We rented this room last second in the middle of the night due to roaches at an air bnb that was more expensive than I’d like to admit. I’m extremely happy I was able to book here for a very decent price last minute. I truthfully didn’t expect too much, but I was thoroughly impressed. The property was very well taken care of. The room was cleaner than I expected. Everything smelled clean as well as looked the same. The owners were very kind and helpful when it came to the area. The location was within walking distance to the Soo Locks as well as the whole downtown area. We were able to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July right from the property with a perfect view. We will definitely rent here again with the whole family!

I believe it was the owner that checked us in. The power was out because of a tree falling. He was very nice to chat with and kept apologizing for having to do things a little less quick than normal. The motel is obviously older, however the room was clean, pillows were comfy, and it was spacious. There were alot of vehicles but didnt hear any noise while we were in the room. Not far from downtown area.

You can't possibly make everyone happy with beds, I found it a little hard for my tastes but it was still fine.

My title was just to grab your attention. Single story building with parking right out front. Staff was very friendly. Room was perfect for a night with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. The TV had cable and there was a coffee room with coffee and other appliances for guests to use. There are a few venues close by and the walk to the locks took about 30 minutes.

The curtain was not in the best shape and would not go all the way down. This allowed the light of the hotel sign to shine in so I had to block it out with a towel.

Very clean motel accommodations. Although there is no microwave in the room, there is a common area with a microwave, coffee machine and toaster so we had everything we needed. It was too cold to try out the barbecue but it looked in very good shape. Really liked there was a table and 2 chairs for eating meals. Motel is close to the shopping area and about a 25 minute drive to the airport. Young man at reception was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Just mention on the website that there is a common microwave.

The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was helpful and courteous, and the location was very convenient. It's an older hotel but is well maintained.

The shower temperature was difficult to adjust but we eventually figured out how to get it to the preferred temperature. The amount of surface space for two people is a bit tight for laying out belongings - we were there for a single night so it was fine. It would be OK for 2-3 nights - otherwise it might become frustrating.

The Hotel/Motel was in an excellent location. It was super clean and the staff was very friendly. The bed was good and the room was a nice size but the bathroom was very small. Instead of having coffee service in your room there was a space set aside for a all the guests to help themselves to coffee, hot water, microwave, toaster, plastic flatware, plates, napkins etc. plus they had two picnic tables set up outside with use under a cover. We enjoyed using the facility. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again if in the area.

This is our second stay since 2020. Fair rates and no surprise fees like some chain hotels. Friendly staff. This appears to be a very old building, but the room was always very clean and basically everything worked. Easy location for access. They have some amenities in a central room, but I didn’t use them. Never had any bugs in the room, like I have at several higher end hotels. Housekeeping does a great job here. Electric baseboard heaters are straightforward and quiet which is nice.

The shower knob to control the temperature was stripped. Thankfully it was stuck on hot, and the hot water didn’t disappoint. Would rather have that than be stuck on cold. No bathroom fan that I was aware of, but wasn’t a problem in the dry winter. Toilets are really small, like my girlfriend calls them Webster’s toilet. A little awkward to use, but they do add to the old school charm of the place.

The motel was classic mid-century but the staff did a great job with maintenance and cleaning. Very simple but perfect for what we were looking for. Staff was friendly and took time to chat and give information about the area. There was no prepared breakfast but a nice kitchenette area was available with picnic tables and an awning to prepare your own.

The staff were wonderful. We needed to freeze plastic packets to keep our cooler cold. Although the room has a fridge, it didn't have a freezer. Chris found us space in a freezer so we were good to go. His dad retrieved the cold packs for us in the morning. Chris also recommended a laundromat.

Nice and quiet, perfectly away from the crowded area but close enough to be there in a moment. People working there were awesome and free coffee 24 hours a day! And the vending machine is way cheaper than anywhere else for snacks and just as well stocked as local gas stations.

Bed was too hard for me to sleep, but that's 99% of hotels/motels. They all have beds made of sheet rock.
