Easy access to and from the ferry and town, with or without a car. Good hot water and water pressure. Bed comfortable and room was clean. Easy check in and out. Desk in the room and local info sheets at check in. Coffee in the morning for coffee drinkers.

It is a dated space, the buildings were originally built up in AK to manage the Valdez oil spill clean up, so sound can travel a bit if you have a particularly noisy group around, but if you just want a safe and clean space to sleep with a comfy bed, you'll be fine.

The property’s slogan is “Spend the night, not a fortune” and that about sums up their value proposition. The rooms are mostly quite small and simply furnished. But they’re clean and relatively comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is on Spring Street, one of the major streets in Friday Harbor, though it’s about a ten-minute walk to the main downtown area and the harbor. If you just want a place to sleep while enjoying the town’s shops, tours, restaurants, and pubs, this place provides that at a reasonable price.

The blinds in my room were very simple, letting in a lot of light and making it hard to sleep past sunrise. The hot water restrictions keep your showers short.

The Manager went above and beyond to make sure my stay was Great. Wonderful customer service!

My initial room had a noisy AC unit and she immediately placed me in a different room. The Inter Island Ferry was out of service, when I was supposed to be transferring to another Island. She made sure, I had a room for an extra night and kept me informed as to updates on the Ferry availability. I really appreciated her efforts on my behalf. Very happy with my stay. It is nice to know there are people like her that place Customer Service as a beacon for their property.

Great location - walkable to to downtown and ferry dock. The staff is top-notch and very understanding of guest questions and needs and generous with giving advice from personal experience (especially regarding late or cancelled ferries!). Also, they are very professional and responsive to any troubles, major or minor.

We were pleased with everything and would definitely stay here again if we return to the islands.

It was very clean and convenient to travel to downtown and around the island from this location. We liked the coffee bar and visiting with the staff and other people. The history of the property was very interesting and beds were comfortable.

We chose a queen room for each couple and felt cramped in those rooms. However, we managed to take it in stride as we were outside most of the time anyway. The other thing we did Not like was the hornet nest which was above the window of the office building. The hornets were very active and several people were bitten!

WE had a double room with two bathrooms and two closets! the most comfortable room for two people. No waiting for the other person to use the bathroom, no sharing space at the sink or closet. Loved that there was a grill to use and will use it next time when it's warmer. Close to everyting in town and was able to walk to breakfast and grocery store and shopping! Office gal was very kind, helpful and capable.

That my time was limited to only a few days!

I was looking for simple, basic lodging within walking distance of the town of Friday Harbor and with parking. I got all of that. Plus the staff was welcoming and helpful. My room was basic but met my requirements. I also liked that there was a little fridge and shower gel and shampoo was provided.

There was a little bit of air conditioner noise from other rooms but not too bad. Everything else was as expected and very satisfactory.

Best value for hotels, refrigerator and microwave, convenient to Spring Street School and to the town. The staff is friendly and helpful and a nice assortment of pamphlets of things to do on the area.

When I was at The Orca Inn in April2023, there was coffee available near the office. I miss that.....yet I'm happy there is an ice machine and glad the new lady (who was moving in_____don't remember her name) showed me how to use it.

I got an upgrade to a queen room due to my long stay. The room was still small, but was sufficient for one person. The staff is friendlier than usually in this type of hotels (have visited several). The price compared to other accommodations in Friday Harbor is good. And yes, you can easily walk from the hotel to the centre of FH. There is also a big supermarket next to the hotel plus a bakery and another food store selling local stuff on the other side of the road.

Personally I don’t need anyone to make my bed, but I appreciate attention to details when cleaning the bathroom 😊.

Small room but unbeatable for the price. Friendly staff, working TV, microwave and fridge, great place to stay if you're just looking for a base to explore the island. Next to a great grocery store and just a short walk to shops and restaurants.

Room is a little outdated- carpet needs replacing etc. and the shower door is hard to close but again, for under $300, it's a good value.
