Westport as a destination was recommended to us whilst visiting Galway, so we weren't too sure what to expect but knew we wanted somewhere central, and family friendly as we have a 3 year old. Westport Plaza was incredibly placed (2 min walk from centre) with ample private onsite parking, a fantastic onsite restaurant Covey's, and a pub in the neighbouring hotel. We also used the onsite swimming pool and spa which was a lovely experience.
The hotel is ever so slightly dated so could do with a refresh in parts, but it's only noticeable if you look for improvements to be made. Secondly, sections of the spa were under refurbishment when we visited so I wouldn't recommend booking unless you have a treatment lined up - the relaxation room after is fantastic.

We had an amazing stay and were upgraded to a junior family suite, which delighted us all. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious and offered plenty of choices. The accommodation and facilities were top-notch. The Jacuzzi bath was a real treat after climbing Croagh Patrick.
There are no issues, but I would like to mention some important recommendations to enhance the guest experience: 1. It is essential to install signage exiting the lift for the spa on the third floor to guide guests effectively. 2. Booking a meal online should clearly indicate that the Plaza Bar is exclusively for residents and reservations. 3. Clear signage for the swimming pool is necessary, as it ensures that all guests, including those with hearing impairments, can easily find their way to the facilities at Castlecourt Hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would gladly return! The location is perfect: just a short walk from Westport town centre, making it easy to explore the area without needing a car. My room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and I really appreciated being given a quiet room with a small balcony, just as I had requested. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent throughout my stay, which was a big plus. The on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise: both the food and the prices were great, making it a convenient and enjoyable option for dinner. Breakfast was included and absolutely fabulous, with plenty of delicious choices to start the day right. Although I didn’t get a chance to try the spa, everything else was spot on. My tip: if you're a light sleeper or prefer a peaceful setting, ask for a quiet room away from the busy Castlebar road. Highly recommend this hotel, I really enjoyed my stay and hope to be back soon!
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, but one small downside for me was the use of moquette (carpet) in the room. Personally, I’m not a fan of it for hygiene and aesthetic reasons. That said, I know it’s a fairly common feature in hotels across Ireland, so it wasn't entirely unexpected.

The staff were superb, very friendly and engaging and really helpful. Public areas were very good, bar and restaurant also good in terms of size, atmosphere and quality of food. Bedrooms were really spacious and comfortable. Leisure facilities including the indoor pool and gym very good.
Minor thing that could improve the hotel would be to have a bar with lounge type set up. Both the bar and the restaurant feel very similar and would be nice to have somewhere to relax and have a drink that has couches, more tvs for sport, open fires etc. Having said that this is not a big deal.

The staff in the bar and restaurant were second to none. We had two small toddlers and they were so accommodating ( esp Seamus…so good with our kids) location amazing.
We were staying the weekend of 17th December which was Christmas party season. As paying guests we felt we should have been given a courtesy call to see if we wanted to book a table or block book a percentage of tables for residents. First night we were only given a 5 45 choice for table which we had to take. We were on our way to walk down the town and just happened to ask at reception at 5 30 about availability so had no choice but to take it. The following afternoon at 3pm I was told 8pm was the earliest I could get, with two toddlers was totally unsuitable. Returning at 5 30 to the hotel we circled and could get no available space and were told by reception unapologetically that it was first come first serve and to park on the street.

Bed very comfortable, shower excellent and meals and breakfast in Coveys were excellent
Parking is dreadful. I spoke to desk person to suggest that there should be signs asking people to think of others as they parked and not park over white line and so using double spaces. I also suggested at the desk that the entrance from the carpark (which is the first sight of the hotel) is unattractive with old shed like door towards lifts and needs a console table with a nice plant and maybe a picture on the wall to brighten the entrance and make one happy to be there

Three of us stayed for 3 nights in 2 rooms. I complained about the initial bedroom I was allocated as it overlooked the outdoor bar area and there was a wedding on, coupled with the first hot weather in ages. The staff were incredibly helpful and whilst they couldn't relocate me the first night did change my room for the following two nights. The staff in general (front desk, restaurant, cleaning staff) were incredibly lovely and very helpful throughout out stay. The 2nd room I was given was one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in (and I travel a lot). I would recommend getting a room with garden view if possible. Breakfast was great, swimming pool & sauna area were spotless, gym was a bit dated but just a sign the equipment was used a lot - which is a good thing. Dinner at the restaurant was also really nice. Location is brilliant as it is right in the centre of Westport. The parking is also plentiful.
Some of the balcony rooms overlook the outside bar area - not probably a problem if it is raining but there was unusual hot weather and it was very noisy on the first night. My initial room was a bit dated. It would be nice to have healthier snacks in the snack machines. The gym could use some air conditioning and some newer mats.

Hotel in good location. Room was very nice, spacious, clean. Its really what we expected for the price we payed. Batroom is very beautiful, with jacuzi bath. Safe , mini fridge, balcony in the room. Breakfast was 10 out of 10. You can get full irish breakfast and use continental bufet aswel. Very nice restaurant and bar. We had a dinner aswell. Didnt left disappointed. Very enjoyed food and drinks. Excellent service. Aswell it is expensive. But worth every penny. Would come back again.
All was ok.

Breakfast was included and was a really nice set up. There was a buffet but you ordered a hot breakfast separate. The staff were very friendly. I liked the spa, 15 euros each for an hour seemed a reasonable amount to pay especially when we were the only ones in there. The room was big and the beds comfy. The hotel is right in the middle of town so everything is very walkable from there.
Some of the furnishings were a bit tired. For example there was a very big crack in one of the tiles in the wall.

Fabulous Hotel. Brilliant staff, so helpful and friendly. The hotel is ideally located on edge of town, walking distance to the shops. Free parking. We ate in the hotel both nights, food was lovely. We also used the pool on both days. We visited the Wild West soft play centre which was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Had requested an adjoining room and they had none left which was a bit disappointing. Had two rooms side by side which we made work but wasn’t ideal.
