was charming the owners clearly cared about the culture and maintaining the historical significance of that area The little square was perfect for both viewing and sitting in, and the location was fantastic. Parking was easier than than expected and even without a car you could walk anywhere from our hotel. The staff was amazing and solicitous. We were delighted how quiet it was in the evening unlike other hotels in the area. The laundry service was a real bargain and was a one-day service where everything came back and packable were very reasonable cost. The room was perfect as we were there for a week.

Probably not applicable for most people, but as we were traveling for months, we had a lot of clothes with us and I would have liked to have had more space for clothing specifically drawers.

Outstanding location next to next to the historic church of St Spyridon in old town Nafplio. Exceptional room and service in a historical building with just four rooms. Despite the distinct historical feel of the place, everything is super-well maintained and clean. A LOT of attention to detail went from Akis and his mother, both very kind and helpful. The breakfast was incredible, and overall we felt pampered. Probably the best place we ever stayed.

Incredibly, there is nothing even slightly negative I could say about Aetoma.

The Aetoma is a beautiful restored mansion in the heart of Napflio’s Old Town. Pan and her son Akis are warm, wonderful people who immediately make you feel welcome in their lovely small hotel. We are repeat customers, having stayed there for a few nights fourteen years ago. It is the BEST place to stay in all of Nafplion and highly recommended. Pam’s breakfast is like no other - it is enormous with everything you could ever wish for: eggs made to order, spinach pie, cheese pie, fruit, yogurt, bread basket, cake, coffee, and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was absolutely perfect!! The room was charming and decorated impeccably. Pan has the best taste and an eye for detail. Akis welcomed us warmly and gave us a map and pointed out areas of interest. Nafplion is a great place to visit. So much to see nearby, too. Thank you for your hospitality! We shall return.❤️

Everything was perfect!

We were given a stunning room on top floor of Aetoma - the family home of the lovely woman who served us delicious breakfast each morning. There was a huge private balcony (cool enough to enjoy mornings or evenings), a king-sized bed that was extremely comfortable, and more food at breakfast than we could eat! The location is perfect, a five minute walk to any restaurant or activity. NOTE: In many properties in Greece, your key card placed in slot in your room is what activates all the electricity, so when you leave the room and take key card everything shuts off: air conditioning, phone chargers, etc. The room never quite cools down because temperature in August hovers near 100 degrees. This did NOT happen here…and it was WONDERFUL to come home to cool room and charged devices. A deal breaker! This was a totally pleasant experience and a great value. Thank you!

Not a problem for us but be aware there were quite a few stairs to our little eagle’s nest flat. Thankfully the stairs area was also air conditioned, so it was actually pleasant to walk up.

This was an incredible experience right from the start. We were greeted by Alena. Asked what kind of eggs we would like the following morning and given a map of the area with recommendations on places to eat and things to see. Shown our exquisite room and given more tips on parking. The breakfast was delicious with so many incredible sides. Bread, honey, fruit, yogurt, cake.... the next morning we had to limit our selection to not waste anything for them! As we learned, the owner was serving us breakfast and the son was helping us with our travels. A fabulous experience!

Loved everything!

What can I say, this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, probably the best as a solo guest. Firstly, incredible value for money! And I was a solo traveller, imagine for a couple! An intimate, stylish and comfortable experience. I felt valued from the moment I arrived. Elena greeted me and went through all the things to do and see and places to eat on a map for me. The room was beautiful with a balcony overlooking a local courtyard. The breakfast… amazing! And so generous. A memorable experience. All the staff were equally friendly too. I wish this place years more of success!

Nothing at all!

Everything in Aetoma exceeded our expectations! The historical building, situated in the center of the ancient city of Nafplio, was renovated to offer the best services, without losing its sophisticated venetian atmosphere; every detail was on point, from the decoration to the pressure of water to the air conditioning. Breakfast was superbe. Akis and his elegant mother were the best guests, offering the perfect mix of impeccable hospitality and Greek irony.

Everything! Location, location! Right in the middle of the old town within walking distance to everything. The hotel is luxe inside. The reception area smells nice, has lovely gentle jazz music playing and gorgeous wall paint and intricate architectural features. The room was very spacious with a gorgeous balcony overlooking a picturesque lane. The bed was a large king. The room was spotless. It was beautifully decorated and felt very royal. It was very quiet, with great air con and a large tv. The shower recess was very large. Fresh towels and slippers too. Akis and his mother, Pianayotta are so warm and friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast prepared by Pianayotta and her friend was exceptional. I love the white linen tablecloths and a perfectly set table. This small boutique hotel is exceptional.

We loved the personal touch! Panagiota, the beautiful owner personally served us breakfast! Akis and Elena patiently gave us information about the town. Maria, the helper was cheerful and helpful too.

The stairs were steep and it was hard to take the large and heavy international sized suitcases up, but to be fair, this was very clearly stated by them on your site as well as in the emails from them. But we still managed and LOVED the place!
