The price and location of this motel is great! We have stayed many times, and we will continue to do so. This is not fancy accommodations. It is clean, comfortable, and has what you need while traveling. It was hot outside, and the A/C unit worked great. Water gets super hot, with good pressure. The owners are always very nice and welcoming.

I would love it if they eventually get new beds, but that will never stop me from staying! They're clean, and I'm grateful to have it after a long day of adventuring. Thank you for everything, we hope to be back soon!

This is a true gem of a place that is shockingly affordable for what it offers. Decent clean rooms with all the basics and with nice views. Wounderfull location next to Franconia notch Park and Cannon mountain ski resort. Beautiful grounds next to a picturesque creek. An astonishing lodge with a huge old style fireplace space with beautiful solid wood seating area and billiard table. Nice and generous breakfast that you can eat in the aforementioned lodge. A large indoor pool. A super helpfull young guy at the front desk who never seems to sleep and who went above and beyond to help when I forgot my backpack with my computer in the room.

For the price, I couldn't ask for more. If I had paid triple the price, I might have wined about the rooms needing some updating. But nothing really.

It was an appropriate size for 4 people. The pool was heated. They brought towels over to the pool right away when we went in there. The breakfast was appropriate to start out the day. The service was friendly and accommodating. I rented 2 rooms. One for my husband and I and one for my niece and her family. They were able to give us 2 rooms next to each other, and even though I am not crazy about stairs, it was nice being in the same building as the lodge, pool, and breakfast. Between the 2 rooms we had the whole corner upstairs. It was quiet and comfortable. I would stay again.

Only one of the pool cues had a tip and instead of cue chalk they had writing chalk. It was a little cool in the pool area. Basically there wasn't much to complain about. It just would be nice if they updated the cue sticks. Especially since you have to pay for the table. But most of the places I've stayed at don't even have a pool table, so I guess if you know you are going to be playing pool, you might want to bring your own stick if you have one.

My room was a little small, but I rented another room for my niece and her family and it was adequate. The lodge was nice and the pool was heated. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating, and gave us two rooms together. Breakfast was okay.I'm not crazy about stairs, but it was nice being in the same building as the lodge, pool, and breakfast. With our room and her room, we had the whole corner. Most of the pool cues were missing the tip and there was writing chalk instead of cue chalk. Only one stick had a tip. If you are planning on playing pool, I would bring my own stick if you have one. There was no microwave in our room. There was one at the bottom of the stairs, and I'm sure they would have brought it up to us if we asked, but we just used the one in my niece's room. It was a little cool in the room where the pool was. Overall it was still a great stay.

The location of this motel is amazing! The value was incredible! We've stayed here many times, and will definitely continue to do so. Our room was clean and comfortable. Carpets had just been cleaned. The owners and staff were very nice. Our bathroom was good size, and recently renovated. So glad to see the new owners are doing such a great job! Check in and check out super simple.

There's not much to not like about this place, especially for the price. Beds are a bit firm, but that's a personal preference thing. Our room did not have a microwave as advertised, but we did not mention it to staff. If we had, I'm sure they would have accommodated us! Thanks for another great stay, we'll be back!

Honestly I found this place very charming, a throwback to what motor lodges once were! I wish we had made a fire in the lodge and played some pool while we there as their lodge is very nice. The young guy up front is a beast, works a million hours a day and still is competent and friendly. I just hope he starts sleeping more while he's in his masters! Word to the wise, the Dutch Treat (a restaurant) down the way is quite nice.

Honestly, I liked this place (at the price I paid) and I don't want to throw one or two of my silly complaints in because I hope to not sully their image for other guests.

Excellent value to stay here. Under new ownership and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was found to be very clean and comfortable. The facilities are not new but well kept. The breakfast is simple items like coffee, juice, cereals, pastries, bagels etc. The area is quiet set far back from a main road that is not heavily travelled with restaurants, cafe and groceries only 3 minutes away. The small river in back can be enjoyed with a bench and picnic table set nearby. I will come here again.

I wished the indoor pool was opened but it was not at the time we were there. I found the mattress to be a little too firm. Future upgrades to consider would be a larger flat screen TV and exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Great location near Franconia Park. Motel right on the river with a picnic area. Basketball hoop and indoor pool. Friendly staff. The big grassy area was perfect for playing frisbee. Good value for the price.

We stayed overnight,the atmosphere was amazing. The staff and owner and family were so kind and attentive. The river view behind the establishment with a morning cup of coffee was beautiful. We swam in the pool and had a blast. The lodge is old school ski lodge vibes and was great history. The breakfast had many options and there was a nice wildflower view. We would stay again. We locked our keys in the car and the maintenance gentleman was so kind and helpful. Thank You

We had a decent stay at the Stonybrook Lodge and Hotel. We were looking for a low cost place to stay while traveling through the area. This place was a good value. Some pros: clean, super close to Cannon Ski area, indoor pool, "old ski-lodge" feel, fun pool table, nice hot showers.

Some cons: small rooms, furniture, carpets and bedspreads needed updating, very basic sleep experience. It suited our purposes.
