While access to Clew Bay was easy and each morning's breakfast was excellent, the staff is key to a visit to the house. The hotel looked after my every need, from drying my rain-soaked coat and shoes, to supplying plasters for my Croagh Patrick scrapes, to even supplying me a cane after I left my own behind at the train station. It was always service above and beyond what I expected from this charming hotel on the edge of Westport. The hotel is also just steps away from one of Westport's greenways for bicycling.

Note that the hotel is on the edge of Westport. If you want to be in the heart of the city for its music, its food and its adventures, you'll either need a car or a serious love of walking. The town's quay, located very close by, does offer some options for food and shopping, but just a few.

Beautiful country home/estate B&B. We had a wonderful stay. The home and rooms are lovely. Our two rooms had great water views. Beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom with showers and tubs were great. The hosts were lovely, kind and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Great location to Quay - short walk down the street. Would definitely recommend and wished we could have stayed longer.

Very clean and the owner was friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size with a king size bed which was very comfortable. Breakfast was good with good choices. Good place for access to local areas of interest.

Hot water in middle of the day was lukewarm so only possible to shower/bath early or late but not really a problem.

Breakfast was excellent with fresh ingredients and great choices. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. From our arrival until our departure we were very impressed with the attention of very kind staff.

We were disappointed that the restaurant was no longer in operation at this lovely location. However there was a very nice restaurant nearby for evening dinner.

We were in the attic room even though the hotel seemed very under-occupied. a long way to carry luggage without an elevator. For some reason the stairwell and landing lights weren't on during the day and it was difficult to navigate the stairs and unlock the room in the dim light. Sadly we were not made aware of the lounge and honor on arrival which would have been nice to spend some time in during the rainy evening.

The Ardmore house was a great little stay on the outskirts of Westport Ireland in Quay. Very scenic and a short walk from a few shops and restaurants down the street.

The bed that we had was a lil stiff but didn’t affect our time at the property.

Everything was perfect, from the initial welcome to the late checkout the next day. The Ardmore exudes luxury. The room was very spacious and the bathroom huge. Views of the sea from the breakfast room. Lovely location near the old port part of town with good choice of eating places.

Stay excellent and would happily re-book. Old style very nice decoration throughout which I very much liked, also liked the background classic music during breakfast, if you are one of these people like me, very clean room. Staff very helpful for whereabouts and sightseeing. Location great for day trips.

Great staff. Lovely old fashioned country house/hotel. It felt like the only thing missing was the golf course or riding stables ;-)

It was hard to find, and nobody, including tourism office. There was a little sign in the bushes, but without wifi it was nearly impossible.

Our stay at Ardmore Country House was just wonderful. We enjoyed it a lot. Our room with Sea View was exceptional, Breakfast was delicious, Staff was very very friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and it was the best part of our stay in Irland. Westport is a nice little town, very cute. Some good pubs and restaurants are nearby to the Hotel.
