It was our first trip to Lagos and I am very pleased with our stay at three Mariah’s. The communication was excellent. We felt very safe and we were able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants in the old town of Lagos the ladies at 3 Maria’s served up a wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed it over overlooking sensational views on their top floor dining area. We were given excellent directions and information about the town which really made all the difference. We would stay again.

Three Marias met all of our needs. I cannot think of anything that would have made the trip any better

The ladies who run the establishment or wonderful. We had a great room, bigger than expected, and it had a balcony, and the location is extremely quiet at night. The bed was very comfortable, hot water in the shower quickly, not much more we could ask for. The breakfasts were amazing. The whole table laid out with everything you could possibly want and they will make you eggs anyway you want as well.

It's not that we didn't like it but you should be aware that breakfast is on the roof so there are a lot of stairs to walk up. If you have mobility issues you might want to think about that.

We had an incredible stay — easily one of our favourites during our trip to Portugal. The location was perfect as it is very close to Old Town. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our space was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Check-in was seamless, and we really appreciated the thoughtful local recommendations. Breakfast was delicious, and the view from the rooftop where we ate and hung out was stunning!! The team was consistently kind, helpful, and attentive. Truly a standout experience — we’d absolutely recommend it and can’t wait to return!

From the time we arrived at this property the staff made sure that we had everything we could possibly need. Lilia was waiting to meet with us with a cool drink & to go through everything the town had to offer, including restaurant options which were great. The breakfast is just perfect upstairs on their beautiful rooftop. This area is also a great spot for an afternoon drink. The rooms are a great size, beautiful & clean. On our last morning we had to head off early before breakfast & Lilia put together a little bag with some goodies so we weren’t hungry. It’s the little things that make this guesthouse stand out in my eyes. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation & if we ever get back to Lagos we would look forward to returning here.

Easy check in with lots of info about the area and we were even allowed earlier check in the room was ready as we arrived by about 12:30 by train. We felt very welcomed and bed was super comfy and great breakfast every morning! Lilyea (sorry if I spelled this wrong) was the perfect friendly host all 3 days and we met Maria on our last morning who was lovely as well. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends to stay. We were just within the walls of old town so easy walking distance everywhere but very quiet at night for sleeping

Nothing everything was great

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, with a patio attached to enjoy the sun. The staff was incredibly kind and solicitous. One morning I had set out some clothes to dry on our patio. When we returned in the afternoon we found they had installed a portable drying rack on our patio and transferred all the wet clothes to the rack. How amazing was that? Breakfast was amazing - delicious buffet options, made to order eggs each morning, served with great care by a wonderful staff. Best of all, the breakfast was served on the beautiful rooftop terrace. Would go back to the hotel in a heartbeat.

Next door guests were a little noisy

Breakfast up on the terrace was superb not only because of the city & beach views but also with excellent food options & served with a smile by our beautiful host Lilly. The location was in the old town but only a few minutes walk into the main tourist centre where the cafes, restaurants, bars & shops were vibrant and lively. We heard no noise at night & felt very safe walking around the amazing cobble stoned streets. Our host Lilly was so helpful in making sure we had all the most up to date tourist information on what to see, best places to eat & was more than happy to book day trips for us. Her motto of “our home is your home” was genuine & very gracious. Nothing was too much trouble.

The fact that we left way too soon. Could have easily stayed another week. Will definitely stay at 3 Maria’s again on my next visit.

I am excited to write this review. This was my third trip to Lagos, but the first time I stayed for more than two days, and at 3 Marias. I’m so glad I did! The location is perfect, central to all the restaurants and sights. The property was clean and functional, and the hospitality of the hosts, especially Lilia, was outstanding. She was friendly, very knowledgeable about the area, and provided excellent recommendations on local cuisine, beaches, and activities. The daily breakfasts were simple but delicious. I will definitely consider booking 3 Marias again on my next trip 😊

The hotel location was ideal- far enough outside the hustle of downtown to be quiet but just a quick walk away. The room was bright and airy with a nice little balcony. The rooftop was wonderful with both covered and shaded seating and great views of the city. Breakfast was excellent with the option for eggs and bacon as well as a nice buffet. The staff is what really made this place so special- everyone was so kind and welcoming

The bed was a bit firm for our liking, but that may just be a personal preference

Lillia and Maria are fabulous hosts - they make you feel at home and provide so much information to enjoy your stay; breakfast was the best we've had in our three weeks in Portugal ( quality food products and eggs prepared as you wish); our room was bright and spacious; the roof top deck is great and the location of the property is ideal ... only a short walk to the square and beach and there are so many restaurants !
