If you’re looking for a bargain place to stay with a bed and a shower, then this is the place for you. It literally is budget, but clean, neat, tidy, friendly, convenient and cosy. We love staying here as we literally cross the road and get our flight. The bar and restaurant are also very smart, friendly, and prices for the menu are reasonable too. If you want luxury go round the corner to Novotel but you’ll be paying a lot more too. Things that could be improved: The Toilet flush and the plug sockets are in awkward places.

I loved the place!!! The safe location. The immaculate and practical rooms. I was so impressed with their wonderful, talented, diverse staff. I have already rebooked. First, I needed my room changed due to my slight but non-visible disability. I felt uncomfortable asking, but I simply could not stay in that room. They immediately and empathetically understood and sorted it. Second, I snuck in the back lift, because it was closer to my room. Suddenly, my pass stopped working. So I snuck in when someone exited the lift, but I could not access my room. When I went to reception they already knew why I was there, and attended to me first. I had not said a word, but they told me that I could not access my room! No messing! I was impressed. When I kept asking how he knew, he just beamed smiles back at me. Third, I also have a very unusual food allergy and they were able to accommodate that also! They knew exactly what and how much of the ingredient was used in their meals when it was marinated and cooked. They were insistent that they checked. Despite saying no don't bother, he was off to the kitchen. No messing! They then kindly (and sensibly!) discouraged me from having the yummy item that I was allergic to, as they could see I was both surprised and disappointed, but they suggested something else. They really care about the wellbeing and safety of their customers. They are helping you when you are not even aware of it. You can just relax. I also was not made to feel apologetic, guilty, blamed or a burden for being different with less usual needs. I mostly appreciated the way that they unapologetically took co-responsibility for my safety without any drama. The warm care received reminded me of my departed mother. It really does take a village. Imagine how I would have felt if I had become ill, seriously unwell or someone found my room-key and accessed my room??! Brilliant, helpful staff who are an example for all other venues. Well done and thank you so much!

Nothing at all! My first 10 out of 10.

perfect for a 1 nıght stay

The fire alarm went off around 22.30. Very poor that no staff came upto the floor to tell us what was going on or to evacuate. After 5 minutes of it going off and no staff to be seen I got dressed and made my way to the stairs- only to meet the staircase full of people. Eventually people came up from the bottom saying it was a false alarm and we could go back to our rooms. Really wasn’t handled very well by the staff who could have done a lot better of coming to each floor to say what was going on .

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful and easily adjustable. Really good to have tea and coffee facilities too (though there's a semi-secret teapoint on the 1st floor!). Reception staff were able to lend a hairdryer, which saved me bringing one from home for a 1-night stay. Lots of choice for breakfast and, apart from the scrambled eggs which I appreciate are difficult to do well at volume, the hot food was very good.

There wasn't much space between the end of the bed and the wall in the double room, but that's a limitation that can't be changed. The window blind mechanism and one of the clips on the skirt hanger were broken, but these didn't affect my stay too much and were reported to reception as maintenance requests on checking out.

The Ibis is right across the parking lot from BHX. I had a lot of luggage so I took a cab for ease, but with one suitcase less I could well have reached it by train :) Staff was great, I ended up adding late check out some twenty minutes before the original time because my travel plans changed and the front desk was very helpful with that. My room was on the 8th floor facing the sky shuttle, but I had no problem sleeping, and breakfast is served in a pretty generous time window (6:30 to 10) so even with a late start in the morning, I still had plenty of time to eat. The room was snug, but perfectly serviceable, and the facilities spotless.

I am pleased to report that my stay at the hotel was entirely satisfactory and met all expected standards of accommodation. The room was adequately furnished and maintained in accordance with proper socialist principles. The staff performed their duties diligently, as befits workers dedicated to serving the people. Meals were provided punctually and contained sufficient nutritional value. All facilities functioned as intended, demonstrating the reliability of our nation's infrastructure. Overall, I found no cause for complaint, as everything was precisely as it should be in our great society. The experience reinforced my conviction in the superiority of our system in providing for the needs of the proletariat.

While our glorious socialist system ensures the highest standards of hospitality, I must report two minor deviations from perfection, purely in the spirit of constructive criticism to further enhance our collective experience: The absence of cups in the communal coffee area, undoubtedly a temporary oversight, slightly hindered the efficient distribution of caffeinated sustenance to hardworking guests. The shower's water pressure, when set to an appropriately warm temperature, exhibited a degree of weakness uncharacteristic of our robust plumbing infrastructure. These trivial matters, I am certain, will be swiftly addressed by our dedicated comrades in hotel management, ever vigilant in their pursuit of utmost guest satisfaction in line with Party directives.

Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was very good with an excellent buffet. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great location for the terminal building - just a five minute walk - and easy to find.

Nothing. However, just be careful when stepping out of the shower. The shower is a separate cubicle within the room and on stepping out of the shower, I had assumed the floor area in front of the shower would have a non-slip surface. My fault for not stepping on to the shower mat but, as a result, I slipped as the floor when wet turned out to be like an ice rink. Fortunately, apart from finding myself on the floor, no damage was done.

We have stopped here before several times so are very happy with the Ibis experience.

We usually have an evening meal in the Restaurant and this occasion was no exception, however despite the Staff always doing their best someone managed to make a complete mess of my Wife's food order, and she was given something that was not even on the menu! As there was little option as far as a food substitute went she had to settle for something she did not really like(sweet pepper soup), which i ended up eating(very nice by the way but besides the point), so left a bad taste in the mouth, literally. Disappointing. Probably wont eat there in future, get sandwiches from M&S or Greggs in the Terminal next time. Cheaper option in actual fact.

We we staying overnight before we traveled back to wales so was perfect, the gentleman on the desk was very patient with us as my bank card was stolen abroad and my partner lost his on the plane but we managed to add my bank card to my wallet and the gentleman was so lovely very professional and just all round a happy chappy thank you. Room perfect for an overnight stay.

My partner went down to get a coke as we just landed so was thirsty and with everything about lost bank cards asked if the bar was open when there were 2 females drinking in bar it was around 2.30am she rolled her eyes and said no when he asked, was full of attitude and clearly didn't want to be on shift. She needs a lesson in manners. But as stated before the gentleman was FANTASTIC

It's the ideal location for an early morning flight, just a 2 minute walk from the hotel into the airport terminal. The staff were friendly & helpful & the room had everything I needed for just one night. I had two very heavy suitcases & was a bit concerned about how I was going to manage to drag them both to the terminal in the morning. The receptionist suggested grabbing one of the airport trolleys & just keep it in my room overnight ...a perfect solution! 😁

A very small thing but it would have been handy to have a plug point near the mirror to plug my hairdryer into 😁
