It's right next to the hall if you're seeing a show. A ramp accesses the door from the hall to the club after hours on the right of the hall. Rooms were clean and smelled lovely and fresh. Have plenty of blankets, air con, fridge with milk and cold drinks, microwave, TV, own bathroom with shampoo and conditioner and body wash. Lots of towels even an iron and an ironing board in the room Meals at club were awesome. I had the snitty surf and turf. Loved it massive meal and prawns were huge. Flat easy walk from the club to the rooms.

Bed was a little firm for my liking.

The tavern is fairly quiet with an older crowd to the other pub on the main st. The staff were super welcoming and the room was very clean. The pub gave us cold water with ice and the window overlooked a lovely tree. There is free cereal and milk and juice and a kettle with tea and coffee. The parking is plentiful and the instructions were prompt and detailed well before check in. It is one of the cheaper places in town and no stairs apart from a few to get in from the carpark. I’ve stayed other places in Bellingen with more character but it is very comfortable and more affordable. I would stay again happily. The drinks were just the pub are not expensive . The rooms were quiet and the pub patrons and staff were lovely.

Not as much character as other places and no additional facilities like rubber tyres to float in the river or a common lounge to socialise although the pub itself is kind of like that anyway!

The rooms are situated at the back of the hotel, so no concerns with pub noise, although the walls are thin so you can hear noise from neighboring rooms easily enough. The room was spotlessly clean and a good size, with the queen and single beds being very comfortable. Plenty of milk, tea, coffee, breakfast cereals and utensils were provided. Bathroom was clean with nice towels and toiletries also provided.

There are a few small flights of stairs to contend with from the carpark to the rooms, which could be a problem if you have luggage to contend with.

Good modernised room with space and good facilities offered for breakfast. Staff throughout were friendly and helpful. Comfortable. Adjacent to a busy bar and restaurant and when we went for dinner, a table had been reserved for us, as requested by a phonecall. Despite being very busy evening, a great evening. We really enjoyed our overnight stop!

Very little, the car was in an adjacent public car park, but no problems noted.

The tavern food was excellent great value steak and schooner night $22, delicious also other food on menu superb super kitchen, bar service staff. The 🍺 was delicious and cold. Very welcoming and family friendly. The cleanliness of the tavern as a whole was exceptional. Thank you all at the Digger Tavern.

Back entrance into tavern could do with brightening/prettying up and steps to carry luggage up to rooms could be an issue for some. There was an option to come through the front also. But plenty of parking close to the tavern.

Attractive plain comfortable light rooms - great (Note the in house works mean no resto etc but for me was not an issue)

I like windows that open - dont like to be hermetically sealed into a room and rely on air con whirring all the time - ist time i stayed had an opening window looki g out onto a beautiful flowering tree, the second time i didnt and as full couldnt change - not sure how u specify this when booking on line

In a small town somewhat off the beaten track we didnt expect to find the quality. It was a much bigger set up than it appeared. Large bar, good food with extensive menu. The rooms were a good size, very clean and nicely equipped. Of all the hotels and motels i booked, this one was the most surprising in a good way.

The only thing i didnt like was that the council have too many street lights so you can't see the stars. Couldn't fault Diggers Tavern . They do close the bar early. But there is another bar up the street if you want a beer after 20.00hrs

Staff were very helpful. Really nice. Little extras in room were much appreciated, coffee,tea cereal, milk and even juice and biscuits etc They also do there best to serve meals even though their bistro was destroyed by fire recently

Well of course it would have been nice if the bistro was still there but there had been a fire in October last year so it wasn’t their fault,

Nice central position, very quiet in the rooms. Food great, staff and service could not fault. Thankyou.

The only negative was the access from the car park at the back into the rooms. We are two senior women, myself in my mid 70s and suffer arthritis. Trying to get our two suitcases up those back steps was very difficult indeed.

Bellingen is very pretty and has great places to eat. But its short of reasonably priced places to stay and Diggers Tavern is really central and has all you'd expect from a decent motel. It has the plus of the pub/restaurant out front (there was no noise) which was a lifesaver when a massive storm meant even 5 minutes outside left you soaked.

Just understand its a motel not one of the historic properties around Bellingen.
