The Ferryport is situated right above Rosslare port...it is soo easily accessible ,either by car or bus....Sue was there to greet me .,even though I was a bit late after disembarking the Salamanca ,Bilbao to Rosslare....she couldn't have been more helpful , was bright ,friendly and very hospitable...the ferry port hotel has undergone huge refurb, and is a real delight , with all new decor and a very comfortable bed and walk in shower....I would highly recommend the Ferryport for either an early ,or late sailing from Rosslare euro port.........and exceptional value also....

There was absolutely nothing to dislike...

This beautifully decorated guest house is more like a hotel than a B&B. From the second you walk in the door, the warm welcome is waiting (thank you Sue) and the added little bits like complimentary hot drinks in the dining room and complimentary bottles of fresh cold water, really added to the experience. The beds are extremely comfy and the whole room is absolutely spotless clean.

The only negative point I could make is in relation to the pricing of the breakfast items. A cold buffet of juice, fruit, yoghurt and cereals is available at a very reasonable price of €8 per person. A full cooked breakfast is available for €15 per person, which again isn’t bad. Then there are other cooked items available, such as scrambled or poached eggs on toast, or beans on toast. We were a family of three, two adults and one child, who opted for 2 eggs on toast and 1 beans on toast. I was a bit shocked to be charged €45 for these items. I do understand that a full cooked breakfast is €15, but €15 for eggs or beans on toast is a bit steep. I didn’t complain at the time, but I definitely wouldn’t opt for these items if I were to return to this guest house.

From a warm reception to departure all was exceptionally good. The spacious comfortable room was matched by the relaxed lounge, which offered free coffee, tea and biscuits, as well as bottled water from the fridge. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and was probably the best hotel bed I have slept in for many years. (I would like to know the make and model of mattress and hope to find out from the owners/ management). This was a perfect stop off for the boat. I was with my family which included a 3 year old. All were very pleased and intend to use it again for our next visit on this route. Brilliant.

Nothing.

Lots of parking. Friendly receptionist. Room was clean & modern and well sized for me, my husband and baby. Online communication from the B&B was great when I needed to ask questions. Tea & coffee in the room was great for a nice hot drink before our early start. Very convenient for the ferry at Rosslare. Also a supermarket over the road which is good if you need it.

No food facilities at the B&B and we couldn’t eat in the room. However, we were allowed to eat our take away in the communal area but this meant our baby stayed up later so we could eat. Also no high chairs which would have been helpful. Fridge in the room or use of a fridge would have been nice so we could keep water cold for us and milk cold for our baby.

We stayed here last Thursday 22nd of May Myself,My Wife & 2 Kids as we had to get an early boat the following morning. When we arrived we got a very happy greeting from Sue at Reception who was very chatty and welcoming to us. After getting us checked in she explained everything about the facilities they had to offer. No food or tea & coffee in the room but they have a cosy seating area with free Tea & Coffee making machines for us to help ourselves too which is a much better idea as could sit comfortably and chat. Really fantastic place & we will definitely return for a few nights to enjoy the surrounding beaches.

Perfect location for the ferry port. Very clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Self-service tea and coffee provided in bar. Easy parking on forecourt.

Our room was on the 3rd floor, so lots of stairs. There was no tea or coffee in the room so had to sit in the seating area for a cup of tea and biscuits. No food or drink allowed in the bedrooms, so no good if want to have a cup of tea before getting dressed. Noise was an issue; there were guests talking loudly outside and then in their rooms until at least 12.30am. We could hear everything in the next room, including snoring all night long. It was as if the walls were paper thin. We needed the window open as the room was hot, but the traffic was noisy. Not a good night at all, got about one hour's sleep and woke feeling terrible, not a good end to our lovely holiday.

Fantastic B&B very near to Rosslare Ferry Port. The room had just been refurbished and decorated tastefully and was very comfortable, the bathroom was very modern and to a very high standard. The restaurant was closed but we were able to bring our own food into the lounge and had access to the free tea and coffee. The breakfast was an extra cost and had to be pre booked the night before, but it was reasonably priced and very tasty. The best thing about this B&B were the staff, they went out of their way to make our staff comfortable and gave a great Irish welcome to all their guests.

It would be nice to see the restaurant open as it looked lovely, there are not many options for an evening meal in Rosslare and after travelling it would be nice to just check in and have the option of food and a drink, plus it would give this fantastic B&B a boutique hotel vibe. However, the next door hotel did offer food and there was a great fish and chip shop 3mins walk away.

From the moment we arrived the lady on reception could not have done more for us, we had a young baby and she made everything so easy. Despite what I have read before there is tea/coffee in the room. There is also a coffee machine in the common area with premium coffees and hot chocolate (including marshmallows) which is all free of charge, there are bottles of cold water in the fridge also & a range of biscuits. This place is more like a hotel than a b&b and is perfectly located for a stop off before sailing in the ferry.

After a terrible “start” leaving the US, flights delayed/cancelled, obstacles to renting a car, Ferryport house was relaxing, friendly and super helpful . Staff went out of their way to help us piece together the major changes needed to continue our long awaited visit to Ireland. The staff was kind and happy, the breakfast was delicious, even the night clerk helped us get to our next lodging when we missed our bus by standing on the wrong side of the road (remember Ireland drives on the left).

Our room was on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Even so, the staff helped us carry our baggage up the stairs (we’re elderly) and back down again when we were leaving.

Lovely, warm welcome. Restaurant on site. Supermarket and a few pubs which serve food within ten minutes' walk. I took bus from Waterford via Wexford and the bus stopped right outside the hotel (and quite a way before the the ferry port which saved a walk for me as I thought I would have to walk back from port). The beach at Rosslare port is actually very nice & sandy and some nice walks and about 15 minute's walk from hotel, which is also an easy walk from the train station (Rosslare Europort not Rosslare Strand). I didn't have breakfast as I was on early ferry. Very big ground floor room which nice view of garden.

Not the hotel's issue, but the supermarket seemed to close quite early & not many other outlets. Otherwise a great place to stay for a foot passenger on ferry. A bit pricey but convenient for my needs
