World class views Dog friendly Barmouth is under known little diamond. Perfect for dog owners, walkers, families.etc. Gary, the Manager, was excellent and over relied on by the owner and his good nature taken advantage of by the owner.
The position of the hotel is accessed up a very step road, ok to drive but for anyone with mobility limitations very challenging to walk. The TV ariel was weather damaged so the only programs available were via the online network. This would have been OK if the network was reliable, but a couple of times per hour the connectivity failed. The room would have. benefited from some clothes hooks in both the room and bathroom (the bathroom had 2 hooks on the back of the small double entrance doors that were useless) The bedroom would also have benefited from a pair of bedside drawer chests. But note these are personal preferences and are a bit picky. We enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived we were offered a superior family room with sea view as this was available. The room was large and comfortable and the views over the estuary were stupendous. We paid only for a standard double room which was what we had booked. We loved being able to take our Labradoodle, Cedric and we enjoyed being able to take him to a secluded sandy beach first thing each morning which was about 2 minutes walk away. The breakfasts were very good and I was able to have smoked salmon with my scrambled eggs on my Birthday which I requested and was agreed.
More hooks in the room or bathroom to hang up wet weather clothes and a mat on the floor for dirty, wet boots.

Amazing hotel with views that go on and on. On the outskirts of town but still walkable for the able, we tend to drive in as parking is plentiful. Rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. Bathrooms are beautiful with good shower pressure. Downstairs is a beautiful room with views right over the estuary where you can sit and have a drink from the well stocked bar and eat your takeaway. Breakfast has the usual selection for continental and there's a menu for cooked. Staff are great and very welcoming. Dogs also welcome which is good.
Nothing to dislike

Beautifully situated, staff very attentive.... Breakfast was plenty full and delicious and the best coffee we have had anywhere.
Would have been nice if there were a restaurant on site for evening meals as Breakfast was so nice, we had no doubt that an evening meal would have been just as lovely. Wooden beams in room and bathroom look beautiful but banged our heads on them repeatedly as they run throughout mid way through both rooms, one side of the room is sloped, requiring you to crouch, the part of the room tall enough to stand is not particularly a wide area, meaning when you do stand up, you again bang your head off the beams lol. It was entertaining though 🤣

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed with several aspects of the property. The highlight of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff, who were always friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, offering easy access to local attractions and amenities. The breakfast was another standout feature, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Overall, my experience was outstanding, and I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff at Bae Abermaw really makes you feel at home. The rooms are spotless, the breakfast is amazing with lots of choices and the bar is cosy and fun. The view from the hotel is unmatched, really worth it! They are extremely dog friendly, dogs are allowed everywhere and are treated like proper guests. No request is considered too much and they are always happy to give tips and recommendations, whether it be for walks in the beautiful area or for restaurants in Barmouth. We are already thinking of going back!

Excellent breakfast with lots of variety and the staff were very accommodating (eg prepared porridge even though not on the menu) Really comfortable and large bed. Great shower facilities. Room was cleaned well. Friendly staff all around. I’d definitely come here again Just a short walk (up a steep hill) from Barmouth itself. Nice quiet area from where to start walks or to pop down to the town and beach. They weren’t offering an evening meal/restaurant which was not a problem as there are lots of places to eat nearby and they sent a lot of locations. Do book ahead if you want to eat out as most places were at capacity (late July).

Stayed in a double, sea view room, this was beautiful. Views were stunning and bathroom was lovely. Lovely bar and even accessible if no one is able to serve. Breakfast was lovely and hosts were so friendly. Definitely returning when the weather is sunnier! Location is perfect, couple of minutes walk to a beach, you can walk across the big bridge to fields, or go into town for some food and drink!
Nothing, all was pleasant

I stayed at Bae Abermaw Boutique B&B with my wife and we were absolutely delighted by the experience. The hotel is located in a spectacular coastal setting, with stunning views of the sea and the mountains. The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and Snowdon is less than an hour’s drive away through beautiful National Parkland. Even if you don't want to explore more (which would be a crime if you are in the beautiful Wales, but on a rainy day can be excused) you could just stay and enjoy the beautiful view just like that or go for a stroll in the beach. The hotel itself is very charming and cosy, with a bar, a garden, and a lounge where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. The staff were amazing, very friendly and attentive, and they made us feel at home. They also gave us some great tips on what to do and see in the area. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a TV and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. We had a room with a sea view, which was breathtaking. We could watch the sunrise and sunset over the water, and listen to the waves at night. It was very romantic and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of continental or full welsh dishes (I have personally become a die hard fan of your pan cakes now! and can't wait to come back and experience them again). They also catered for special dietary requirements. The food was fresh and locally sourced, and the service was excellent. I also need to mention there was amble parking! We had a wonderful time at Bae Abermaw Boutique B&B and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Wales. It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, and we can’t wait to go back.
The only think I dont like is probably its not closer to my home.. I wish the staff in here were my neighbours, the beach was behind my home!
