The staff was excellent, the breakfast was lovely and we had an evening meal on one night which was great. We had a drink in the bar when we got back a few times before bed. It is in a brilliant position easy to find from the motorway. It is down the road from, Haydock races. Within easy reach of Liverpool, Manchester, Salford, Pennington Flash, Newton-le-Willows.

We were out the back where we could hear people coming in and messing with bins quite early. It did not smell or anything, plus I am quite a light sleeper. On the third day, there was no plastic bags in the bins, my shower cap was thrown and we were not given any toilet roll, though I mention this, the staff got me a toilet roll when I asked. Even though all of these seem picky, it would not put me off staying again as the staff are always nice. The Bay Horse is a lovely place.

A nice hotel. Room a good size, comfortable and nicely decorated. Good breakfast with both continental and cooked options. Located close to bus stop, which was handy for getting into town. Also felt very safe and secure with keycard access for multiple doors plus a latch and a peep hole cover. Staff very friendly and made sure I knew I could always reach someone if any issues.

Was running low on hand soap. Was able to make it last (just about), but would've been good to have had this topped up beforehand. Also, perhaps putting timings of meals etc. in the room - I could not find these, so went online for a reminder.

The room was lovely, giant bed and large room. No airconditioning but it did have a fan. Easy parking outside. Connected to the pub for drinks and dinner, lots of locals and sports playing on the tv. Affordable meals. Great atmosphere. It felt good to know that if you needed assistance there was a number you could call. Easy check out, simply drop the key in the box.

Air conditioning, but it was an unseasonable heatwave so understandable!

Comfortable and clean room and bed with clean and easily operable shower etc. Very good breakfast and catering facilities with helpful staff. A good location just off the motorway with nice surrounds. Great for a short stay.

Not much at all to say here as there were no real shortcomings considering the type of hotel that I chose. Despite being attached to a pub, I was not at all disturbed in the evening.

Excellent friendly very helpful staff always happy to be of assistance. Lovely pub with plenty of spaces to sit and eat and drink. Large selection of food and drink available. Room was neat clean and tidy and ideal for 3 adults for one nite . Lovely hot shower in the morning. A selection of hot and cold options available for breakfast. Would definitely stay again. They were even nice enough to put the premier league game on one of the TV's for me very much appreciated. Would definitely stay again. Would make an ideal location for attending Haydock races just 5 mins walk away.

All good no complaints suited our requirements perfectly.

The boiler was broke so unable to get a shower before going to a party which wasn’t ideal. However the staff were very apologetic and it was fixed the next morning. Also the car park could have had some salt put down so it wasn’t so dangerous to walk on. I understand these two issues are out of the control of the accommodation, and they did there best

It's a nicely located hotel with all the facilities you would expect from a hotel of this price. The room I got was very spacious. Everything was clean enough, with the exception of the cups that were with the tea/coffee set. Water pressure and temperature were good, drawing a bath was very fast. Parking is good as well, the trees forming a nice cover to stop your windscreen from freezing over. The Pub/Restaurant is quite good as well, offering a nice assortment of food and drink. Breakfast was also served in the pub, and had a good selection (just ask if something is missing).

The room was very cold as it was freezing outside. There is a undersized radiator in the room that you can set yourself, but it was not really enough. This will only be an issue in the winter. Maybe I did something wrong, but after day one the beds were no longer made. I hated the pillows. They are too thick and hard. Made me very uncomfortable when sleeping.

Comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was quiet in my room and I had a parking spot just outside the window, which gave me peace of mind about the car too.

Had an accessible room, which was ok. However. I think that the hotel would do well to have a couple of rooms that had wet rooms rather than a low bath with grab rails. The issue with the bath is that where you need to get into the bath or exit it, the bottom of the bath is slippy and the rails are not situated in a way to make it easy for a person with mobility issues.... I almost slipped and I much prefer a walk in shower, as I had requested.

The room was lovely and comfortable , we were able to access the pub for an evening meal and the breakfast was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Although the booking was for 1 double room, 2 adults, we only had 1 cup for tea and 1 towel. We had to ask staff for the extra things which was given no problem. This did not impact on the comfort of our stay

The room was large, clean, and tidy. Unfortunately, there was only 1 cup, glass, and set of towels for 2 people, but this was rectified very quickly by the great staff. The location for Haydock Park is superb alongside having a large free carpark. We would stay again but eat elsewhere.

The food. It was poor quality and overcooked.
