Moher House is situate in a lovely quiet area with great views all around. Easy to commute in to the bustling Westport town and harbour. Marion is a lovely lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay the best possible. We were welcomed with coffee & scones (a lovely touch💚). The bedroom & amenities were lovely and so comfortable. Westport offers pubs & restaurants galore - we were spoilt for choice but enjoyed trying the out! The harbour is gorgeous with great choices of eateries and a lovely walk to work off the excesses. We ate at The Helm which was bustling - I could understand that as the food was delicious .. the clam chowder to die for!

Westport town on a Friday is a traffic nightmare with parking impossible. Make sure you park a little further out and walk in.

Moher House is an excellent B&B. The house is cozy and homely. It is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We were welcomed with tea and fresh scones. We have stayed in numerous B&B’s during our trip to Ireland and this was a first. Was fantastic. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious. We had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. And my son had french toast and bacon. All freshly cooked to order. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Only small negative is that the B&B is on a main road so we had to sleep with the window closed. But this is really a very minor point. We didn’t hear the traffic at all.

Great little B&B on the outskirts of Westport (only 8km away) Marian greeted us warmly with tea and coffee and homemade scones. And we had them outside in the sunshine, which was beautiful. There was plenty of parking and also free WiFi. The room and bathroom was small but had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast, which was included in the price was absolutely perfect and freshly made for us. Everything was lovely presented. Marian was very kind and a great host. Would definitely recommend this little gem. Thank you

Home was very clean and neat with a beautiful, manicured yard. Parking was great and easy to maneuver to get our luggage inside. All rooms are on the main level and no stairs, which I was delighted! Our room was small with a clean bathroom and hot water. We were delighted to see both a top sheet and wash cloths (face cloths) as most of European lodging does not offer either! It was a chilly night and we would have loved heat. Apparently, in Europe the heat is on for a few hours in the early evening and then shuts off until around 7:00-7:30 the next morning. Marian served us delicious breakfast with homemade breads. Thank you again, Marian

Marian was a great host, inviting us to a cup of tea when we arrived. Also Marian's fresh baked scones are the best I've ever tried. The house is very beautiful with all the flowers around. Good start to climb croagh Patrick. Breakfast choices were good as well. I forgot my itinerary at Marian's and she reminded me which was very kind of her. Thanks a million for hosting us. From the second we met Marian we felt at home. We were greeted with Marian's freshly baked scones and tea and that set the scene for the next 4 days. Moher House was everything it claimed to be AND more and the food was delicious! Our trip to Ireland would not have been the same had we not stayed here and we'll definitely be back one day. Such a special place and such a special person!! Marian's stories are the best x

From the moment Marian opened the door we were given the most pleasant welcome. We stayed one night in Moher House to attend a birthday party in the town of Westport, Marian dropped us in herself to save us getting a taxi, she couldn't have been more accommodating towards us. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was beautiful the next morning with lots to chose from and a lovely homely chat with Marian. I would highly recommend a stay in Moher House and would definitely stay again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The place was spotless and beautiful! The proprietor, Mrs. Marian O'Malley, was the most amazingly beautiful and gracious host. Her breakfasts were exceptional and were, what I considered, pieces of art! She makes a great Ambassador for County Mayo and the Republic of Ireland. We loved our stay and wholly recommend everyone to try it out.

Marian was an exceptional host who immediately welcomed us into her home providing tea and scones after a long refreshing shower after our Croagh Patrick trek. She provided us knowledge on the local town for food and drinks and even dropped us into town in the evening which was amazing! The beds were super comfy too and the breakfast was top class!

Marian is a bright, kind, and charming hostess and an excellent cook. When we arrived, she made sure that we were comfortable and she guided us to a very good dinner seaside in Westport. She made several suggestions for activities we might enjoy, helping us to become more aware of and informed about the counties of Mayo and Clare, and she prepared a hearty Irish breakfast for us. We loved visiting with her and her daughter! Highly recommend.
