The apartment is just a few mins walking distance to Canal city mall and many food choices available. A very convenient location and 1 stop away from Hakata station. Room is spacious for a jap standard. Very satisfied with all the room amenities provided like bedroom slippers and 4 rubbish bins.

If only more towels provided for more than 2 days as complimentary, more clothes hanger, or wall hooks outside the shower room will be perfect! And the sofa bed may need replacement, already tearline can be seen. Washer/dryer machine is not strong enough to dry the clothes in winter, but alternative is to dry the clothes thru the aircon heater on for the night.

Beautifully maintained building with lovely views over the river of Fukuoka right outside Canal city. Full of all amenities needed including complete kitchen and dining set up and microwave. There is a family mart less than 5 minutes walk . So it is very affordable and easy to purchase meals to microwave for dinner . It is within walking distance of everything in Fukuoka. The Grand Hyatt is also a 6 -7 minute walk and has a wonderful covered drive through entrance to enter the Canal City mall in case of inclement weather. The bedding in the apartment is 5 star with wonderful quilts and very nice pillows . Shampoo & conditioners are supplied & body wash. There is also an excellent washing machine & a drying station inside the apartment:) If you have questions about anything, there is alwaysa quick reply on booking.com. Clean fresh towels are also available as needed. The guest of Riverside Inn Hakata are mostly couples or families from S korea , Taipei, Hong Kong or other parts of japan. It is a very safe & peaceful atmosphere even though the apartment is in the middle of bustling Fukuoka. Highly recommended by our family! Ages 20-38-70 😎

Apartment style room overlooking the river, with a Sakura tree across the river. This means the room is larger than typical hotels in Japan or Fukuoka. Located in between Hakata and Tenjin station (used for day trips within Fukuoka and Kumamoto), with walking distance to either station, which also means the main restaurants are located around these stations. Although other hotels are located closer to Hakata or Tenjin Station, decided the extra walk was worth it due to room size and price. Quiet hotel and area. Self check-in and check-out and didn't have an issue. Highly recommend.

Location is nice, next to the river and in easy walking distance to the Hakata station and areas around. Easy parking on a puplic parking just in front of the door (comes for a fee). Washing machine was a big bonus.

Some of the furnature was a bit shaby and is ready for replacement. Kitchen was very small and not well equipped. In the description there was a sofa bed in the living room. However, the sofa could not be converted. The place was small for our family of 6, but would be well suited for agroup of 4. Check-in is fully electronic (not any staff around) which was ok but not straightforward.

Beautiful & clean apartment with all the conveniences of home - excellent location a 5 minute walk from canal city but very peaceful with River views of the canal. This is our third time to stay at Riverside Inn Hakata. Our family loves it :) Family spread is from 20-70 yo. The management is first rate & is always available for questions or help during our stay !

- Not enough hangers

The room was great. Very spacious for a Japanese room. It was a perfect for a family of 3 (2 adults and a teenager). The view of the canal was amazing.

I didn't like the price for parking. From 5 PM to 10AM it was a total of 5100 yen. The lot that is advertised on the listing for 900 yen for over night.

The room was clean and comfortable, and with the fold-out couch comfortably slept my family of four without my children having to share a double bed.

The check-in process and door codes etc were a bit complicated, and there was nobody on site to assist with the check-in process. We did get it figured out, but there was another group who had gone up to their room and couldn't get in.

Parking is not linked with the place but a public parking nearby. You have to understand by yourself how it works. Unmanned hotel, so you have to fill in a form in advance and check in on a tablet when you arrive. Better to have internet then as you have to scan a QR code at the end of check in to get the code to open your room
