I stayed in this place long time ago when it was the sands, I told myself I would never stay here again, but like life we gave it a second changes with the new makeup of the hotel know as the J resort. The best part of this resort is the parking garage, I can go direct from my room and catch the elevator to the garage, don't have to walk the lobby like other hotel. Hanna's restaurant food was good, just need more training with the waitress to concentrate on the customer.

We stayed in the family suite room 1578, the bathroom fan did not work, also the double door to access the living room, should be only one door whit both side could open not lock, got lock out when one door closed behind me, the security did a great job to open the door.

Location was perfect as we had a surgery scheduled for the next day that was only two blocks away. Room was very large and newly remodeled with microwave and full size refrigerator. Hanna's Cafe on the premises had good food and super friendly staff. Good value compared to other stays in Reno.

Hot water took 15 minutes to reach the shower Although the casino was deserted it still reeked of stale tobacco

Location to downtown and price for rooms cannot be beat.

There is not a card/ table dealer at all times.

I loved my stay at J Resort. Lots of positives all along -location. Very close to the river and nice walking area and restaurants -staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Especially the maintenance, valet and housekeeping staff -Hannah’s Table restaurant was great and food was delicious -complimentary hotel shuttle -rooms: comfortable, spacious, clean (I stayed at Birch Tower) Great value. I will definitely recommend. I stayed here for 8 nights and it felt like home for a bit. Pool area is very nice and quiet too. Thank you

I have used this property before. J Resort is fantastic. Not only have they been so accommodating and changing accommodations for me when I arrived on my last visit but this visit my flight was delayed by three hours and I didn’t make my connection not a problem with them they were so fantastic. They said they understood and told me that I could get a they would authorize a full refund. Can you imagine that never happens anymore? I am so thrilled. I will continue to use J resort as my go to hotel.

The renovations are beautiful, I couldn't believe it was the same place as The Sands. Having a non-smoking section, every little bit helps. Enjoyed the bar area, bartender was great. The rooms were very, very nice.

While it is now a beautiful, premium resort, I do miss the coziness and quaintness of The Sands and Mel's Diner. I know there can't be both, just wanted to share that The Sands was appreciated too. Premium resort means premium drink prices. This has nothing to do with my stay, but the little bars under these comment boxes are quite annoying. If I write my opinions, but keep getting told "You're almost there, keep going", it makes me think that I'm an unpaid employee..

Very clean, nice rooms and close to all activities

The restaurant at the hotel, Hannah‘s table, we didn’t have the best experience. The first night we went there for dinner wanted to order one of the appetizers, which I was told they were out of then I ordered a meal and said they didn’t have any bacon, I know bacon is minor again two items when you order and they didn’t have it. When we went the next morning for breakfast, it was the same experience.

Location, location, location. Had soup from Hanna's Table. Yummy and reasonably priced. Everything was clean and new. Stayed in the Aspen Tower. Easy to park and checkin. Friendly staff. Room well appointed. Stayed because I had a 6am checkin for surgery @ ROC Surgery Center just 2 minutes away. My sister could hang in the room @ J Resort and pick me up when called. Easy peasy.

Very limited covered parking in the parking garage. I know they are working on it...Out in the open parking far from rooms.

Very comfortable room and amenities are up to date. Excellent location away from main drag (Virginia St) but close to everything. We were on the 15th floor but the elevators are pretty fast. We like the easy access parking that is self serve.

Unusual shower access. Open the shower door and the shower control is way on the other side. No Wifi access as far as I know.

The staff were awesome, very clean and nice location

Hanna’s table was not very good. The waitress forgot one meal, she stood around and the place wasn’t busy. It took her a long time to come to our table to check on things. The food was not that good. The gentleman that brought our order was great, very apologetic and brought our dish out quick.
