We had a week at Fatumaru lodge, it was perfect for a first trip to Vanuatu. Staff were all lovely Close to airport Waterfront - free kayaks and paddle boards we used everyday. A good kitchenette to self cater but also a really decent breakfast available at a cost. Enough dining out options also within walking distance, supermarkets also within walking distance. Easy to catch a bus from right out front.

Didn't catch any fish off the jetty despite seeing plenty in the water.

Really beautiful setting, great rooms, everything inside the room was very tidy and kept to a high standard. Staff were all super friendly.

Two things limited this place for me 1) not having a restaurant meant I spent most of my time looking for food. That was a lovely reason to explore but the main reason I wouldn't stay again. 2) the bottom left room has no railing on the balcony, and folks were often hanging out right there which opens directly onto the bedroom. One night there were folks sitting right outside talking until about 10pm, another night a couple of guys just helped themselves to the chairs on the balcony. Never caused a huge problem but it meant if I was resting during the day I had to stay most of the time with doors and windows shut. Just felt a bit invasive. I don't think this would be any issue with any other rooms, just not bottom left!

the doors open all the way and the view and privacy was exellent. right on the ocean went for a swim they also have free canoe and stand up paddle board for guest. they also do breakfast for guest or you can take advantage of the 2 burner stove top and microwave and they also had filtered water for guest to fill up water jugs saved me buying bottled water

the walk up and down the hill to the main road but i accepted that for the fitness and being on the ocean you get alot of mosquitos but the beds do have mosquito nets and i also took mosquito repelent.

Beautiful location close enough to port villa yet out of the hustle and bustle. Peaceful, beautiful room, very comfortable bed and outlook with lovely garden or water view. The balcony and doors opening wide to take in the view was great plus the aircon and fan was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. I had a wonderful stay and the kitchenette was perfect to make my own food or a cup of tea. The pool was a great addition. I would highly recommend this property for solo travellers, couples or a family stay.

We liked the location, waterfront, facilities like swimming, paddle boating, etc. Staff was really kind and courteous. Best thing about the lodge is they kept our excess baggage with them for 5 days when we were travelling on other island even when we were not staying with them after return. So sweet of them. Also helped us with all the tours and taxi bookings when required and help us in deciding what to visit. Definitely will recommend the location.

The kitchen was outside and open in the villa which was ok but there was a problem of house lizards in the outside kitchen. We had to be vigilant always and had to keep looking at the roof while cooking.

it was a fantastic location. Short walk to the centre of town and even closer to the restaurants. The kitchen was great, we made our lunches daily, and even a few dinners after long tour days. Supermarkets and fruit markets are close by, and the bus stops are a minutes walk.

The staff are incredible. Extremely helpful, they assisted with booking all of our local tours m, transport and even gave us complimentary late checkout to accommodate our schedule. I couldn’t fault the staff. 5 star

I liked staying in a smaller lodge / hotel as it was nice and quiet and we hardly heard or saw the other guests. Loved that it was a short walk to the main town center and on the main road so always 'buses' offering lifts too.

Nothing really, it's great but bear in mind that due to it being a smaller accomodation it did not have a restaurant and would not fit one on site. We knew this prior to booking and it was mostly fine but it is nice to be able to grab something to eat / drink where you stay. They do offer a continental breakfast by the pool

The rooms are very spacious and very clean. We could tell that they put attention to details. The bed is so comfortable. The view from the room especially of the water and sunset is unbeatable. The staff were vey helpful and friendly. We went there for my birthday and they even left us a little present which was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was set out beautifully, with a handwritten note welcoming us on our honeymoon! The facilities are amazing, quite modern, very clean and our room had a great little balcony overlooking the ocean. We were only staying one night as our flight for Santo left the next morning but we wished we could've spent more time at Fatumaru Lodge! The location is excellent, great food options only a 5-10 minute walk away and a short drive from the airport. Our transfers were arranged for us and the process was seamless. The staff were very helpful and kind. We will %100 be back!!

It was very clean, room was perfect. close enough to the main centre you could walk. Loved how we could just open the door and here was the ocean. Felt very safe.

Some of the Watersport items like the paddle boards and canoes could do with replacing and a clean. Although breakfast was very nice it was a bit slow in preparation due to limited equipment. Rooms need a safe so as guests can leave valuables.
