We absolutely an awesome stay, it was so peaceful and chilled you could feel the stress just draining away from you when you arrived, the hosts and their daughter were so friendly, helpful and accomodating that you really had nothing to worry about, the extras that we asked for.. slow cooked dinner, breakfast, cocktail/champagne on arrival, fresh bread and more were well above our expectations, well worth the stay and most definitely will be coming back again

NOT their fault at all but the only thing we didn't enjoy was the drive out there especially the first night when we went to the pub for dinner, it's a pretty long windy road...give yourself a few days to get used to it and it's all good and you'll be driving like a local in no time at all

Once you leave the highway and head towards the retreat, the scenery is spectacular! Our cabin was beautifully decorated in a morrocan theme, with mosaics in the bathroom particularly stunning and the spa for 2 perfect! The bed was very comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed and the views from the balcony heaven! And from the swimming pool...wow! The Friday night seafood platter was a highlight with beautiful fresh local produce, homemade dip, and prawn sliders. Also, it was great to have another night off cooking with one of the slow cooked meals on offer. We had a wonderful relaxing break thanks to our fantastic hosts Paul and Dianne.

A beautiful location and the cabin was amazing and self contained. The staff were so helpful and able to help with our travelling schedule. We had an illness in the family and had to move our trip forward and they were so accommodating. We even needed an extra night and they were able to help organise on extremely short notice. The check in system is easy and hassle free. Just drive straight to your cabin and let yourselves in. As we arrived late the first night, we even had the heat on for us, as it was a cold winter night, and the light was on to help guide us. The staff are so friendly and helpful. There was an offer for firewood so we could have a fire in the cabin, and the view from the back porch was amazing, great views and even saw some wildlife who came to visit. The kitchen has everything you need for a stay, easy and convenient to cook your own meals. The bathroom has a wonderful spa and spacious shower, with towels and robes provided. The bed was super comfortable and very relaxing. Overall a fantastic place, I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay when travelling in the area. 5 stars.

Basically the only negative was the distance from town, as we unexpectedly had to travel into Coffs quite frequently for a sick relative, but normally being away from the town would be a plus for us. But if you intend to stay as a getaway, to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, it’s a great location, especially if you come prepared with food and drinks. You could easily spend a week in the cabin without leaving.

The cabin was gorgeous.

The barrage of automated emails became wearing, especially because a lot were irrelevant. Perhaps they could be filtered so that if you paid on booking, you are not hectored about paying. The useful one was the one that said that Google Maps could misdirect you; it promised detailed driving instructions but that wasn’t provided. There was enough information in the one that said to go to South Usland Rd.

Pet friendly. Cabin was clean and well equipped. Large bathroom with shower and spa bath. The veranda was nice with a hammock and table and chairs to eat outside with a view. Bed was comfortable and the location was good. Quiet and peaceful. Paul was very helpful.

Wifi didn’t work. A vacuum for guests to use would help when accommodating pets. A cabin with fenced area outside for dogs to be off leash would be a bonus.

The views were stunning across the back of the property, the cabin was wonderful and very tastefully decorated and the bed super comfortable. It felt very private and secluded.

The property was wonderful. We were a little worried when there was no one at the office and no one answered the phone when we arrived but we found the cabin and just moved in. All I would say is it might be helpful to send customers some clear instructions on finding the cabin and checking in if they arrive after hours or they dont know when they will arrive.

The tranquil location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but, close enough to cover all attractions Coffs has to offer. Pristine rural surrounds with gorgeous views of upper Orara. Great amenities such as a jacuzzi, fireplace to unwind yourself and have a quality time with the family.

Phone reception was average depending on your carrier, given that there were no wi-fi.

The views were absolutely stunning. I’m talking 11/10 delightful. The cabins face west so you get amazing sunsets from the living area and main balcony. The area is idyllic - quiet and picturesque. The cabin was very cute and comfortable. Pet-friendly, which is so very much appreciated. So relaxing. Would stay again!

Only 1 minor complaint, that has more to do with the expectations set by their messaging. Their copy-paste/automated messaging states they’re available if you need anything, offer farm fresh eggs, daily firewood refills, etc. But the opposite is true. No response to text, email, or call, and the reception is never open. The daily firewood refills never happen, and by the time you realize that, it’s too late to buy your own. No response to buying their eggs, and no response when the heater was not working on a cold night, etc. Better if they were upfront that you’re on your own, so that guests can adjusted accordingly instead of being disappointed and inconvenienced. But this is minor and I would definitely stay there again.

Friday Creek Retreat was an amazing experience. Whether you want to just sit back, take in the view and relax or partake in hikes and exploring the surrounding nature it is all up to you. Dianne and Paul were wonderful hosts - always on call if you needed them, but also very happy to leave you to your own privacy. Just book a couple of nights of luxury and judge for yourselves.

Beautiful, cosy, secluded, oasis, with the most stunning views of rolling hills, river, windmill, mountain, everything you need, including full kitchen, open fireplace, own deck, and spa. Attentive, genuine service, highly recommended ☺️

There could have been a few more condiments like cooking oil, otherwise it was perfect. I'm sure they would have provided if we asked ☺️
