The crown lodge must be the most underated place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The view from room two, sea view is incredible! I was mesmerised and sat looking at it for a good 5 hours!! I came here for some resbite but didn’t know how much I needed it until I left feeling like a totally healed person!! Harlech as a town is very small, but you really don’t need much. I’m normally the kind of traveller who checks in late and leaves early! I’m so glad I didn’t! It’s been my favourite stay of the year and I stay in some pretty top class hotels! Just wowed by this venue!

Absolutely nothing wasn’t to like!

Crown Lodge exceeded our expectations. The things we value most ( large room, ground floor bedroom, comfortable King-size bed, crisp bedding, tea & coffee facilities, walk-in shower ) were met. Free parking. Hearty cooked breakfast (included 2 rashers of bacon, 1 pork sausage, 2 hash browns, baked beans, choice of fried or scrambled egg, toast, coffee or tea, yogurt, cornflakes, muesli, bran flakes). Glorious sea view from bedroom window (#4). Impressive entrance hall. Walking distance to Harlech Castle.

Would have loved a bar on site or access to honesty bar.

The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful throughout our stay, checking that we were happy, what plans we had, providing local knowledge and directions as well as catering for my vegan dietary preferences at very short notice. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable! Parking and accessibility was great and the lobby area with the beautiful fireplace made things especially cosy.

The only thing I would change here was that the cold tap in the bathroom only seemed to give warm or sometimes hot water. I completely understand this was hooked up to the water pump for the rest of the room/house and it really didn't cause any issues (just a bit weird brushing teeth with hot water :) )

From the moment we were greeted when we walked in, to the last when we left, the owners were welcoming, friendly, informative and couldn't do enough for us. The room was comfortable, relaxing and well maintained.....felt like being at home. The sea view from the room just couldn't be beaten. And with it being in its own well established grounds, the lodge was not overlooked by anyone else, so there was an incredible sense of privacy as well. Breakfast was great and in a relaxed dining room where you could chat with other guests if you desired.

The only negative is that Harlech itself didn't have much in the way to offer in terms of restaurants or evening entertainment...... Also, a small fridge in rooms or communal area might benefit future guests.

The high standard of the accommodation. The location for access to the North Wales coast.spendid hosts. Lovely morning breakfast.also our fellow guests were very pleasant. Nice evening meal at Dylans Barmouth. Typical Welsh weather did not deter us from a nice walk on the beach. Mid afternoon lunch on our way home saw the first sun as we neared Whitchurch. The awfully weather!

Breakfast very good. A little sparse with the fruit selection, but the full cooked breakfast was excellent. This is a beautiful and characterful building, and the views out over the bay and beach are stunning.

The only issue was that the property was quite cold at times. It is a large, old building, with big rooms, and windows to match, and my sympathies are with the owners, it must be very expensive to heat in very cold weather. To be fair, extra heating was available in the shape of a fan heater in the bedrooms

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Crown Lodge! The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The view from the property is truly stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Each morning started with a delightful breakfast. On top of that, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place.

The Crown Lodge is an amazing place to stay, an impressive house just outside Harlech, with a wonderful view of the rugged Welsh coastline. The house has an elegant timber staircase and the rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. A delicious full English breakfast is available if desired and the hosts, Linda and Mark are warm and friendly, there is also secure parking. We wished we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful time at the Crown Lodge. The view from the property is out of this world. You see the dunes, beach and entire bay and mountains far into the distance. We had a sea view room with unobstructed views. The lodge is a beautiful old house, full of authentic woorden details. I loved all the different wallpapers. Our room was big, very clean and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had many options and was delicious. The couple running the hotel was very friendly and chatty. We enjoyed our time in Harlech very much.

Absolutely amazing stay in a large, comfortable room with incredible views. We appreciated the table and chairs, where we could enjoy our cup of tea and drink in the stunning scenery across the golf course and bay, with mountains in the background. The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being in any way intrusive. Breakfast was first class, freshly made to order and perfectly cooked. A superb location for visiting the many local attractions. A thoroughly relaxing break. Thank you so much.
