Great location and ambience. Probably one of the best breakfasts I have ever seen in a hotel. If you have ever stayed at a hotel for a full week, you'll know you ultimately get tired of the options. Didn't happen here - never got to try everything that caught my eye. Excellent quality, great choice. The bread was amazing. So was fish, and a lot of what I thought were vegan choices (perhaps labeling wasn't that clear). The room and bed were very comfortable. The staff was awesome. Every morning, before breakfast, as I would come back from my short walk/fresh air, the concierge/receptionist would offer me a fresh, delicious coffee. Learned that he was Greek. :) When they said "if you hang your towels, we won't change them", they meant it! I have seen so many places that ignore their own policy, so this was a pleasant change. At the same time, the one day I hung out 'don't disturb' sign, the lady stopped by to make sure I had everything I needed. Can't comment on the gym, since it opens at 0600, which was too late for me, but probably ok for most. They also have some very cute bikes for rent. It was a bit cold, if sunny during my stay, and I had forgotten to bring my gloves. But will certainly use the opportunity when I come back in summer!

Don't expect personal catering everwhere, but if I could have my perfect hotel, the gym would be open from 0500 (or even 24/7), and there would be a sauna.

Well located in a fairly quiet area, but close to many places to serve meals, bars and cafes, the hotel welcomes you with a special architecture, a beautifully decorated interior and extremely kind staff. Rooms a bit small, but still comfortable. Although on the weekend my schedule did not allow us to serve breakfast at the hotel, the staff was very kind and offered us breakfast to-go. During the week, breakfast is served in a beautiful lounge, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty choices.

The operation of the air conditioning/heating system and temperature regulation was apparently difficult

Classic 125 year-old hotel right on the harbor and right within walking distance of the pedestrian only streets, shops, and many many restaurants. Great location! Rooms were spacious and very nice. Bed was plush, bath towels were large and nice. Paid for room of the harbor, and the view was nice as well. Rachel at the front desk is outstanding! Very pleasant and professional, and then later in the evening was able to personally come up and get our TV working. Outstanding! Great breakfast in a beautiful room. Excellent stay!

Outstanding and friendly Staff at the reception at every day of our 5 day sojourn. Houskeeping man was also nice with offering us a heater to room, where was too cold for us. Clean room and all the hotel. The style and interior were realy cosy. That-s the Best example of lobby and receptiob shop which can be with warm nice atmospheare that you every time want to be there. We received an upgrade to our room because of longer stay that was really nice!!!Also the hairdryer with equipment for curly hair, woooow!!! It was first time I saw it even that I'm working in a hotel also and spending in a hotels a lot of time. So chapeau bas for it!!!

The temperaturę in the room at the begining was 15degrees so was really cold, later the air condition on the next days work better.

It's a great location. Definitely walkable from the bus/train station, but not with a lot of luggage. My room was lovely, but on arrival, there was a welcome basket and a card with another guest's name on it. Oops!!! They moved my room immediately.

It is definitely not in a quiet spot on Saturday nights. The following night, you could hear a pin drop in the streets of Bergen as everything is closed down, but lots of open air restaurants with loud music just next door that play until way past midnight.

The hotel was lovely. Very clean, nice good size room with very comfortable bed. The location was perfect for exploring Stavanger. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and generous serving times. The staff were all friendly and polite, providing first class service. I had a bit of a medical emergency during the stay and they couldn’t have been better in looking after me and getting help. If we go back to Stavanger we wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Bar prices - but that’s Norway!

Breakfast was THE BEST!! The quality, taste and staff was great! Will remember this for a long time. I even posted pictures of this in my FB page to show the variety of food being offered. The raw bee honey was so good to taste and looked amazing.

Parking was a problem. Don't park your car opposite the hotel, cost too much. Instead parking in a town garage was the cheapest. I would recommend providing information about the parking on their website to alert people of these options.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff was nice and made us feel very welcome throughout my visit. The breakfast was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. The gym, although small, was well-equipped and perfect for my needs. One of the highlights was the free option to use the hotel bikes to cycle around town, which added a fun and convenient element to my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, excellent amenities, and thoughtful extras.

All the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful including housekeeping who helped me when I accidentally broke a glass. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They provided soft and comfortable robes and slippers. They provided high quality shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. There was a good choice for breakfast. There was also free coffee and chocolates in the lobby.

We happened to be there during some very warm weather and there is no air conditioning so it was too warm. The reception did provide a fan and some complimentary soda..

Beautiful throughout. Fantastic breakfast with vast selection, if you can think of it, they had it ! Fab location overlooking harbour and many fascinating shops and eateries behind, in the old picturesque town. Nothing was a problem, and we were easily moved,AND upgraded,when a small tug left a generator running and we said slight noise overnight ! We'll be back again without a doubt. Just Fabulous 👌 And courtesy pushbikes, Tea and coffees available all day at reception, occasionally croissants, and choc mints !! AND two restaurants 🤪
