Had a comfortable room overlooking the sea and Cromer pier. Hotel and dining room was nicely decorated. Food was good and carpark on site. Very locally situated. Could walk everywhere.

Location and view amazing. Room 7 is a great room. Great vibe in busy pub with nice wines and amazing choice of beers. Breakfast was good.

Unfortunately the scaffolding around the bathroom marred the view and even with the blinds the workmen could see into the bathroom. We get that work needs to be done though. The sliding door into the ensuite is good as you get the great view but the doors were flimsy so I think something a little more substantial would be better. Swap the TVs round. The bed linen could be better quality for the cost. Bar prices very high, but bar was packed so obviously not a problem for the punters.

Lovely warm room with a very comfortable bed. Good sized bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, and it was so nice to have table service as opposed to the usual buffet scramble every morning! The restaurant offered a really good choice of menu and the quality was exceptional. The bar area was friendly and welcoming and obviously very popular with local residents too. Staff throughout were really friendly and attentive. There was a nice lounge area at the rear of the building. Free on-site parking was easily accessible and secure.

It was disappointing that there was scaffolding in place, which marred the view, especially as we had paid extra for a sea view room, but hadn't been advised of this.

We loved the bar and resturant area . Bar had great atmosphere and great service and views of the sea. Resturant had a great menu both breakfast and dinner menu. Service and food was fantastic. Really friendly helpfully staff in both bar and restaurant.

We had a room with a sea view witch was lovely, but we could hear the Saturday night life going home at all hours throughout the night . But only on the Saturday not the Sunday. You can hear your naughbours in the next room snoring and tv and boiler come on every time they take a shower. . Also the room above you can hear them walking around . These where the only down side to our stay . Room was comfortable and clean.

Good situation in heart of Cromer with a view of the sea. The food was exceptionally good. The menu was imaginative - especially the breakfast. The catch of the day fish was definitely the freshest fish we have tasted in a good while. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Everything was clean and well kept.

The room was very hot when we arrived, in fairness the weather had suddenly become warm and sunny. We soon worked out how to open the window and turn off the heated towel rail. The mattress could do with renewing as it was starting together a bit lumpy.

The food here is incredible, beautifully cooked, served hot and well presented. The flavours were well balanced and mouth-watering. I had the Crab risotto to start and the salmon for main. Breakfast was served at table and was speedy and very good I opted for scrambled eggs and salmon. The view out of the dinning room window is the sea and its a lovely dinning room warm and welcoming. I had the Billiard room bedroom which was huge with roll top bath and big TV both in the room.

I had to go to work! I would definitely book to stay here again

we loved the room. we were kindly given an upgrade to a Seaview, which was stunning. The room was perfect for the two of us, very clean with everything you could need.

To say we didn't like is a bit unfair..... but a couple of points which are preferences rather than complaints. The bed was a little bit too soft and maybe small. yes we booked a double so not complaining but when you are used to a bigger bed it seemed small. I kept feeling I was going to fall out. The quilt could've done with being bigger, again I felt that it only just went across the bed and over the sides by no more than 3 inches?

We had room 6 which is a suite with a lovely sea view ,large comfortable bed , nice and quiet... we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast is of a good quality and the pub is probably the best in Cromer, its really nice if you can get a window perch to watch the world go by while having a few nice cold beers. Hotel is right in the centre of town so great location and Indian restaurant right next door as well as another two pubs. I would return when next down this way.

Climb into bath for a shower, do prefer a proper walk in shower. Only parking for about 8 cars , never managed to get one so a decent walk to a side street to leave the car, not a problem as the sun was out but if your elderly or its chucking it down could be an issue.

The Red Lion Hotel was one of the most loveliest places I’ve stayed in! Perfectly situated with an excellent bar and restaurant. Comfortable rooms, including facilities like a kettle, fresh water, teas, coffees, hairdryer, hair wash and conditioner, body wash, soap, and a tall powerful fan. Lovely view from the room and very much enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. As everyone else says, the breakfast was outstanding. Excellent service and selection.

There was only a few minor things: 1. The toilet seat lid was a bit temperamental, and would not stay upright unless you held it firmly up for a few seconds to keep it from falling back down before you sit. 2. We’d of appreciated that water was already on the breakfast table with the pastries for breakfast. We were quite thirsty when we came down, and after waiting 10 minutes for our order to be taken, I had to run to the “communal” fridge to get a water for us. This morning we overheard other guests complaining of the same issue.
