The room was very clean and nicely appointed with fridge, microwave, 2 larger and 2 smaller chairs, a table, 2 Queens (very comfortable). Located just off highway, easy check-in. This is a 1960 or 70s refurbished motel. As I said, very clean and comfy. Extra security in a deadbolt on top of the old push and turn lock which is honestly kind of nostalgic with the key that has the "Guaranteed Postage" on it. Just a few hundred meters from the trans canada turn. Great value for 3 adults

I have no complaints, but maybe the fridge on a stand of some kind.

Good value. We stayed in unit 22 in the back. It was quiet. Traffic & cleaning cart noise would be louder in the main section. If you want 4-5 stars, then pay the money & go elsewhere. This motel was great for the money. Pets welcome for a fee. The area had a variety of food options to choose from. Easy access to downtown. Soft beds, but I like it that way.

Unfortunately, the window opened right up, so you couldn't keep it open at night for safety reasons. I never asked if they had a piece of wood to insert in the window track to "lock" the window open a few inches.

This older motel appears to be tastefully updating its facilities and decor. The bed was very comfortable. The room we stayed in was very clean and everything worked. It was surprisingly quiet despite being on a main road. It was great to be able to park right in front of your room.

The room was a wee bit small and the bathroom area was cramped... but certainly manageable.

Older motel that has been well maintained. Clean room with a very comfortable queen bed. Pet friendly property welcomed our pup and gave us an additional blanket for her. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Great value for the money. This was our second stay at this property in July and would not hesitate to stay again. Highly recommend to all travellers!

The room was a great size. The bathroom was huge! The whole place was super clean! Loved the fact that they offered 'real' glasses and mugs - the paper ones are just cheap, awful and just plain tacky. The towels were thick! Parking was convenient. I highly recommend this place and will stay there again. It was very conveniently located to Highway 17 North which was great for us.

For my taste, the bed was a bit hard. That won't stop me from staying there again and it is great for those who love a harder bed.

Staff was very polite and friendly. I had some extra requests that were accommodated quickly and without any issues. The room was clean and comfortable. They even had a nice and clean anti-slip mat for the tub, which was great as sometimes hotel/motel tubs are slippery! Usually I would never use something like that at a hotel as they always look unclean, but here everything including it was extremely clean.

I always have a good experience here, and ease of booking. I know this isn’t the fault of the property but the green space beside the hotel is quite filled with litter. Not a big deal but not sure who is responsible. A little clean up would go a long way!

The staff person, the girl with the spider web on her hand made the rating here. This person took the time to show us a map of the city- and gave us essential tips on how to enjoy the Agawa Canyon Tour train experience. Her advice of "go early, at least by 7:30 am" gave us prime viewing seats in the train. She also pointed out directions to the train station. She was WAY ABOVE customer service and this employee made Northlander SHINE.

The only issue we had was no wifi in the room for the phones. There were lots of easily accessible plug-ins but wifi connection was only there for a bit at first when we arrived. It worked okay on the tablet though albeit slow.

Accepted my 2 little doggies. Was excellent location for medical appointment. Lots of shopping & food choices at its doorstep!

Unfortunately the bed had a dip in the middle & was not comfortable. Also there was only coffee & no tea offered.
