The breakfast choices were wide and variable. Excellent choices. The coffee was excellent. The breakfast setup was indeed available at 6:00 a.m. as indicated. It was always clean with plenty of supplies. There were two lovely and welcoming ladies. There names begin with L. and P. They TRULY made my stay enjoyable. Thank You Ladies!!! Overall, the desk staff were wonderful. They would offer greetings for the day, and as you returned in the evening. All staff would smile and greet you as they passed in the hall.

. The ONLY unfortunate experience was a gentleman whose name begins with the letter A. (I won't mention his full name, because employment is hard to come by these days). When I decided to stay an extra day, his demeanor towards me was cold, and definitely not cordial. In fact, it caused me to wonder if his demeanor was because I was an A.A. woman. Who knows? Only this gentleman can answer that question.

It was close to our purpose of visiting, The Polar Express train ride on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. There are MANY choices of places to eat surrounding the property. We had a large group and were able to get 2 rooms right next to each other which was fantastic!! The pool was great for the kids. The water wasn’t quite as warm as I would have expected however the kids had a blast. The complimentary breakfast was great. From waffles and pancakes to cold cereal it was exactly what was needed for the trip home! All of the staff we interacted with were kind and helpful.

The staff was professional, friendly, and skilled. The room was large and well appointed. Breakfast was standard, but a decent variety. The location was close to many conveniences.

The elevator broke, and we were stuck on the third floor with all of our luggage. We had two members of our party with mobility issues. It was a difficult trek down the stairs. The staff did carry out things, which made a HUGE difference. Also, the toiletries were bad quality and undersized. The shower lacked water pressure.

The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable. The staff personnel were nice.

The lower glass panel on the sliding glass door at the main entrance to the hotel had a very large crack in it which gave the appearance of a hotel that was not very well maintained. Please repair/replace the glass. Some of the staff were outside in front of the hotel by the main entrance smoking cigarettes at various times during my stay. This gave the appearance of a low class cheap hotel. There should be a designated smoking area for the staff personnel, but not out in front of the hotel.

Everything was wonderful the front desk was wonderful to work with for everything Fred Lee is doing a phenomenal job. Will recommend to anyone and revisit alot more often! Not to mention the breakfast was wonderful and the service of the one woman army running it all morning and her kindness to our children and patience with all of us is very much a phenomenal way to start your day! Again thank you we have not one complaint!

My stay at the Comfort Inn in LaVale Maryland was one of the best of very very many this time around thank you Fred for everything that you and your staff did to make it so very nice and comfortable we will see you again in August and again three times a year like always Christmas Easter and Memorial Day

To anybody that ever gets a chance to stay with Fred and his wonderful staff do it you will not regret it wonderful place to stay clean and wonderful people to stay with

Friendly staff, comfortable room, everything nice and clean. The bed was nice and the pillows were great (I bought one). Breakfast was nice, plenty of options. A note for pet owners: there is a $40 pet fee and you can't leave the pet in the room if you leave the hotel. This time this wasn't a problem for me but often it would be as I frequently travel for work or to visit family who can't accommodate my dog.

No complaints. Just that it would help to know when booking about the pet fee and the rules regarding leaving the pet unattended. That is important information and can be a deal breaker for me depending on my needs on that particular stay. That's really more of a suggestion for booking.com, although the info would be helpful if easy to find on the hotel website.

I was in the room packing when housekeeping opened the door to clean it. We had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and I didn't hear a knock before. Maybe I missed hearing it, not sure.

The room was huge, and exceptionally clean. The location was perfect with several fast food restaurants, and sit down restaurants as well.

The only thing I didn't like was the new heat system. The thermostat is now on the wall...so no constant fan option...so you may want to bring a noise maker because it's very quiet.
