I really liked location of the property and pool size also pricing was very low considering other hotels.

It could’ve been more clean

The Tangiers is a typical 1960's-1970's motel in Wildwood Crest. Some would say it is dated but it is exactly as motels were in those days. There is a coffee shop on site. There isn't an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor but it was OK. The facility was well kept, clean and quiet. It was as we expected as we needed a one night stay on short notice. We've been coming to Wildwood Crest since the 1960's so we knew what to expect.

The motel was as we expected so there really isn't much else to say.

This is a nostalgic motel in Wildwood crest, family and I have all been coming to Wildwood Crest since the 70's and it is one of the nicest places in NJ to visit in the summer. The motels from 30 years ago are slowly going away to high-rise hotels that are pricey and condos that are even more expensive. These smaller "family owned" motels are a great value and bring back many childhood memories. You will receive way more personal attention at these family owned places, at least that has been my experience, and many can share their own memories of this area, which is great.

Again, this is an original motel/hotel but could use some minor updating to the rooms, newer furniture, maybe offer an ice machine and laundry services on the site for those staying more than a week or with small children. The check-out time I would like to see changed to 11 AM and the Check-in time closer to 2 or 3 pm. You basically lose an entire day on the way in and out.

The staff was very friendly. Annmarie is awesome. She was very accommodating and understood we went there for a basketball tournament and had a lot of 11, 12, and 13 year old boys. The outdoor area was the best. It allowed for the parents to have a place to hang out. The rooms were ones u would see in Wildwood. They are small, but it served it's purpose. There is a restaurant on site called Birdie Cafe. I had breakfast there. It was delicious. Their first year there and the hours will be accommodating as the season progresses and they see the crowd. I would definitely stay here again, but I would love to experience a hotel that is a little closer to the boardwalk with the shops. We are not that far, but I only wanna walk a block, lol. AC worked fine, and the lil kitchenette area was also good. Some of our parents complained that their AC wasn't working and they had markets in their room with the colorful comforter. Get rid of all of that. Our room had no carpet, and we had white linens. Could have used 4 pillows per bed, but that was a minor thing. We could have asked housekeeping for it. Overall great experience. Big selling point is their outdoor area. If ur coming with a group request to be on the side where DJ plays so u can be noisy if ur hanging out. Owner gave us that suggestion for next year if we are back in Wildwood.

The only thing that I will say that could use improvements is some upgrades. The bathrooms are dated. I mean pretty 80s, 90s. No issues with plumbing or anything like that. Could also use a full length mirror on the wall or bathroom door.

Conveniently located to beach . Very family friendly - nice having the restaurant right there. Many things for family to do . Beds were a bit hard but Iike a hard bed ! Staff was wonderful

I’m not a smoker - seems many smoke ( yes outside ) but smoke really comes under the doors . Linens could be a bit updated . Bathroom was tiny tiny !

Location, size of room, Plenty of seating near pool

Second year in a row I encountered tables near pool that need to be replaced or fixed up a bit. One had black tape to cover up holes on table surface. Also, they claim smoke free, yet have tall outdoor ashtrays outside each room. Nothing more of a turn off than sitting outside your room to chat, enjoy the view, or have a cup of coffee and smell smoke coming from the other customers.

Very friendly managers made us feel at home. They were very attentive to our needs. They have a cafe restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Clean place and good food at very affordable prices. The swimming pool was clean and taken care of every day. We stayed 6 nights, but I wanted to stay a bit longer. Will most likely return in October before the end of the season . The Office Representative/Manager on duty exceeded expectations... Due to a sudden rapidly moving thunder/lightning storm and severe heavy rainfall the streets were flooded from Angelsea thru Diamond Beach. We were delayed checking in as a result of this storm; however, upon our arrival, this gentlemen demonstrated genuine concerned of our welfare. He politely checked us in and offered additional assistance, if needed. We would stay again. Highly recommend - 5 Stars!

This was my 1st time back in wildwood after 20 years. This place did not disappoint! The staff was pleasant and always accommodating, it was extremely clean and the attached cafe was delicious. This motel is just far and close enough off the beat and path of the craziness of the boardwalk. Super quiet and I can't mention enough on how clean it was. Front office lady Ann Marie was a joy to speak to. Definitely will stay here again next year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We love staying here have been staying here since I was a kid and now take my kids. Always a great time and never any problems. If there ever was it always got resolved right away.

Nothing everything was perfect just like it always is when we stay here.
