Beautiful setting. Motel style rooms with great parking. Staff was very nice. Grounds were beautiful. Nice fireplace in the evening, coffee available 24/7 at the refreshment centre. Bed was comfortable and linens fresh. Location could not have been better.

Rooms were small but a good size. Layout was not as good as it could have been. No hangers for jackets, for example. Unplugged the air conditioner so we could plug in our power bank. Furniture was antique which was really nice but less practical. None of these things are reasons not to stay, just to give a heads up.

It was a quaint little area with multiple other inns around. I liked the old school vibe of using an actual key to get into my room. Unlike a lot of people, I like outdated inns and hotels as long as the equipment isn’t broken and it’s clean. I liked the art on the walls from the 1980s. The bathroom was small, but nice. I liked the wooden walls and comfy carpet. I liked going to the communal lounge and getting a cup of coffee and cookie for me and a cider for my gf. We looked through the books, games, and movies in the media room right next to the coffee lounge as well. We also took time reading all the reviews of restaurants they had in the area as well. The fire pit and fairy lights on the trees was also nice. I very much enjoyed my time.

The bed was a bit too soft, it was hard to get in and out of especially when you’re closer to the wall. There was also a stain on the wall that looked like someone had splashed coffee.

This was a great place to stop for an overnight stay in Blowing Rock. We were driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and this proved to be a great choice as Blowing Rock is such a charming town, and this Inn is perfectly located within it. Parking was directly outside our room. Breakfast is not supplied, but that is not a problem, as breakfast choices were available in town just a few steps away. The room itself has character and, whilst not being new, was perfectly comfortable for one night. We liked staying here as it gave us a good feeling of an American roadside lodge.

We stayed in one of the little cabins on the property and I loved it. Cabin was cute and very clean. It had cute front and back porch. We LOVED having an indoor fireplace, it was great to cozy around it with wine. Bathroom and kitchen were well stocked and clean. We enjoyed getting coffee in reception 24 hour coffee room. Walkable to everything downtown. I stay in Blowing Rock about once a month, this was my first stay at Mountainaire and I would definitely stay again.

upper beds were listed as queen but they look like fulls.. but no big deal. They were comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and full.

Excellent location. Restaurants and shops were within walking distance of hotel.

Nobody ever answered the phone at the reception desk. Although breakfast was not available, the coffee pot at the office was only filled once in the morning. The AC functioned erratically and was very noisy.

Location ! It’s a short walk to downtown and places to eat

Only two minor things were the pillows (bed was comfortable) and I wish there was a better heat source. I didn’t feel cold but I like the room to be warm. The little unit used for heat only had settings of one two or three versus the thermostat.

It is very quaint and cozy. Friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom.

I wish the amenities were available until a later time. I understand they close at 6pm but maybe a guest could have a card or key that opens that one section for the guests. We went out for dinner and got back around 8-9pm and it would have been nice to get a hot chocolate and sit by the fire.

We have never stayed close to downtown Blowing Rock. It was great! Our room was soooooo clean and beds very comfortable. We had a short stay but it was very nice. The young lady, at the front desk, was just wonderful! :)

We were the first room nearest the road so there was a little traffic noise but once you were ready for bed (past 10pm), the noise was not a bother at all.

Location was great. Shower had great water pressure . Bathroom was clean. Quiet. Bed slept good. Enough towels.

A mini fridge would be very helpful. The carpets seemed like they might could be replaced. A fan in the bathroom is highly recommended.

Quaint hotel within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock. They have coffee and tea in the receiving area and they light a fire outside every night.

The rooms are very small and so is the parking area. Also, they moved the reception area to their sister hotel next door, which is slightly confusing.
