We loved staying here, this beautiful old townhouse has been renovated to accommodate visitors in an exquisite way. Our room was on the top floor with a terrace wrapped around the whole room. The food was amazing, same goes for the breakfast and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. We loved every minute of our stay in this boutique hotel.

Only one thing and that's that other guests can access the terrace as well, which is not what people normally do I think, but as I just got out of the shower, and was drying up wrapped in a towel on the bed, another guest who I think wanted to admire the view from the top floor and walked around the room on the terrace. As our back entrance was open he looked inside to see the interior of the room before noticing me on the bed. If the hotel could make an extra door at the top of the stairs, nosey hotel guests can be avoided.

la villa is a beautiful property in the middle of the french quarter of PUNDICHERRY. A little green oasis. The staff are not perfect but try very hard and give their best. Normally we don t use the restaurant in the hotel we stay. But in this case, we looked at so many other places , only to end up at la villa. In the garden, magic in the evening. Very good food. Wonderful breakfast . A particular thanks to Shanta, Hans and Lakshmi for looking after us

The manager promised us a room by written and could not give it to us, as he probably promised the same to another customer… Fortunately the staff tried its best to compensate the lack of trust and professionalism of their manager. Beside that the hotel remains a very good choice, probably the best, in Pondicherry.

A small boutique hotel in a fenced off garden. Excellent atmosphere, extremely quiet. Beautyful designed room, furniture, blinds. We had the big room (more like a studio) on the top. Nice swimming pool. Excellent food, in the room, on the balcony or in the restaurant-garden. Extremely nice and helpfull personel.

Room is very expensive. Some signs of deteriation, which is a pity and not in line with the pricing.

The courtyard was delightful and sitting on the veranda for breakfast or later for a drink was very relaxing. A very calm, shaded and green setting so close to all the hustle and bustle of Indian city life. The manager and staff were wonderful.

Nothing. The only thing that would have been nice is the restaurant didn't do Indian food. For that you had to go a few meters down the road to their sister villa. There you get a tremendous meal in Wonderfull surroundings.

I loved everything about La Villa. We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Staff could not be more gracious. Breakfast everday was lovely. The ambiance of the seating area is magical. Room is spacious as well as the bathroom and all is decorated tastefully. Bed is comfortable. Location is perfect.

My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

The location is fabulous, the facilities excellent, the people extremely helpful, and the food at the restaurant delicious.

I stayed in the room on the top floor, which even though it is the most beautiful, is not soundproof, so at 6 am, I was woken up by the noise of cars, which were two streets away.

This is the place to stay when in Pondicherry! You are right in the heart of the White Town, everything within walking distance. This restored French Mansion is a delight. There are only 6 rooms, so it feels very personal. There is a superb pool on the second floor, and it is open 24 hours! We stayed in the India Song room on the ground floor, and it was superb. Large amd open, with a massive bathroom, and a separate living room. The best thing about this place must be the staff. They are just amazing, and make sure that you have the best stay ever, and make sure you want for nothing. From the very welcoming checkin from Kavitha, and Shantha Raj, to the excellent service provided by the 3 waiters for our meals. These 3 need a special mention, they just made out stay that much extra special! Thank you to Sunil, Maseullah and Jayasheelan! The food! Wow, amazing, delicious, it was fantastic! We liked it so much, we ate here every night. The room had a fully stocked bar, and this was complimentary, which was a nice bonus! Stay here, and you won't be dissapointed. One of the best places we stayed at on our 2 week India trip.

An excellent select little oasis in Pondicherry with a great team of people who strive constantly to look after the guests. The tasting menu is something not to be missed, very well done La Villa and all your team.

Leaving after 4 fantastic nights.

The location of the property is perfectly in the middle of white town providing easy access to everything in the city. The breakfast pretty decent. The ambience, the privacy, the friendly gesture of all the staffs and the peaceful atmosphere of the whole property is par excellence.

I think the property is perfect the way it is and it should continue to provide similar excellent services for years
