The motel staff are both friendly & efficient, especially the managers, Jess & Josh, who went out of their way to accommodate us during our three week stay & convalescence in Coffs. They juggled their room allocations around to fit us in & no request was ever too much trouble. Same same the cleaning staff. The Chelsea is in a prime location, so convenient to the CBD and entertainment venues.

The motel is well-aged, but the current managers are keen to & involved in improving its appearance & facilities. Good on them.

Staff were lovely. They gave us a choice of a room with a new bathroom or a room upstairs with an older style bathroom. Nothing wrong with the bathroom at all. It was fine. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. There was no sign of what was mentioned in previous reviews, apparently new owners and lots of scrubbing and replacing of curtains, bedspreads, etc. It is working!

Only thing could be improved is the maintaining of their Smokers' Rules. I could smell smoke from downstairs. BUT the air conditioning certainly helped. I suggest that the smokers should not be allowed to smoke outside of their rooms. They have a designated area for smokers and residents should use it.

From the tune I met the receptionist to the time I said goodbye, nothing but good! I was concerned about it being on the highway, but I had no disturbance whatever. I won't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to anyone who wants clean, quiet decent accommodation with free parking at the door for a very economical price (I am a pensioner).

Crisp and clean sheets. Nice towels. Good water pressure. Friendly manager … he upgraded us to a twin room on the ground level, instead of a queen room upstairs. Chinese restaurant right next door. Plates and cutlery provided by management.

Traffic noise, but really not that intrusive.

Honestly can’t fault it. You get what you pay for and we just needed a night as a stop over. Dog friendly, clean, functional, what more do you want..

Not much you really just get what you pay for it’s not Hilton price so it’s not the Hilton, but it’s perfectly suitable for a quick stop in a good location.

It was in a handy location, clean, good bed & welcoming staff.

I was disappointed that it had said the room included an iron & ironing board & also a hair dryer. But both the iron & hairdryer were absent. I could do without the iron but would’ve appreciated a hairdryer.

Well located between Dan Murphy's and a Chinese Cafe. In close walking distance to entertainment, shopping and cultural precinct. Positive staff, although Reception Desk not always manned.

Some paint peeling on bathroom ceiling. Of no real consequence but impacts on the aesthetics.

Absolutely fabulous position for an overnight stay on a trip from Sydney to Brisbane. Drive straight in, collect your key and milk, wander across the road to the club for a couple of hours, get some very tasty take-away Asian noodles from the shop down the road, head back to the room to eat and watch the tv then drive out the next morning. A comfy bed and pillows too.

There was no hairdryer! The internet didn’t work, apparently they get bad reception there. The bathroom taps in the basin had definitely seen better days and the shower recess needed a good scrub.

The location was perfect. Shops, restaurants, cafes, ex-services club, all within easy walking distance. Comfortable bed and clean amenities at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was upstairs, which was fine, but in need of some tlc, bathroom-cracked shower screen, exhaust fan not working; fridge pretty rusty (but still working ok), downlights over bed not working. Even though a little dated, everything was clean.
