The hotel was in a great, easily accessible location. The room was nice size, bed comfortable with a lot of pillows, nice bathroom.

On Booking, it’s stated that the location has a private parking (which is true), and it is possible to reserve it. This is however not true. When I messaged the hotel, they said it’s not possible to reserve the parking, I just have to arrive and see if there’s availability. I didn’t know this when booking, it wasn’t clear enough, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel if I knew this. We were travelling through France to home for long hours, and it felt too risky to arrive to a location where there possibly wouldn’t be a parking spot available. The staff replied very shortly in messages here on Booking and didn’t communicate enough.

Good location within a few minutes of the town centre. Very friendly staff. We were able to park right outside. Comfortable room. We were up graded to a perfectly nice room but would not warrant the €180 it would normally be. We paid €100. Downstairs the building was very characterful.

It’s a shame that the lovely central courtyard (as shown on one of their photos) is used as a car park for a handful of cars rather than an outdoor seating and/or bar area. It could be a great place to sit in warm weather. What a waste!

The staff were great and everyone very helpful. We took our two border terriers and the hotel welcomed us all. Fantastic! We will definitely be back.

This hotel had a really old timey boutique feel- we used actual keys (not cards!) and there were old books around the hotel that we read. The space had real personality. The staff was very pleasant and kind. The breakfast was simple and delicious.

Note to guests who are driving, there's limited parking in the front to meet someone who can open the back entrance- you also might need to do a couple loops around the block find the garage! But hotel staff will meet you by the entrance so you can't miss it. The surrounding neighborhood doesn't have a ton of personality but you can walk 5-10min to more interesting restaurants

We had help with parking the car, advice about where to eat (although it was a bit expensive). The room was spacious and didn't feel crowded with the extra bed. Comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

There was a smell of damp in the room when we first arrived but went away one we had opened the window. Also the fan in the bathroom didn't seem to be working or we couldn't figure out how to turn it on. This was a problem as there was no window in the bathroom and so we wondered if this might contribute to the damp smell in the main room?

Breakfast exceptional. Really impressed with the vast array of traditional French foods Staff member at breakfast seemed incredibly invested in providing exceptional service/availability of buffet items, an asset to the establishment. Friendly welcome from reception staff. Location perfect.

Lose the red carpet in the bedrooms, made the room feel dated. Bed was too firm. Shower not great.

Very clean

While the outside seemed not so stunning, the inside was a good demonstration to the owner's attention to detail. The room was cosy and comfortable with a simple design. The bathroom was just right, of course the addition of a biddet would make it perfect. The reception area was very clean and simple with a very polite and helpful staff.

One nightstand lamp didn't work, but not a major takeaway from the experience. For older guests a walk-in shower would be best.

The building is very historical and pretty, lots of original character. The staff are friendly. The rooms are very nicely decorated. We loved the place!

The only thing that could have been improved would be to pay more attention to keeping the soaps etc refilled in the bathroom, which were low when we checked it, and almost empty on the last day.

4 of us travelled by Motorcycle and whilst booked, I had forgotten the parking application. Parking is in a secure courtyard enclosure. A bit of a problem with expensive vulnerable bikes. However the Ladies had a reshuffle and managed to accomodate us. For this were extremely grateful and showed the type of customer focus Hotel Wilson has. This was a third time of staying here and will always use it when coming down country.

No dislikes! great small and personal hotel.
