Loved the music, the retro vibe, the location. If you like 50s music, you will love that they play it all day around the pool and you can even turn a knob to pipe it into your own room! Everything was very clean, the cleaning staff was very friendly. I enjoyed using the pool, playing shuffleboard, and relaxing outside on the lounge chairs in the evening with the cool colored lights all around. The location was perfect to access the beach.

The mattresses were as hard as a rock. I ended up looking online for a hack to make it tolerable for night 2- ask for extra blankets and layer them under your bottom sheet. The blankets saved the day. I was tempted to sneak a pool lounger into my room to sleep on! 😂 I will be bringing a foam topper next summer because we will definitely be back to this adorable motel!

🔥🔥🔥 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ AMAZING!!! This is one of the greatest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The only thing greater than their quality of service is their content of character. Their hospitality was warming, the cleanliness was outstanding, and the experience was unforgettable. We were treated like royalty, they called us by name, and made us feel that the whole motel was ours. One block from the beach and the beginning of the boardwalk. Deli and ice cream shop across the street. Perfect location. The pool is clean, clear and comfortable. The first day we stayed at the pool all day. They play 50’s/60’s music to fit the doo-wop/mid century modern retro-futurism of the hotel. And, they have speakers in the rooms that play the same music as outside. We felt like we were in a time capsule of yesteryear, where things were slower and pleasant. We booked another stay before we even left. It is everything you want from a vacation motel, and MORE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

-Super easy parking. It was spacious, a lot of parking lots available. -Charming style and design of the motel. Its colors and music will make you very happy. -A beautiful and clean swimming pool. -Friendly stuff. -Location is fantastic. Very close to the beach and boardwalk. -A clean cozy room and a great water pressure. -AC was working great. -Clean smell in the room. -Nice and soft towels. -It’s a family place. There were young children with parents and we felt very safe. -Nobody was smoking around. Made us super happy!

I will mention small things, that didn’t affect our stay. -Some rust and mold on the bathroom tiles. -A bathroom faucet was leaking. -You need to apply some force to open and close bathroom faucets. -Toilet is shaking when you sit and stand up. -Water doesn’t go down fast when you taking a shower. -My daughter said that in her opinion the mattress and the pillows are too hard. -When we came to the bathroom it was someone’s hair in the tub.

We very much loved the charm of the place. It's like it never left its inception date. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, as we got there a few minutes before our check in but they let us check in anyway. The pool was clean and the atmosphere was great. If I ever come back to wildwood crest, I'd probably stay here again if it's a short stay. You do have to control the a/c in the unit, and there are some rules that are a little unusual but it wouldn't cause me to not stay here. Side note, you only get ONE parking spot per room, if you travel with more than one car, someone will have to pay for street parking.

The only real feedback I would give is proper bedding. The blankets were fine, but the pillows are quite uncomfortable. Plastic type inside, made it hard to get comfortable.

This is the hotel if you want retro. Very good facility. Quiet location. Pool is great. Room is fine. Beds ok. Towels and shower are good. The levitating ramp is fun. It's a family run business. Great location near beach and boardwalk.

I wish the upstairs gathering room had been open for guests. Make a plan if you need to do laundry--bring your own change and soap--the hotel is not equipped to help with these needs. It is open 10 am to--whenever, end of day.

For Breakfast I went to my usual places, Uncle Bills and Surfside West .Both were delicious as always. Surfside West is owned by the son (Michael) of the owner (Tommy John) of the Surfside Restaurant (1963-2002?) that was located across the street from the motel. That building is now the Doo Wop museum

All was great as usual. Even the (long) walk on the beach to the water was made easier with the board walkway. The beach is long no matter where you stay

Loved the retro vibe. The pool was great. The pizza party and entertainment on the 4th was so fun. Close to the beach. Wonerful.

The bathroom was horrible. Faucet in shower leaked hot water the entire time. There is mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. The toilet rocks when you sit Everything was nice except for the nasty bathroom.

All the vintage charm! From the incredible script neon sign outside, to the vintage charm in each room and all around the property. The respect paid to the history of the motel and vintage design is the reason I stayed here for a week!

Everything was excellent during my stay.

The motel is restored fabulously with a delightful pool and very friendly and accommodating staff! I especially loved the 50s and 60s tunes being pumped throughout the property. The speaker in the room with volume knob was the best thing possibly ever.

It’s not a negative, merely a suggestion- a little food with the coffee would be nice, even something simple like oranges, yogurt, and granola bars.

I loved the 70s vibe, the pool was beautiful. The Cabana area was absolutely gorgeous; close to the beach! Love the old style room keys!

The only thing I would have preferred is if the pool opened a bit earlier and stayed open later. The hours are from 9a-8p, and would be so nicer from like 8a-9 or 10p. Might be worth it to hire a part-time lifeguard/clerk for the summer. Otherwise, great stay!
