This is our second stay at Blind Tiger in Burlington, Vermont. We come up and bike the Causeway, and know that our bikes are safe, because the Blind Tiger has a secure place to store them. We stayed in the Horizon Times room and it was perfect. The windows let in so much light with a view of the sunset and Lake Champlain. The bed is so comfortable. It was so quiet while we were there you didn’t really even know there were other guests, and the B&B was full. The continental breakfast was excellent, with foods from local companies. The sunroom is a quiet sweet, get away, comfortable, with many places to sit. We love the snack cabinet with all its goodies and the refrigerator with refreshments. The surrounding grounds are well kept with a beautiful garden and places to sit. We can’t wait to come back!

There was nothing we didn’t like about the Blind Tiger.

Absolutely loved the Blind Tiger! It’s absolutely charming, and the team has created a truly unique and special experience. It’s probably the best area to stay in Burlington—within walking distance of the center but situated in the more luxurious part of town (downtown isn’t as nice). The breakfast and coffee were excellent, and having snacks and drinks available all day was a lovely touch. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

There was one significant downside. When we checked in, we had to sign a form stating that no parties or noise would be allowed, which we appreciated. But on our last night, a wedding party staying at the hotel returned from their event and made a lot of noise from 2-5 AM. With some of the staff living on-site, it was both surprising and frustrating that no one intervened to address the noise. I hate to be a “Karen,” but it really was loud, and we couldn’t sleep all night.

Blind Tiger Inn is a beautifully renovated old mansion. We loved the room we booked on the main floor with a fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were of excellent quality. There were several comfortable areas in the house to sit and read or enjoy a snack from the supply provided by the inn.

We discovered the bathroom outlet didn't work after 7 p.m. our first night and all the staff had left for the day. We were moved to another room the next day which was comfortable but not nearly as charming as the one we booked. Breakfast was included but I expected better quality and a wider variety than what was offered based on the $350 Canadian we spent per night.

The entrance and hallway at the Inn are very classy with the dark aged wood and the amazing stair case! Our room was perfect with a great view of the gardens, which were all well cared for. The different rooms all had electric characteristics, very fun! The sunroom is amazing, warm and inviting, with an entrance to a patio, that looked out over the gardens! The continental breakfast was amazing! Just enough food with good variety. The presentation was very classy and well done. We loved that there were snacks in the cabinet for us and the variety was great! The chocolate chip cookies and muffin brownies, so yummy! They even have a storage room, where we put our bikes. We came up to use the bike trails and bike the causeway, the staff was very informative on how to get to the causeway and where to find good places to eat. Also the Inn even though it is near UVM an Champlain College, is in a section of town that is very quiet, but yet close enough to walk to downtown Burlington. We will definitely be booking another stay.

There is really nothing we didn’t like about the Blind Tiger. Burlington is a busy town, and we were there in September. The hardest part was leaving the entrance of the Blind Tiger, with all the cars parked on the side of the street, it was very hard to see around them. Even with that we managed.

The place is beautiful, great location, very comfortable bed, lovely amenities and lovely sitting rooms and gardens. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a lovely stay

I would have appreciated some more classic options (bacon, eggs, potatoes) at breakfast. The breakfast was very good, and I appreciated the gluten free bread. The price was also a little high for me. I splurged for one night, If the price came to 250 instead of 300 I would come back more times.

We loved the "Gold Glitter" room despite the musty smell, which they were trying to abate with air fresheners and odor absorbers - we just imagined we were staying in an old Vermont Inn. LOL. A/C was adequate considering we were in a heat wave but really only in the bedroom. Dehumidifiers were not emptied on a regular basis. Loved the size of the suite, the huge bathroom, the private entrance and parking, quality of bed and linens and the eclectic decor. Grateful to have a refrigerator. Only thing missing in the room was a safe. Gorgeous conservatory and living rooms made for comfortable, quiet areas to grab a book, play games, or talk. Complimentary breakfast items were great and the bar snacks were much appreciated, as was the celebration gift arranged for our arrival.

I think it is unfortunate to only have one staff member there for breakfast. One day there was no hot or cold water at the bar. One day we head dead flower arrangements on our table. Two days there were no eggs. One day the bussing tray was overflowing and no place to put dirty dishes. This attention to detail is essential for the brand they are trying to portray and the price they are charging. Note - upon check-out we rang the bell twice as instructed and left after waiting a considerable amount of time without seeing anyone.

Beautiful, quirky property about a 15 min walk from downtown area. Spacious rooms, nice bathroom, eclectic common areas.

Breakfast was sub par for the rate charged. More like what you'd find at a budget chain, and considering all of the positive press and amount per night charged this could have been easily remedied. Also, no specific special touches for guests such as a happy hour or afternoon tea, as I have experienced in many others and bed-and-breakfast establishments lately. This is a cool place to stay, but I was expecting more of a wow factor...

The property is located just far away enough from the city to be relaxing but also close enough to walk (although it’s all hills). The staff was always pleasant, albeit a little elusive. The property itself is beautiful. If you plan on staying here then you’ll appreciate the charm of an old building. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Worth noting, even though it didn’t really matter to me: no tv or fridge in the room. The room was pretty much just a bed and bathroom. The breakfast was ok - it was mainly just bagels, yogurt, and 1 or 2 fruits.

A lovely B&B with wonderful main areas. Our room was very quant. No TV, but that's OK. Comfy bed. Gardens outside the back were beautiful. The staff were all wonderful. Very clean and quite. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit, but no meats. Walking distance to the hot spots

The stairs were a bit difficult, but you expect that on a B&B. Suggest a lower floor for seniors. Only complaint is that it may have been a tad too expensive - but probably in line with Burlington

This place exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are furnished really thoughtfully. The service and staff were wonderful. The location is perfect. We stayed in the horizon times room which felt very private and quiet. Great stay. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Burlington.

Nothing, it was all great.
